Just noticed the armor actually doesn't include the crest, it's just a hole there, with the crest being printed on the chest.

Would that mean that Robin has two different torso prints already or is his crest printed on the armour (he has a different one compared to the other knights)?

Edit: Nevermind!

Ultimate Clay went from ugly to fantastic btw!

are you sure they are stickers ? Compare to the prelim photo, they are still not centered, but I don't see the thin 3rd dimension of the paper. Look flat too me, but I am no expert... :

Those are renders.

Nope, there's a hole in the armor. There's no way they'd mess up printing this badly.

The motorcycle mode looks really cool, and I'm really warming up to the horse mode as well! I still prefer the little hover-horses, though.

The Rumble Blade looks nice, and it's cool that the main part of the vehicle becomes a turret/ballista when the bikes and flier are detached, however ridiculous that makes the size of the base compared to the size of the blasters. The sword-shaped flier is brilliant! Once again, Mark Stafford brings his A-game.

It's still not clear if there are any interesting details inside or behind Jestro's Evil Mobile, but it's still a really good design. It's cool to see that Infernox can be hitched up to it in place of Sparkks!

The Fortrex interior looks nice. I love the round table and kitchen, small as they are. These are the kinds of features that LEGO Castle has long been lacking. I like the cannon on the top a lot better now that I see that when it's mounted on the Fortrex, it's crossbow-shaped, and the transparent fluorescent reddish orange lightsaber blades are the bowstring, although it still looks very silly when detached as a flier. It's really a very solid design for a mobile fortress. :)

Merlok's Library makes a nice expansion to the Fortrex, though I think they could have made room for more than just one book. That's kind of disappointing. Still, nice to be getting a library at all. The King's Mech remains a great design with really nice articulation,

The Ultimate characters have great figures and accessories. I love the idea of swappable accessories to match the Nexo Power shields. :) I hope there's another wave in the future that includes other characters like Axl and Jestro. :)

It's possible that they might be stickered in some sets and printed in others...

It seems almost positive by the irregular placement of the decoration and the sheer number of shields that they must be stickers.

Now, those books, on the other hand...I think I see an edge on a couple, but the design comes so close to the edge of the cover, and I don't see any signs of a sticker on the green book.

1x Hyper Cannon

1x Mini-Fortrex

1x Battle Blaster

1x Chaos Catapult

1x Lava Smasher

1x Infernox Queen Capture

1x King's Mech

Looking at the pics, the Mohawk baddie's name is Flame Thrower and the shirtless baddie's name is Crust Smasher. :classic:

Ultimate Lavaria looks amazing. I'm glad she comes with her standard legs so you don't have to have her in the spider esc mode. Though I wonder what piece is used to attach her bat wings. It kinda looks like the piece used on DC Hawkman and Space Batman.

Like the Holy Roman Empire, which was often said to be neither holy, not Roman, not an empire, Merlok's Library doesn't contain Merlok and it isn't much of a library. Still, good to see detail on those books.

I just realized what's been bothering me about this theme. It's basically Brikwars: The Theme. Except that they're treating the subject matter seriously, when Brikwars is inherently parodying.

This picture really drove that point home. (It's very reminiscent of the crest of the Deadly Spaceman.) That being said, I may need to get Moltar just for that one piece. Anyone know about how much that set is going to be?

Well I've just had a complete rethink about this theme. I hadn't planned on getting a single set but now.... There are some really fun looking sets here, hoping my eldest likes them, I can imagine this being the theme that gets him to diversify away fromStar Wars.He will be getting the king's mech whether he likes it or not...

What exactly gives you the impression that Nexo Knights is taking the subject matter seriously? I mean, yes, it seems to be trying to develop its world to be consistent with itself and develop its concepts to their natural conclusions, rather than treating the whole thing as a joke. But there is PLENTY of humor in this theme. There's literally a knight whose crest is a chicken (who rides around in what looks like a toy version of the main hero vehicle). There are all sorts of adorable robots, including a hilarious-looking Chefbot. The lava monsters include huge, terrifying golems—but also bulbous, goofy imps. There's a robotic horse that transforms into a motorcycle!

I just don't see how this theme could be considered more "serious" than Ninjago, and in fact the inherent humor and ridiculousness of both themes is one of the main reasons they both interest me so much.

The more I see of this theme, the more I fall in love with it's campy charm. The figures are superb, the flying horse vehicles are awesome looking, and there's some excellent looking sets and pieces. I think my only desire out of the theme is a couple of buildings. I'd love to see some towers with the dark blue colour scheme or a volcano dungeon or something along those lines.

Also, Lavaria's such an awesome figure. All the demons devils lava creatures are expertly designed. They're equal parts menacing and really fun looking, especially the little imps!

Hmm, this theme looks interesting. Space knights are cool.

Can someone give me an overview of what the theme is about?

Five techno knights, led by their mentor, a digital wizard, go on a quest to defeat the rouge court jester, who has been possessed by an evil book that summons lava monsters.
