PKW Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) I don't think that theoretical speed means too much. Once I made a remote controlled chassis with a 2-speed gearbox. 1:1 vs 1:3 ratio in the gearbox. Yet, I couldn't notice too much speed difference between the two speeds... Project dropped. It is important with high torque But if torque isn't enough motors can't reach their higher rpm rate, that probably happened in your chassis and this id The reason why before i've asked epico technic in He was dure that BBS could power 4 motors ;) Edited February 6, 2015 by PKW Quote
Epic Technic Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 Good news everybody, many things have been completed on the car. I have built the servo mechanism to turn on and off the battery box that powers the Ls. The M motor power switch + compressor doohickey thing is built and installed. The steering is done and everything is installed, now it only means bodywork. The bodywork is coming along very nicely. Thanks for the estimated top speed PKW though I doubt it will be so fast. Also it weighs around 1.9 KG at this point. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Will you make a v6 version, because that v6 version in real life is based of the mustang v6 and it was a beast. Anyways hopefully you will capture that race feeling through the body design or performance. Quote
Epic Technic Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 Well guys, the third gear just won't work, I've tried everything but it doesn't work so I'll just use the two speeds. The body work might not be finished in time and also the video. I might have to enter the dragline instead. Good luck to all the others. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) oh no, that is the second contestant that has dropped out, that I would potentially vote for. But the dragline is still a masterpiece and a great build. I never expected you to build such a high standard moc like that. I would expect that from a famous builder like jorgeopesi or jurgen krooshop. But realisticly the drag line would turn out more realistic than the radical would, and because no one has built a dragline for this contest, it makes it unique and could gain more votes than the radical. Because entering a supercar in this competition is a gamble even for me as well, because of hotting up supercars like jereon ottens alfa romeo and lipko's hot rod. But still good luck, I have no doubt that the outcome will be great for you. Edited February 14, 2015 by LeocornoProductions Quote

Epic Technic Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Some pics of it: At the back there will be a sticker for the lights, grill and license plate. Edited February 14, 2015 by Epic Technic Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 wow that looks amazing, despite not being completed, I hope the front turns out as good as the back. You've got the proportions spot on, everything is even to the real radical rxc shape. Good job. Quote
Epic Technic Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 The car is finished. Yyyyyaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!!!! I only have a few red beams left. It weighs around 2.6 KG; It has Gullwing doors and it looks mean. Vid comming soon... Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Great I'm so excited to see, but how will you decide whether to choose the dragline or the radical. Because the radical is the most anticipated and maybe the most liked but the dragline will realisticly do much better than the radical in the competition. The radical isn't crap, it's really good but there are so many other vehicles in the competition that might fare better than the supercars, this year its going to be very difficult for any of the supercars to make the top 3, and to even get there you will have to beat the likings of jereon ottens amazing alfa romeo and lipkos hot rod, but we will have to wait and see the final pics of the radical before I can define that statement. And also the dragline is a huge scale moc, and in this competition it seems that the way to get lots of votes is to build a huge scale realistic moc with striking functions, which puts your dragline against that artic equalizer by desert752. It's quite difficult looking at a perspective that a supercar will get more votes than a well executed huge scale vehicle like that. It's a huge gamble for you to pick one of the other; if you enter the radical and say that you came 4th place, then you will be restless with the thought that you could have made the top 3 with the dragline. But if you entered the dragline you would feel that the radical was a waste and doesn't serve much purpose because you probably liked it a bit more than the drag line. Either way good luck in the competition, but the problem is that you might not feel that happy entering one over the other. It's like having 2 wifes. Quote

I'm editing the vid as we speak. Quote
PROlego Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Nice model, but I think you can improve the rear air intake (I guess that is what the black panel is). It looks much more complicated to do than the Audi Quattro, but it turned out nicely. Quote
