Doctor Sinister Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Here are my LEGO Daleks, created using LEGO Factory. In the end, I shortened the final product as they were quite tall Daleks and not nearly squat enough. Here they are on the planet Spiridon: And interrogating a prisoner: A detail of the final Dalek model - I wanted to use some other pieces but they either weren't available via LDD or they didn't quite work without making the Dalek too bulky - and the aim was to keep it at Minifig scale (even now they are a little too tall). Asuka Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Very neat and in a real good size, Doctor Sinister! *y* Quote
Doctor Sinister Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 What show is this from? They look pretty good for evil robots. Here's a picture of the newest style of Dalek, as seen in the latest series of Doctor Who. Dr. S. Quote
lostcarpark Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Lovely Daleks, particularly for LegoFactory. I'm delighted to see you included Dalek Sec. The colours aren't quite right, but here's a couple I put together, together with the Tardis. I've replaced the white domes with black/grey ones since, which makes them look a bit better. I can't claim any credit, as the designs were by Richard James and Jason Railton. Quote

I might have seen that one somewhere else - was it displayed on Brickshelf in a town setting? I tried to make a similar one in LDRAW but couldn't get it to work. Here's my rather feeble effort. lostcarpark Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Well here's one from the GWLTS (Great Western Lego Train Society) show last year (I recommend browsing the whole folder): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2079141 Of course, it also made an appearance in the Gold C3PO competition: http://festum.de/1000steine/myimages/c-3po...111907c3podrwho These are all different Tardises built to more or less the same design. By the way, Stephen Locke's larger scale Daleks are utterly fantastic: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=207827 Quote
Doctor Sinister Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 Oh my! Those large scale Daleks are awesome - and so accurate! *wub* Thanks for the link. Yes, I thought I had seen that TARDIS before - I don't suppose the plans are available are they? Dr. S. Quote
lostcarpark Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I shall ask the creator if it's okay to pass them on. PM me your email address and I'll see what I can do. Here's another rather good Tardis, by the way: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/brickish/WitC/bw-04-01.jpg Quote

Another very nice TARDIS - you even got the information panel on the front door! I prefer the use of those dustbin lids on the Daleks in this thread - but alas that piece wasn't available on LEGO Factory. :-( Dr. S. Quote
lostcarpark Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Here's another variation on the Jason Railton/Richard James Tardis and Dalek: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1604623 (catch it before Brickshelf disappears) And the rest of the diorama is also quite amazing! Quote

Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I didn't know what they were until I typed themm up in google. I don't watch dr.who but it looks accurate enough for lego. Quote
Brainbox Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Seeing as how everyone else seems to be showing off their Daleks, I thought I'd present mine too. I made this Sec a while ago. For the end of Series 2, in fact. The other images in the gallery aren't brilliant, so I'll just show off this one. Oh, isn't self-promotion great... ;-) Quote
