Criteria for opening a LEGO store

I went to the LEGO store in Birmingham yesterday, and what I can't understand is why Birmingham has one, but not Memphis.
  2. That could actually work better, though I might be worried that the invisible man might not be public domain. Dancing Robot Torso: PearlGold, Suit Pattern Legs: PearlGold with black shoes at feet Face: black outlines of mouth and sunglasses. hair outlined too. Headpiece: Fedora, PearlGold. Accessories: If they had accessories, they wouldn't be street performers. 1 x 2 brick with dollar bill pattern
  3. Would trans-glow-in-the-dark work for force Ghosts? It looks like a different kind of plastic than the other transparent colors. Though I don't know that, just sort of looks like it.
  4. That's going to make the Fantastic Four playset just a little less cool, not gonna lie.

    Missing parts

Correction: They'll send you another Minifig from the same series, whether it's the incomplete one or not is up to chance. I should know, my Cavewoman had an incomplete hair piece and when they sent another one, it was Detective I got. They were really good about it, though. I ended up just going to bricklink to get the missing element.
  6. Kappa Torso: BtGreen or Green, printed with plastron on front Legs: printed, scales Face: yellow beak on BtGreen or Green, evil looking eyes and eyebrows Headpiece: a bowl for its head, MdBlue on inside, Dk Green on grassy part, rest same color as body. Accessories: Carapace, Dark Green and tail, same green as body. Cucumber And if I look to the top of the page, someone has made that suggestion. dorp. Masked Hero Torso: Some kind of colored armor. Should be primary body color, secondary body color, and gold as decoration. Hands should be of the secondary color. Legs: printed with some two tone color Face: doesn't really matter, can't see it Headpiece: Helmet with visor slot. Also black visor to put into it. Accessories: Belt. fits over the waist slot and under the body. Notes: Should come in 6 different colors, otherwise it's not a proper sentai team. Stilted Clown Torso: similar to existing clowns Legs: Long legs, mismatched, patched Face: White head with red make up and red nose Headpiece: Similar to Beethoven's hair, but in a funner color like blue. Alternatively? Rainbow marbled afro wig. Accessories: Big shoes, work like ice skates. Red. Bowling Pins (x 3) Invisible Man Torso: no markings, trans-clear Legs: no markings, trans-clear Face: standard grin. It's teeth are white. what can you do? Headpiece: transparent hair of some sort. maybe that really old standby clean cut hair piece? Accessories: Potion, Bunsen burner (it would have some kind of wire looking piece that connects to a stud above it, allowing you to fit the potion on it) Notes: Sort of in the same vein as those other old movie minifigs. Colossus of Rhodes Torso: Totally ripped, pearldkgold Legs: no markings, pearldkgold. face: as close to the actual colossus as possible while being in line with the other minifigs, PearlDkGold Headpiece: A similar rubbery hairpiece to Liberty's. Maybe even the same one. PearlDkGold Accessories: goblet, Longbow, both pearldkgold.

Misprints and Other LEGO Production Oddities

I got this out of a series five booster back in December. I was so glad that I'd found a cavewoman, and I was not only sure of it, I was right. Then I got to my car and opened it and found this... interesting hair piece. The sad thing is, it isn't actually usable. If the antistud were fully formed it'd make a nice hair piece in its own right, but it's not. Correcting this error took forever, you've no idea. They tried sending me another booster, but it was Detective instead of Cavewoman. So then they decided they'd just give me a five dollar whatever, and I could find it on Bricklink. I've also gotten a Ben 10 tail from a Jetray set that's axle was twisted off by a machine, apparently. I have no idea what colors these sets used, so I'm not sure what color it was. More recently, my brother's LEGO Challenge game came with a bunch of defective 2 x 16 plates. You could try to put them together like the instructions said, but invariably, they'd end up pointed upwards. One of these days I'd like to get a useful error piece.

    Lego 8487 Disney's CARS Flo's V8 CAFE Review

Say, what's the color that Flo and Fillmore are? I'm really digging the color, but they're the only bricks I have in that color.
  9. I'm willing to bet people could make the assumption that yellow = Caucasian without licensed sets. You could have Red or Pink and Medium Blue minifigs too, and then you'd just assume yellow is another LEGO people color and doesn't really represent a real world race. Oh, incidentally and somewhat on and off topic, I rather liked the Army Men set from Toy Story, and on review, it doesn't seem like any company owns the rights to the little plastic army men toys I bought in buckets as a kid. So, Tan, Sand Blue, and, maybe, Pearl Gray factions of army people would be awesome. Might even be a way to make war themed sets without being really violent about it. Sure, it looks like a Mitsubishi Zero, but it's clearly completely tan. There's no way that's a bad guy. Otherwise, they could just sell the minifigs and accessories and those cool bases.
  10. Honestly? There needs to be a lot more racial diversity in the minifigs. I love Bright Yellow as much as the next guy, but really, I'd like to have some African Minifigs that weren't from licensed sets. Especially in the Collectible Minifig sets. I imagine the yellow's supposed to be sort of race neutral, but maybe there should be a wider range of colors, not even necessarily fleshtones. Gender: Male Occupation: Hipster Type of Headgear: Ponytail Type of Facial Expression: semi-frown, with goatee and stubble. Color: Body has an ironic expression on it. He says he got it for a dollar, but it's really 35 bucks. His leg pieces have a blue print, but they have holes and are acid washed. Accessory: Backpack, laptop. He steals Wifi from cafes where he doesn't usually buy anything.
