ttr1.jpg On his Brickshelf gallery, nuno2500 posted 6 pictures of his Lego Technic "Thin Racer" Power Functions chassis that uses "NO bricks or beams". It is held together by Lego Technic Axles, Connectors, and the various Power Functions elements. It's got return-to-center steering (using the x928cx1 "Technic, Axle Connector Rectangular Triple Spring-Loaded" part), independent suspension, and two Power Functions (PF) Medium motors.

Since it is relatively light, it could be quite nimble, but do you think it would hold up in a Truck Trial? :look:

Don't think it would work on a truck trial, but I definitely think it will go really fast!

BTW: it looks a bit like my little old Dune Duster which I entered in the LowLug Wacky race of 2010...

Why won't it fit into the truck trials?

There's usually this one requirement: suspension of any kind.

Just a thought.

"NO bricks or beams"

Is it just me, or are two 2x2 round bricks used as base for the headlights?

nice, i like the skeletal looking chassis, looks like a space frame buggy similar to the ones used on hillclimbs in the USA,

another thought re truck trial though.... it's not all wheel drive

I still think this or a similar buggy would make an interesting competitor in a truck trial, it wouldn't be too tricky to suspend it either...

Thanks for you comments.

It was not made for trial.

It isn´t strong enough and has no 4x4 or suspention. The idea is to race in my LUG event next July: www.arteempecas.com

No, your eyes are ok. I wasn´t counting those details, only the chassis and structure.

Best regards, Nuno.

I think I heard somewhere that some truck trial races require the trucks to weigh over 1 or 2 kgs. I it's right, If guess those chassis are too light

When I look at the last picture of the first post, I say ouch for the 1x6 links! :look:

Also, why don't you use a new style 28t differential for the rear axle instead of and old-styled one?

Nice MOC at all!
