danimarroquin Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) hello everyone just wanted to share what I have being working on my past 2 years . my international airport is trying to get closed to the reality as much as I can . I'm trying to revolutionize aviation in lego and show that we can make more real planes that are closed to the real thing . I hope you guys enjoy the work and dedication that I left on this project . But its not over yet , I still have plans to make things better and work on my cargo terminal , fuel tanks , police hangar , taxi ways number , a police C130 , A321 and a arctic DC3 and hopefully we can get some lighting on the runway . http://s26.photobuck...729151.jpg.htm I still have issues to upload my pics so hope this works http://s26.photobuck...0fdb68.jpg.html http://s26.photobuck...ddf375.jpg.html Edited October 7, 2014 by Rick Embedded images. technic70s Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Thats really good, I love it. The air bridges and the landing markings are fantastic. Quote
Man with a hat Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 That's a big airport. Nice work. Alll those different types of aircraft are looking really nice. I have had some ideas of making my own airport but just got scared of the amount of tiles needed. Quote
mapimi Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 That's a nice creation, like your models of the A320, 737 and Q400, especially the covering up of the windows for the A320, the part does look 320-like without the top and bottom window screens. Nice airport as well, all those tile parts, it's beautiful! The boarding bridges are great, does the terminal have an interior? would be nice to see as well. Anyway, great airport! Congrats Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Excellent designing there 'danimarroquin', any interiors ? I like the runway, but that is a lot of tiles there......$$$$.......Brick On 'danimarroquin' ! Quote

Thanks you , luckily pick a brick that year had both tyles on display , so I'm glad I was able to do it like that . Yes the terminal is a 3 floors modular terminal building and has a lot of details inside . Pics will be up loaded soon ! Congrats Thank you so much , yes I was trying to get vas closed as possible to the real thing , including trying to create dihedral to the wings of the 320 , Artic 319 and the cargo A430F . I also , added a angle of 20 degrees to the front windows at the terminal ! Edited October 7, 2014 by danimarroquin Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Well done, this is very impressive. Details such the boarding bridges are very good. Particularly like the smaller aircraft (those parked at terminal). Runway is very large, not easy to accommodate no doubt. Quote
danimarroquin Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 I also created the tow bear and a push truck with a tow bar , to be able to hook the planes from the wheels . Wish Lego would make more planes and create a door for the small ones Quote
skobabe8 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Personally for me, this is one of the best things I've ever seen on this site. I love detailed and true to life airports. I am trying to do this myself and believe me, I know how difficult it is just because of the amount of space and pieces it takes. So impressive. Quote
fhomess Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Tremendous! Now you just need to build another airport for them to fly to. Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Looks great! I really like the variety of aircraft, particularly the A319, 737, and A340. Is the red and white plane supposed to be an A330? Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Awesome build, I love high detailed airports. It's great to see one built to the large plane scale of today Quote
danimarroquin Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) Looks great! I really like the variety of aircraft, particularly the A319, 737, and A340. Is the red and white plane supposed to be an A330? If notice in the hangar , I also modify the fire plane in to a P 3 orion fire thank , with the same abilities to shut fires off . On the next row of pics I'll take it out of the hangar . I usually have there the projects I'm working on Yes the red one is like a A330-200 . Made w a really nice executive seats and economy section inside . Yes the red one is like a A330-200 . Made w a really nice executive seats and economy section inside . jimmynick Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 The buildings you have are pretty small but the details are great, and I love the tiled runway! It allows a certain verisimilitude. Quote
Steph 104th Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Wonderful layout! The runway is great. Quote
