Well, instead of using the Anvil hardware store topic I decided to launch a fresh one that now everything Port Belair can go here.

So any suggestions, etc., can go in this topic instead......so keep watching ! :classic:

Zounds! Horseless carriages in Avalonia... what is this world coming to?

This is the start of a nice town, lightningtiger! I really like your anvil hardware store, though I have not commented on the other thread. I think the anvil sign is pretty neat. I do not build in the town theme, so I do not have any real tips for improvement, other than the grass strip under the gas price sign seems a little bare.

Just do not let this show up as a free-build for GoH :classic: .

What kind of town/city, do you intent to build? A low rise town or high rise city?

You wrote in the Anvil thread that Port Belair has been a harbour for centuries. What about some hints to the harbour/maritime life?

Low rise mostly, though wide to take in a wharf, marina, more town structures.......not sure if I MOC everything or fuse in the harbour and marina sets from a few years back ?

Your third question 'Iaka' I think I just answered with the wharf and marina........Oh, it just hit me......coast guard, how could I forget coast guard......gee, this one is going to be a biggie !

As usual keep watching !

Sounds great. Eventually, you can MOD the marina and harbour sets, if you don't have any MOC-projects on your mind. I'll keep watching as long as you keep updating

Tomorrow I hope to have up something different......a beauty salon and coffee shop in one.......I must get the parts arranged tomorrow, thank goodness I earned some cash today.

Any suggestions for a coastal town......?

Different kinds of harbours? Beach, lighthouse? Some shops related to maritime activities? - Hmmm... How much is left from the historical Port Belair?

EDIT: A beachhotel?

Ah, yes there will be some marine stuff coming.........an interesting train station is being planned after my next build.....the beauty salon plus coffee shop........hopefully I can start that soon.....personal/family reasons why it hasn't started yet.

Keep watching !

To break up the long row of glass facades, you could put a white art deco building. I think it would still fit the streetscape. - I think you made the one, I have on my mind, but so far, I haven't found it.

Great street. I like the addition of the beauty salon and coffee shop. All the shops look very comfortable together.

Is that planter in the foreground a wheel piece? Looks great.

Thanks '3BF', that is a technic part commonly used to make engines for SW sets, etc., I discovered the other use for them by chance.

I'm not planning to build anything new for PB until next week the earliest.......but I have been known to change my mind !

Hmmm, I need an ice creamery for the beach going families to visit......keep watching !

Your towns are always cute, detailed, and still fit the CITY look.

Keep it up! :classic:

Thanks 'CityBuilder', though I never thought of my towns as being cute......but it is Lego so yeah......cute.

PB is still on hold, while final touches are being made to NM for this weekend's display at TC.

Keep watching !

This looks very clean and well built. It packs in lots of little features, but still manages to have a very simple look which I really like. I think it would be cool to see a small harbor town fire stations, something small, with two stories housing a single pumper truck. I also really like the idea of the train station!
