SirNadroj Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 Thanks! (I am having a great MOCing day :-D ) Quote
Hinckley Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Sir Nadroj, Your MOC really freaks my megablocks, but I like them just the same. You are a very talented builder and I had never seen any of your work before. I'm glad you are sharing these because I'm getting a good idea of what you are capable of. You have a unique style and all of your stuff is very creative. I especially like your Kraken! And no, that's not a pick-up line. *wub* Anyway, thanks for sharing your excellent MOCs... :-) Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 19, 2007 Author Posted July 19, 2007 Thank you very much, Hinckley39, I appreciate that! :-) Quote
El Bucanero Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Very nice SirNadroj! Your faces have a correct facial expression wich is hard to achieve. Good job! Your hands arae also nice, but I'd make them a bit more thick. I fully agree with Mr Whacker, you have a very unique and creative building style! Your creativity is astounding! With your talent, I think you'd pass the LEGO modelmaster tests without any problems! But perhaps I'm being fooled, have you followed a LEGO modelbuilding course or something? It's something I'm planning to do btw... Mr Tiber Quote

Do you have any info on these courses, because I would be interested. Quote
Siegfried Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 I really hope to become a pro model builder for Lego I think you have a chance. I tend to just make Mini-Fig things and generally am horrid at anything like a face so I wouldn't even bother trying. You on the other hand (hand ha ha!) have the makings of an artist. Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 How would somebody go about becoming a pro? Is there are certain minimum age? Quote
Siegfried Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 How would somebody go about becoming a pro? Is there are certain minimum age? I do know that they have regular contests if they have any vacancies, and I am very sure that there is a minimum age as it is a job... unless I am mistaking what you mean. (I am referring to the jobs at the parks, not the set designers or anything else.) Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 Hmmm...interesting. I will have to keep my eyes open. Thanks for the info! Quote
El Bucanero Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Thanks Mr Tiber. I really hope to become a pro model builder for Lego, but I didn't know there are courses. Do you have any info on these courses, because I would be interested. Info... mmmmh, I think you'll have to contact LEGO for that... I do know, you'll be put to the test. The first test is already hard I think: You have a table, a heap of lego, and 45 minutes to make something interesting and creative. If the examiners are impressed, you may continue the course. Is there anyone else with info about this? I'm also very interested in getting modelbuilder for LEGO (I hope for Miniland) too bad I'm too young... but I don't know if I'm creative enough... You though, SirNadroj, certainly are! Mr Tiber Quote
Piranha Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Nicely done Sirnadroj *y* Wierd/sick and wrong but still good :-D Lets hope if you ever design lego that you give us some decent pirate sets :'-) Or I somehow become a designer(Not gonna happen)and make some megablok troll pirate set and Hinckley is the only who buys them >:-) What does that have to do with Pirate sets,I'm not sure but thats what happens from knowing Hinckley and buying to much MM lego :-P Piranha Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 22, 2007 Author Posted July 22, 2007 Thanks Piranha! But I don't know why everybody thinks these are creepy. *skull* (in a good way, I am in no way offended.) And if I do work for LEGO later in life I will certainly help out the pirate cause! (and not in that lame 4+ junk way! ;-) ) Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Creepy, I don't want to be in the same room as that , but *wub* Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 22, 2007 Author Posted July 22, 2007 Thanks! :-) copmike- I don't have any more sculptures planned right now. My next project is an Imperial Soldier fort/base. I will post pics when its done. (still waiting on a couple more bricklink orders to arrive :-| ) Quote

SirNadroj Posted July 22, 2007 Author Posted July 22, 2007 Thanks, Mr Tiber. I am going to use the technique shown here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=145764 to create the imperial soldier 'exposed brick' look. Like this, but more realistic. Quote
Timento Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Thanks, Mr Tiber.
