  1. This is a build based off of the Indiana Jones game produced by Machine Games. I really adored this game, so I did a spiritual recreation of a temple in Sukhothai. I adored that hub of the game, and the inspiration came from the wooden levers and the fun colors of the temples in that area. I would highly recommend the game to any Indy fan. I made this a few months back - so it is my least favorite of the trio - but I thought it was still timely enough to be tossed into this post. If you look closely, you can see that I really tried to get some red light shining through the door to emulate some of that Spielberg lighting haha. This build is pretty clearly based off of The Last Crusade. This was conceived right after my first build, with the intention of it being a psuedo-Studios build as well. I had a Steven Spielberg fig and a lot of stage-hands. I wanted to highlight the scene but also the craft behind it. Then I moved and the passion for that element kind of faded. When I came back to it this week, I really focused on the scene itself and creating a fun footprint. I felt like I got there too - this was a stressful build for me because the first rendition was in dark tan and nougat. When I got some feedback, it seemed that reddish brown and dark brown were the move. So I built two versions of the same build - then made a choice. I'm very happy with this build! My absolute favorite of the trio is a rendition of Cairo that I finished just a few hours ago. I got the garden fountain set in February and it sat in my closet until the itch to make Cairo came to me. I opened the set and immediately grabbed the printed tiles, working with all of these colors is new to me admittedly - so doing that as well as truly just experimenting with my parts today was so fun. There are upgrades to the figs that have come in the past, and I think it captures the whimsy and vibrancy to a degree that makes me want to keep experimenting with lots of colors. The base was the hardest part as I was convinced that I should do something similar to Venice, but then the builds were about two bricks off of the ground. It didn't make much sense. The build is hinged on a jumper plate, and the chest covers the awkward middle gap.
