i was going do the comparasion of the Mauls but it was hard to get a good pic.but they are exactly the same.the new one just has a brighter red face.

as for the figs, it includes 3 probe droids and a maul. *wub*

now the bike, the new one is definitely way better.much sleeker.

see it here

now the ship, its rather average but it really grows on ya! *sweet*

see here (best pic)

the back of the ship, however is really great.really realistic.

see here

its great how it opens in the front.it fits binoculas, lightsaber, and the 3 probes.but the red lightsaber blades are actully from the sides.but i just stick the in with the probes.

Thank you for that interesting review, legoman. *y*

Hmm.... well, that set is a little like an ugly duckling I guess.... could be nice,

with some MODing.... or a lot of MODing perhaps. 8-|

*sing* Heavenly! Except for the absolutely unecessary saber-blades on the side. Lego, why, why, why? :-| >:-( Anyways, I love the make of it! The bike is definitely better. Lego has to remember that the handle can sometimes keep a fig in one place better than 4 studs underneath. Plus it's easier to take off the fig. Great job, legoman!

Again great review, its such a damn shame tlc didnt give us a far better SI. The only reason i can even think of buying the set is simply for the maul fig, thats if you dont already have one.

Sweet!

Nothing is better than getting a brand new set except getting a brand new set ON SALE!

Thanks for the review. I was always hoping that Lego would do a better version of this, but it still isn't better enough! Luckily I already have a Darth Maul so this set isn't too compelling.

Thanks for the review my EU Ultimate fan X-D

Its fun to notice that sets arrive first at different countries each time !! Its pretty cool !! Was the Tie Crawler in the shops by any chance ?

I do agree that the ship grows on you after a bit !! Since its not a OT set, I won't go into too much mods on that baby: I will only get rid of all those idiotic trans red parts on it ;-)

Yeay since the Mauls are different, I will have to mod (once again loool) my MF list |-/

I love that bike: need to make copycats for future Mos Eisley Diorama :-P

I just found out why all those new sets doesn't appeal to me anymore. There are two aspects on many recent sets that are missing:

Solidity and color consistency. (The third aspect, usage of huge parts doesn't need to be discussed anymore, I counted 9 pieces only at the box picture).

That are the things that make a official set look different from a im-t3h-9year-old-fbtb-kid-with-a-5-set-collection-and-0-mocing-skills-builder's MOC.

Example: Those black parts here and there. What do they look like? Maybe the designer was too lazy to walk a few meters to the bin with the dark grey ones and took the parts from the nearer black parts bin? Or another fantastic idea like "We want to include as much colors as possible to ensure that kids can build from this set whatever they can imagine!" - Hello! This is a SW set, 90% of the customers want to play SW with it, 9 % want to display it and only the last 1% wants to rip it apart to make something else from it! And the chance is sooo little that he bought the set in the hope to get a multicolored parts pack!

Example: The gap at the very front! Is the usage of smooothybooothy curveydurvy yummiebummie slope pieces put in your working contracts? Do the set constructors get fired when they don't have a third of the sets volume made up by a 10th of the sets parts? Why not using simple, classic, beautiful slopes instead? Would it be that hard? Are todays kinds really dumb enough to not be able to stack several slopes next to each other? Maybe, yes maybe the SW license should get off from System and start colaborating with Duplo? At least the anticipated intelligence of the themes consumers would fit together then!

Honestly, please give us some WELL constructed sets in the future, and not Jack Stone leftover collections like this! Or at least put some "4+"-stamps on the boxes so we don't need to care for this sets anymore!

A disappointed consumer.

PS: Is it possible that nowadays every second post of mine is about grumbling about TLC???

What business is that of TLC, if I want to put my bricks onto one big pile I'll do it anyway! :-|

Colors do not fade unless you are a hard player :-D
