Rigolax Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 This project, presented on Lego Ideas, comprises a classical symphonic orchestra on an out-door stage. The orchestra comprises the director, 9 violin playing minifigs (3 violin 1, 3 violin 2, 3 alto), 3 cello playing minifig, 2 contrabasso playing minifig, 1 piano player, 1 drummer, 1 cymbalist, 1 Timbali player, 2 Horn players, 2 Saxophon players, 2 clarinet player, 2 tuba player. Hence, a total of 26 minifigs and as many instruments. The stage comprises a dark red curtain closing the rear part, and lightenings all around on the top. So, if you like this work, you can support it here : Classical Orchestra Quote
Dennan Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Nice build!! Although I think TLG will never make a set with 26 minifigs. If it could be seperated in several smaller "music" stage sets then there might be a potential. For example the base stage set, and additional your classic set (with less minifigs), a theater set, and pop concert. Quote
Rigolax Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 Yes, this could be an idea too. Small sets, maybe also individual musicians (i.e. only 1 minifig pro set), and bigger set having the stage or theater. Quote
droomangroup Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 i like the idea, but i think the stage looks too much like a rock concert. i would go with a stage that look more like an orchestral hall focusing more on the stage back wall with like classic details, or maybe do like a nod to the Hollywood Bowl, that would be cool. Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Hi Rigolax - I see you have been very busy today by posting two MOCs. This is fantastic, I have never seen anything like this. Very good. Quote
Rigolax Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 In fact, I was sick during one week.. so I had plenty of time to create some MOCs with LDD from my bed ;) lol i like the idea, but i think the stage looks too much like a rock concert. i would go with a stage that look more like an orchestral hall focusing more on the stage back wall with like classic details, or maybe do like a nod to the Hollywood Bowl, that would be cool. You´re right. In fact, it was thought to be an outdoor concert, on a stage that has been build for the occasion. But maybe it could be even more impressive on a real theater stage and back wall. I will think about it. :) Quote
droomangroup Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 :) It's a cool stage though, maybe you could make a rock concert set for Ideas using that stage, that would be really cool. I like this idea a lot, but I bet a rock concert would get more support and have a better chance since it wouldn't come with as many minifigs. Quote

I will try ;) Quote
