I'm in need of the more recent versions of LEGO dinosaurs, however they're very expensive and some of them are hard to come by for prices that are even remotely reasonable to me.
A T-Rex, 40 euros each (out of three variants, excluding the Indominus Rex which I don't need), a singular Triceratops, 40 euros so much the same, and all of the raptors going for between 10 and 20 euros each. I never thought I'd come this close to going for bootleg stuff instead of real LEGO, but the prices of the official ones are, simply put, too high, so I'm going to have to.
I've also considered just building dinosaurs, and I might still take that into consideration (since the current range of dinosaurs still doesn't cover many species),
but until I know how much the pieces for that will cost me and if they (brickbuilt ones) would be functional for MOCs and photography, as well as stopmotion animation, I'll have to consider the special molded ones.
My question now is - do any of you have these bootleg dinosaurs (from "Lele", for example), and would you consider them to be worth it? How do they compare next to the official dinosaurs?
Have you encountered any quality-related issues, such as breaking or discolouring of parts, or limb joints being too loose? Let me know, perhaps with pictures or videos. It would be of great help!
