DARKspawn Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Whatever happened to the old Martians? They have been spending time in the Pyramid of Mars upgrading their Mecha & changing their colour scheme. Armed with new experimental trans lime weaponry, these little guys are ready to reek havok on their trans clear cousins... Credit to Moko for the T-Bar Joint design (Pic is BS link) :-) Quote
Asuka Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Very nice, with a good cockpit design. *y* It really looks very aggressive, and, well, very green too.... hmm 8-| , nah, no more comment! :-P Quote
john cleese Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 well designed but its the wrong color scheme, more like the one the said jellybean bretheren would use on their vehicles. Quote

Well he does say in the first post "changing their color scheme" ;-) I really like this DarkSPAWN, and it has nothing to do with Green being my favorite color :-P It's very well designed, and looks like it could take a hit or two. Maybe some more in the cockpit would be nice, but overall I like it a lot Quote
john cleese Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 dont you wink at me yoda! just kidding. No i just meant that i could easily see a minifig of the gelatine variety in that cockpit. Quote

DARKspawn Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Thanks for the comments guys :-D In regards to the colour, all martian vehicles are really green to start with. Martininium Ore is actually green in its processed state. They are then usually painted sand blue & blue. However the old skool Martians didn't have time to paint their hardware.... Before they could, those strange, transclear, unposable NEW martians showed up & started to give them grief. The fact is, the Old Skool Martians & the Space guys used to get along quite fine. But these transclear martian morons are ruining their cred! To arms, fellow Martians! To arms! Quote
iamded Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 (edited) Nice job! Great design, very green... the cannon looks quite intimidating. I loved the old Martians, although the Martian base didn't look great with the hangars empty... Anyway, great cockpit, and overall very nice. Looks like it has great articulation. *y* *y* Wait, where did you get those green 1x1 canisters? I had to mutilate my plant pieces to get those... :-( Edited June 22, 2007 by iamded Quote

DARKspawn Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Wait, where did you get those green 1x1 canisters? I had to mutilate my plant pieces to get those... :-( From Bricklink, I got them a while ago for a castle project, I'm not sure what sets they appear in though Quote
iamded Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 But with all those cool vehicles docked on.... just marvelous! *y* Unfortunately I was 7 or 8 when these sets were out (in 2000?) and I didn't realise the red and blue hangers were for the red and blue mechs. I don't see how I missed that... X-D Quote

Is it because they are genetic defects, or is it something far, far more sinister? Quote
iamded Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 The plot thickens... DUN DUN DUUUN. I think making a new mold for the aliens was a bad idea. If you do, at least make it an improvement. But no, they make them less posable. I don't get that. I reckon trans-green LoM aliens would have looked way better. Quote
