It's just your sister visiting. Why all the fuss? « » Sorry, I can't help it, Lieutenant Partt. As we were patrolling the Rim, I haven't seen Zebby for nearly 6 months. I'm just sooo excited to see her again! She's my hero! « » I know, I know. You told me the story. Big sister. Legendary pilot. Leader of Aurora Squadron. The reason why you joined. She blew-up the Death Star too, right? Skoal! « » Ha-ha. But she did participate in the battle above Endor. She is truly one of the best. That's why they made her member of the Spittin' Chicklets! « » The what? « » C'mon. The Chicklets? The elite aerobatic squadron of the Republic! They performed that stunnin' maneuvre at the anniversary celebrations. Haven't you seen the holo? Ah, I wish I could have been there. « » No I haven't. Any pilot could fly these formations. It's the Astromechs doing all the calc. Plain and simple. It's combat, where true talent shows. « » Ah that's why you been hit by that Snub-Fighter? Twice. Weren't it for me, you'd be hovering somewhere between Daimla and Terminus. And by the way, the Spittin Chicklets fly Z-95s. No Astromech. « » Look I had an inertial stabilzer malfunction and - « » Oh, here she comes! « » Zebby! « Lil' Sis' Biz! So glad to see you, honey! « » What? She is your sister? Oh by the seven moons, no! « » Sorry? Do I know you? « » He's my wingman. Get to know Lieutenant Partt. « » Hrmpf. Oh yea, we know each other. « » Ah yes, backup crew for Endor, right? « » Backup crew... You cost me the cockpit! « » Indeed, My fighter had issues and they gave me yours. Sorry. I owe you. « » I should be wearing a medal! Instead I'm the backup crew. « » Poor Partt... « » What a joker. I came here 'cause the Republic command reactivated the Aurora Squadron! The throne room of Mount Tantiss, Imperial treasure world Wayland. » My emperor, Baron Ezhugh Vonreg, as you ordered! « » Good. Your service is no longer required, Commander. Leave us alone. « » Your Highness. It’s an honor for me and my family to be at your service. « » Yes, your family indeed serves the Empire well, baron. « » Forgive my boldness, but why am I here? And where is here? « » You will learn your fate very soon, my friend. And now rise and come with me. « The emperor leads baron Vonreg around his exhibition of rare and precious artifacts and relics from each and every corner of his Empire… » Is that… the Ring of Xerbia? « » Yes… a fine relic that has been recently brought into my custody. And there is more to come. « Finally, they remain at the large holo table in the center of the throne room. » There is a myriad of worlds that crave for our lead, baron. They are lost and need order. « » No doubt, your highness, but where can I help? « » You are a collector of art yourself, baron. And you have enriched yourself in the glorious campaigns, where your Vonreg cousins and nephews were in duty of my forces. Don’t deny it! « » I … Forgive me my lord. What is mine is yours. And I accept any sentence. « » Indeed. My curator will visit your home world soon to … register your collection. « » I can’t await his visit. My lord, if you were not going to punish me…, why would you summon me here? « » Why, to recruit you, of course… It is one of the empire’s missions to save precious artifacts from the barbarians and you, my friend, will lead the way… « to next chapter >> ***** Hello there and welcome to the first chapter of Raiders of the Lost Art - A Star Wars Mysteries Story. Late evening, somewhere near the old Coronet spaceport on Corellia… »He in there? « »He was easy to track down... Listen, in general I trust your instincts, Len’ya, but in this case… he doesn’t look very legendary to me. « »Art Bolt is one of the most prolific agents the Alliance had. He worked undercover for years. He for instance once provided the alliance a full squadron of X-Wings while pretending he was an imperial Colonel! We’ll need him. Would you go and get him? « Moments later… »Hey! Get your hands of me! I paid for that! « »Arthemias Bolt… good to meet you again. « » Le – Len’ya?! But…You are dead! « » Ah, the best compliment for a spy, ain’t it? But you are right. I was dead. … Bolt, the New Republic needs you. « » Nah thanks, I’m retired. « » You are drunk. And for people like us there is no retirement. Come with me. I have a job for you. « » What kind of job is it anyway? « » Retrieving Imperial Plunder. « »I pass. That’s not worth the effort, isn't it? Burning intelligence resources for some lost art? « » How about unmasking Ezhugh Vonreg then? « Arthemias Bolt is suddenly wide awake... » Vonreg? Second thought, I’m in. « » Hold on. Why the change of heart, old fossil? « » The old fossil has his reasons. I mean, you know Vonreg, right? He was an Imperial supporter until the very end. And when tides turned and the Empire shattered, he lamented that the emperor mind-controlled him and threatened his family. And how about them alliance politicians? They embraced his return because he offered extensive financial support for the new Republic. But I don’t buy it. For me, there are two types of former Imperials: The ones who defected after Alderaan and the ones who defected after Endor. The latter are not to be trusted. « » ... Quite the talker, huh? « » Len’ya, where did you get your 'friendly' Falleen bodyguard? Another asset of yours? « »Xher is a talented field agent. She works for my network since years. Eventually, she was an assassin for the Black Sun before I recruited her. « »Oh snap. I forgot. There is another type of people I distrust… « »And we don’t need to carry dead weight on our mission… « »Enough of that. I would trust Xher with my life. And we need Bolt to support against Vonreg. So let’s get to the ship. We have still some recruiting and gathering intel to do... « to next chapter >> *****

Now what do you have for me? « » You have received an invitation to the gala dinner, master! « » Finally! I've never seen her here. « The mysterious hooded figure has a clear destination... ...the abandoned industrial levels, deep down, under kilometers of concrete and transparisteel, where he or she is already impatiently awaited... »Baron Vonreg. Is it you? I was afraid you weren't coming. Coruscant isn't safe anymore. Especially not for the emperor’s faithful. « »Indeed. I heard that Isard is tired of the Grand Vizier and the group of lickspits the imperial council always was. « »Rude, but true. She has put the grand vizier under house arrest. The two are playing a game of Holo-chess and we are the pawns. « »You can imagine, I assumed a big risk to come here, curator Kuenaga. This time, you better have something of value for me. « » Hrmpf. Sooner or later, she will kill us! « »I understand your impatience but that won't be easy, curator. The ISB has its agents everywhere. « »But you... you managed to come here. Despite being wanted for treason. Why would they let you pass, unless... you are part of the ISB?! « »Calm yourself, Kuenaga. I'm no friend of Isard and her band of spies. While Xher is steering the modified YV-560 courier, Bolt and Len'ya discuss the next steps… » Len'ya, why are we heading to Aetwelt? If you want my full support, you need to induct me into your plans. « » I will soon. The task to recover the imperial plunder gets more difficult. First, we need to recruit another team member. A pickpocket. « » We have already an assassin and now we're getting a thief!? « » Remember, the Rebellion was once saved by farmboys, pirates and scoundrels. « » Alright, alright. Who's that pickpocket we got to pick-up? « » The best. And I hope we find him in Shag City. By the way, Xher told you her story, didn't she? What do you think? « » She wants Vonregs head. But there is more to it. I feel it. Vonreg took the ring of Nurbia, but where is it now? « » That my dear, is the question... « After a long flight, the Cloudrunner arrives at Aetwelt. The lush world features many extraordinary sites, such as the 16-thousenders - a supermassive mountain massif - or the gigantic river Tajkal originating there. Where the Tajkal flows into an ocean, there spreads a vast marshland with mangrove forrests as far as the eye can reach. It is inhabited by pirates, slavers and swampers, who harvest so-called swamp pralines, an important ingredient for special type of spice. » Land a little bit outside in the marshes there. This sector is still under control of the Imperial Remnant and we don't want to attract their attention. « » Land a little bit outside...pff! We are marching for two hours now and still 'bout three to go. The Squitos gonna kill us - if we not slip into a Greytors jaws first! « » Look, there is one of the swampers. The premise for this vignette and Len'yas encounter with Dengar was that it should be in some kind of rustic tavern with a fish tank, inspired by the Saloon from the Jedi Survivor video game. Is the Alliance still advancing?« » You heard about Valor, right?« » Oh I did. Was a big blow. Any news on who dunnit?« » Could have been any remnant Warlord or independent mobster, sending a message. What matters is, that the New Rebublic lost essential assets that day. We still may have better morale and stand united but the reality is, the ISB never ceased to exist. And they're regrouping. Just read this. « Bolt reading from a pad... » Hrmpf. I'll gladly show 'em one of those camps on Kashyyyk, Narkina or Clonedyke. Give 'em an inside tour. This is wrong on so many levels. Where you got this?« » It is a transcript of a remnant town hall. Got it via the network. The important thing is, that there are Imperials who do everything to undermine the Republic efforts for freedom and peace. We are fighting on many fronts. There is the sighting of a Sith lord on Dagro. There are rumors of a dangerous remnant Quarren Moff. And then there is people like Vonreg. « » But we have Jedi Skywalker, don't we? He blew up the Death Star. Twice. « » I think you got it wrong, but even if it were so, he is only one man and there is a myriad of worlds on fire. We must - « Suddenly, the hatch bell rings. They are coming for me! It's the Ban-Krieva-Gang! I've been smuggling for their boss and she thinks I still owe her some money. But I strongly disagree! « » Hrmpf. Seems like she lost her patience with you. If we make it, I expect compensation from your boss for this incident! « » Listen, I'm really sorry for this, but no worries. This baby has still some surprises left in her! « Aves manages to outdistance the biker gang and besides some scratches on his beloved tandem, he deploys Len'ya safely to his meeting at the docks... » Mr. Karrde. « » Mr. Len'ya. After we settled on this, what can a ragged smuggler like I do for you? « » You are too humble, Karrde. Jabba the Hutt's businesses were up for grabs and rumors say, an unknown organisation is taking over. I was maybe thinking you... « » Haha, that's good! I'm not interested in a remote desert palace and a treacherous entournage! Bib Fortuna, is the master of Tatooine now and he's already emulating Jabbas appetite, I heard. « » Jabbas power structure was based on more than a palace and his obesity. We both know that. Anyway. Do you have, what I asked you for? « » Hm. First of all, I don't want to get roped into this war, Len'ya. I'm neutral. What you want, could affect my business in the Imperial sectors, if it comes out. « » The Empire is no more, Karrde. You soon will be dealing with a bunch of bandits pretending to be the empire's last stand, while they squeeze the life out of the worlds they occupy. The sooner they fall, the better. We both expected a deal. It's simple. You have the information and the Republic pays you well. « » Maybe. Still, I have a reputation to lose. And I don't trust you. 11. L3-37: Congratulations, you're liberated. Scoot. ... I don't know. Free your brothers or sisters or something. Unbeknownst to her, L3's words would have repercussions 15 years later. Some of the droids inspired by her act in "liberating" them escaped Kessel and have carried on a quiet rebellion across the galaxy. Until know their rebellion has been quite, simple acts like poisoning the drinks of their masters or tempering with the repulsers on a speeder. But something has changed and now beings on planets everywhere are facing open rebellion by droids of all types! Dark Side Our facilities on Rasterous have reported droid trouble. We can't afford to have any delays with their shipment of supplies with the Rebels trying to exploit any perceived weakness. Find and deactivate those droids at once! Mercenaries What's that pounding on the door? Oh, it's a droid wanting equal pay or it's weight in gold? Blast it for me will you? Light Side A droid has taken hostages on Thustra? And another has disabled our X-wings on Tierfon? We have enough to worry about with the Empire still trying to destroy us. Quick, send some ships to deal with the problem before it gets out of hand! Your efforts are futile. We will have our revenge on the lifeforms! Contest Specifics: No gimmicks, just double points! Each person can build in each category up to 2 times for a total of 8 entries maximum. Entries will receive a score based on the sector entered for the contest. If you submit an entry for R10 your points will be placed in R10. Cat A: Show what kind of ship the errant droids stole from Kessel. Was it a fighter, a freighter, or something else? Did they land it successfully or did it crash? No need to build an entire ship, you can build a partial one and show it crashed on a planet's surface. Just make sure you pick a planet in the sector you're building in. There's great opportunity for Storytelling points here. Cat B: Show a droid liberating another droid(s). Is it a protocol droid removing the restraining bolt from an R2 unit? Or is in an R5 unit communicating code with a binary lifter? Cat C: Not every droid is convinced that freedom is what it wants. Show what happens when a droid rejects the idea of rebellion. Is it tortured by the other droid(s)? Or does it convince the rebellious droid that it's acts of violence are illogical? Cat D: Repercussions! Show want happens when a droid goes rogue. Is the pool filled with hyperdrive coolant instead of water? Are the pets set free? Is the owner murdered in his sleep? The Rules: All entries must be entered using this form: Link to Submission Form All rules in the Core Rules topic apply unless otherwise stated in this explanation or the rules above. There are no restrictions on the size/form/content of the builds other than the specifics described above. Each person can enter up-to 8 MOCs for this contest, 2 for each category. All entries will earn XP for their team based on their score. Winners will earn additional XP. The Episode will run from Apr 13th to May 27th. As long as it is still May 27th somewhere in the world, you can still enter. Entries posted after the deadline will be disqualified from the episode and will only earn normal XP points. The criteria by which your MOCs will be scored is 1) Storytelling, 2) Aesthetics, and 3) Technical Ability. You can earn up to 10 points in each category for a max total of 30 points per entry. This episode/contest is open to all players of Mysteries, even if they joined EB or signed up for the game after the episode has begun. All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to the start date of this episode. You can use creations for this contest in other forums or contests, but it should not have been displayed before the start date for this contest. All entries must be built from real LEGO or with Lego Digital Designer. 3rd party parts may be allowed if used to customize characters and in small quantities. I.E. guns or decals. 3rd party bricks are not allowed to be intentionally used (if you have a Megablock 2x2 brick in a wall of Lego bricks you won't be penalized). You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects on one picture. All your other pictures may have no editing other than color adjustment or background removal for a solid-color background. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited,. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. The Prizes: The team with the most points pre-bonuses will get an extra 10 XP in the sector of their choice. The team with the 2nd most will get an extra 5 XP.

That’s why he needs a team leader who actually cares. « » Huh … so you are the legendary spy, Arthemias Bolt. « » Fossil will do. Anyway I’m getting too old for these missions. So how about you? Let’s start with this one: Why you always make that face? « » … « » Yeah, that one. « » … « » Much better. « » Ok, my story... I grew up in a small village near the Temple of Nurbia on a remote, independent world in the Mandalore sector. One day, the Empire came and raided the temple. My mother was the guardian primus and as the sanctuary was under siege, she had to make a difficult decision... « » Xher, these men are brutal and unforgiving. We guardians have sworn to defend Nurbias crypt and her ring with our lives. But you daughter, you have not taken the vow. You can live! There is the slit behind the sarcophagus. It will lead you to safety. « » But mum… « » Go! We will see each other in afterlife! « » They waited for the intruders and they soon came. « » My mother fought bravely, but was eventually struck down. « » Then in came their leader. « » Vonreg… « » I still remember his face, when he killed my defenseless mother on the ground. I still remember how he took the ring of Nurbia (* check out its twin here). I still remember how he ordered to plunder the sanctuary, before they burned everything down. « » I couldn’t run away. I turned, left my hideout and tried to strike him down. But a stormtrooper hindered me. « » Brave, but foolish. You there trooper! You will deal with this little brat outside! « » The stormtrooper took me outside of the temple but she couldn’t pull the trigger. She told me I should run and never come back. And that’s what I did. But I never forget and I never forgive! « » Len’ya knows about your vendetta…That’s why he recruited you, heh? Dank Farrik! He wants to use your anger… and if I’m not wrong, that ring you mentioned… there is more to it, isn’t it? « » Len’ya promised me that we will stop Vonreg and return the ring where it belongs. « » Ugh, what a story! That’s the best I heard for a long time. I’ve spoken. « » Bloody hell?! Who’s that? « » Rietta. Our Quartermaster. She’s ok. « » Any other crew members I need to know?! « to next chapter >> ******** Hey there! So now you know a little bit more about the Falleen assassin Xher. I hope you enjoyed the story and sorry if the entries get too long! I placed the build in the Mandalore sector O7, even though it's a flashback and the narrator is sitting in M11. Hope that it's ok. The town is built into a massive boulder in the midst of the swamp. Shag City has an infamous slave market and is a true melting pot. It used to belong to the Hutts, but since some years it is under control of the Imperials. Here, Len'ya and his crew want to recruit a thief... » Ah Shag City. Aetwelts beating, black heart! I have a special appointment elswhere in the city. The three of you find the thief and recruit him. « » How predictable. « » The two of you will do. I go fetch some supplies. This is a good market for unique components... « »How can we find a thief in this crowd. Len'ya didn't even mention his species. « »Patience and sharp eyes will help - Or a bait. « » A bait? « »If he is a pro he uses a scanner that detects the value of credits in one's wallet. I have an emitter in my pocket that will trick the pickpockets' scanner so that he thinks I'm the biggest game around. « While Xher and Bolt are looking for a thief to recruit, they register some commotion on the street. »Down on the ground, rebel scum! « »Granpa! « » Gnhnn! « »I need to do something! « »Xher, no! This is not our mission! Oh too late... « »Hey buckethead! Stop that! « » Back off citizen, or you're the next face down in the dust! « » Troopers! Disengage immediately! You two are triggerin' my migrane. Listen: Next time you arrest one of my agents, I'll assign you to the mounted troopers. You gonna be cleaning stables for the rest of your life! Is that getting to your laser-brain? « »Sir! Yes, Sir! « » Okay agents let's retreat. We need to start all over again because of these two nerf herders... « But as they move, an officer enters the scene! » Imposter! Surrender or die! « » I really, really tried to avoid this... « to next chapter >> ********** Hello! So here it is: Shag City - capital of Aetwelt. What about our special asset? You arranged his transfer? « » Yes. Everything is planned. I will personally accompany curator Kuenaga from Coruscant to safety. « » Good. The transfer will be conducted during the Republic Gala. The Rebels will be honoring their heroes and the ISB will be distracted trying to sneak- in its agents. Get cover!!! « » ‘The hell is that? « » XR-45 ART - Anti-Riot-Tank. From the old republic days. They were actually decommissioned. Thanks to General Rox and his team everything turned out well in the end, didn't it? Thanks for allowing me to feature your sigfig here @Yperio_Bricks Here you find some additional images of the XR-45 ART Anti-Riot-Tank, also known as 'Assimilator'. Pun with the title of my story intended! The vehicle is the build to be scored in this entry as the street has been featured already in chapter 12. The ART is based on the XR-85 from legends continuity. I knew it only from the old 'Rogue Squadron 3D' video game, where they were pretty small - smaller than an AT-PT. In other media they are actually described as extremely large moving turrets, as @Yperio_Bricks pointed out to me! So I changed a little bit the focus during building and customized it to fit into the street fight scene and it became my creation, the XR-45. I introduced a driver for the tank, as it looked better, where the XR-85 is a droid tank. Hope you like it!
  17. After the destruction of the 2nd Death Star the major powers in the galaxy have been jostling to see who can fill the power vacuum. And after the bombing on Valor, each faction has need of new recruits to fill their ranks. That's where you come in! But before the leadership of each team are ready to entrust you with a mission they want to know your back story. Proving you are dedicated to the cause could greatly advance your team's advantage on the map! You can help The Light Side (sign up here), The Dark Side (sign up here), or The Mercenaries (sign up here). Here's where each team stands so far: Contest Specifics: There are 2 categories for this contest. Cat A: Build a 10x10 MOC that shows your character in their element. Are they a chef? Show them in a Star Wars-y kitchen. Are they a thug-for-hire? Show them guarding a hideout. Are they a pilot? Show them in a hanger. Winner gets 20 free points in a sector of their choice for their team. MOC must be 10x10, not 5x20 or 2x50. Cat B: Tell some of your character's backstory. You can use 1 MOC or many and there's no size restriction. Winner gets 30 free points in a sector of their choice for their team. The Rules: All entries must be entered using this form: Link to Submission Form All rules in the Core Rules topic apply unless otherwise stated in this explanation or the rules above. There are no restrictions on the size/form/content of the builds, as long as they follow the above described goals. Each person may only enter each category once. All entries will earn XP for their team based on their score. Winners will earn additional XP. The Episode will run from Nov 16th to Jan 15th. As long as it is still Jan 15th somewhere in the world, you can still enter. Entries posted after the deadline will be disqualified from the episode and will not be eligible to receive points. The Prizes: Highest scoring MOC in Cat A will win 20 free points for their team to be used anywhere on the map in one lump sum. Highest scoring MOC in Cat B will win 30 free points for their team to be used anywhere on the map in one lump sum. All points won must be assigned within 3 weeks of the contest's end.
  18. Since the destruction of the second Death Star the hyperspace lanes have been dangerous to travel. Imperial Star Destroyers stop all non-imperial traffic searching for rebels. Pirates are preying on freighters. And even the Alliance pilots have been known to be a little too quick on the trigger these days. No matter who you are right now it's best to have a well equipped ship or to travel in groups. And the best routes to take are the heavily trafficked hyperspace lanes. Dark Side This galaxy doesn't appreciate the peace and prosperity the Empire brought! Our ships are being attacked at every turn. We need to establish a base along the Corellian Run. Contact the Imperial academy on Arkanis. We'll send some of our forces there to ensure safe travel. Mercenaries There's ships a plenty out there that need our... protection. We should set up a check point on Etti IV to ensure we have access to the Hydian Way. Light Side Seems we can't go two clicks without running into a pirate or a Star Destroyer! We need to establish safe zones so we can get supplies to those in need. Gather the fleet and head to Terminus. We'll be able to secure both the Hydian Way and the Corellian Trade Spine there. Though, steer clear of the Shadowport. We may be able to recruit some good pilots there, but we don't want to get on the wrong side of the Smuggler's Guild. Contest Specifics: There are 3 categories for this contest. Cat A: Build a starship for your team. This can be anything from a single pilot fighter up to a freighter like the Millennium Falcon or the Ghost. It should be minifigure scale but the figs won't figure as part of your score. Background scenes are encouraged but not required. Cat B: Build a crew for a starship. Your crew should include at least 3 characters but can include as many as you want. You can have 1 pilot and some ground crew or a whole crew for a freighter or bomber. We'd love for you to build a crew that matches a ship built for Cat A, but it's not required. Background scenes are allowed but the emphasis should be on the figures. Cat C: Build a 100 stud long ship. This is especially for anyone want to build something for SHIPtember. It can be any ship as long as it's at least 100 studs in length. The Rules: All entries must be entered using this form: Link to Submission Form All rules in the Core Rules topic apply unless otherwise stated in this explanation or the rules above. There are no restrictions on the size/form/content of the builds other than the 100 stud requirement for Cat C. Please ensure each entry follows the above described goals. Entries for Cat C do not have to be finished by Sept 30th. If you're building for SHIPtember you'll want to meet that deadline. But for this contest you can submit at any point before the Oct 30th end date. Each person may only enter each category once. All entries will earn XP for their team based on their score. Winners will earn additional XP. The Episode will run from Aug 28th to Oct 30th. As long as it is still Oct 30th somewhere in the world, you can still enter. Entries posted after the deadline will be disqualified from the episode and will not be eligible to receive points. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. The Prizes: All entries will earn XP wherever it's placed entry (for example, N10 if a Dark Side player builds a ship and places it in that square). In addition, winners will earn extra XP in specific squares. Winners from The Dark Side will earn XP in R17. Winners from the Mercs will earn XP in S3. Winners from the Light Side will earn XP in K21. Highest scoring entry for Cat A will earn 25 XP in their team's specific square for this challenge. Highest scoring entry for Cat B will earn 20 XP in their team's specific square for this challenge. Highest scoring entry for Cat C will earn 40 XP in their team's specific square for this challenge.
  19. As each team race to control the asset in P10 they send a fleet of ships to secure their next forward base. But something happened to the hyperdrives! Now each team has a crew lost in space. They will need to use their wits and skills to get out of this mess. Dark Side Our ships are out there somewhere. Thank goodness the Imperial training manual has proper procedures for just such an occasion. As long as our troops keep a cool head and follow the guidelines all will be well. Mercenaries What!?! Did someone forget to refill the coolant on our hyperdrives? Once we get out of this mess someone is going to have hell to pay! Light Side Adrift in space you say? Well what else is new. After all we faced in rebellion against the Empire a little hyperdrive trouble shouldn't slow us down too much! Contest Specifics: Each team can build in any of the 3 categories. But they will need to work as a team to make sure their builds don't overlap. At least one build for each of the categories has to be entered before a second can be built in any of them. For example, the Light Side could build 1 entry for Cat A, 1 entry for Cat B, and 2 entries for Cat C. But they couldn't build 3 entries for Cat C and none for Cat A or Cat B. Another example, the Dark Side could build 1 entry for Cat A and 1 entry for Cat B and none for Cat C. The idea behind this rule is to foster teamwork and comradery. Cat A: Show what happened to the hyperdrive. Maybe your nav-computer had a malfunction and dropped you out of space too early. Maybe a Porg chewed through a critical wire. This scene should be set on a ship if applicable (think inside the Millennium Falcon) or in space if it's a small snub fighter. Cat B: You managed to land on a planet's surface. Show what the surface looks like and how you manage to set up a temporary base camp. Cat C: You are not alone! Pirates are in the area and have found you. Show either a scene in space or aboard your ship where you repel the pirates. Or show a scene on the planet's surface with a conflict between you and the pirates. Each team will pick a starting point from a square they already control. The Dark Side can pick from O17, L10, M10, or N10. The Light Side can pick from P6 or H16. The Mercs can pick from T10, S10 or K5. Each team should post here which square they want to pick as their starting point by Jan 15th. At the end of the challenge, using a random number generator, a route will be chosen and an end point 2 jumps from the starting square. Please consult the map for strategic reference. For example, if the Mercs choose K5 as their starting point it could be that the starting point would be Borosk and two jumps from there could be Qiilura in K7. Or if the Dark Side chose M10 as their starting point it could be that Kattada would be the starting point and two jumps from there could be Quellor in N12. You can depict any kind of planet. If it doesn't match your ending square we'll assume it's an uncharted one The Rules: All entries must be entered using this form: Link to Submission Form All rules in the Core Rules topic apply unless otherwise stated in this explanation or the rules above. There are no restrictions on the size/form/content of the builds other than the specifics described above. Each person can enter up-to 3 MOCs for this contest. It can be 1 in each Category or 3 in the same Category. Co-ordination between your fellow teammates is important to ensure the right amount of entries per category! All entries will earn XP for their team based on their score. Winners will earn additional XP. The Episode will run from Jan 5th to Mar 11th. As long as it is still Mar 11th somewhere in the world, you can still enter. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. The Prizes: At the end of the contest an end point will be chosen for each team. All MOCs entered for this contest will be assigned this square for XP. The team with the most points will gain an extra 25 XP to be placed where they choose. Second place will get 15 XP and 3rd place will get 10 XP. All extra XP should be placed within 2 weeks of the contest ending.
  20. The big race is about to begin! Today we have 4 racers! First up we have the Klystron Pulsar with its Speed 5, Attack 2 and Defense 5. (Due to winning first place in Cat A this racer gets a 50/50 chance to avoid obstacles). Next up is Maath's Racer with its Speed 5, Attack 3 and Defense 4. (Due to winning second place in Cat A this racer gets a 1/3rd chance to avoid obstacles). After that comes the Riot Racer with its Speed 5, Attack 2 and Defense 5. (Due to too many speed points this racer has been adjusted to have 2 Attack points). And last but not least is Reegor Thrar's pod with Yperio as its racer with its Speed 5, Attack 3 and Defense 4.
  21. When word hits the holonet that the grand prize of Coachelle Prime's Riot Race is a Hyperspace Star Chart the various factions throughout the galaxy put together their best racers to compete. Contest Specifics: There are 3 categories for this contest. Cat A: Build a Riot Racer and pilot. Assign a total of 12 points across the three categories of Attack, Defense, and Speed. No category can have more than 5 points assigned to it. Try to have your Riot Racer match the stats you give it. For example, if you put 5 in Attack, 4 in Speed, and 3 in Defense your Riot Racer should be sleek with lots of blaster canons. All racers will compete against each other. Various obstacles will be faced by all racers requiring Attack, Defense, or Speed stats to "beat." So chose your stats wisely. The race will consist of 24 "spaces" split into 3 laps of 8 spaces each. Each round your Racer will move the number of spaces corresponding to its speed stat. So if you have a Speed of 4, you'll move 4 spaces. During each round your racer will face an obstacle requiring Attack or Defense to overcome. If a whomp rat with defense of 3 gets in your way you'll have to shoot it. If your attack is 3 or higher you get to proceed as normal. But if your attack is 2 then you'll be penalized the difference between the 2 stats and the number of spaces you get to move will be decreased accordingly. If a Tusken with attack of 5 starts shooting and your defense is only 3 you'd be penalized 2 movement spaces. Before you face each obstacle a luck dice will be rolled. All players will have a 1/6th chance of avoiding the obstacle completely. The player that gets the 2nd highest score from the judges on their Riot Racer will get a 1/3rd chance of avoiding obstacles each roll. And the player with the highest scoring Racer will get a 50/50 chance of avoiding obstacles. Winner of the race gets the Star Chart which will grant you 50 XP in any one territory you currently have access to. Cat B: Build a repair pit where you can work on your Riot Racer. You can include the Racer in pictures, but the score will be based off everything but the Racer. Winner gets a Star Chart which grants 25 XP in any one territory you currently have access to. For his new squadron, which is made up of fresh-off-the-assembly-line E-Wings, the experienced officer recruited mainly pilots with experience in flying Incom vessels for clandestine Rebel Alliance cells in heavily fortified Imperial sectors. Blackmoon Squadron has flown its first missions out of Phindar in the Demetras Sector. In stark contrast to Commander Varth’s reputation, the squadron has only lost a single pilot during the first four standard months of its existence. As a replacement for the fallen squadron member, Seb Koltin, a native of Vondarc and former commercial pilot, has been recommended to Commander Varth. Koltin has combat experience in both the Z-95 and T-65B, having served in Bothan Space and the Tapani sector during the height of the Rebellion. FXT29954 Seb Koltin: Lieutenant Koltin reporting for duty, Commander! Cmdr. Varth: At ease. Welcome to Phindar, Lieutenant, I hope you had an uneventful journey. You’re taking the callsign Blackmoon 9. Simulator training is scheduled daily at 0900 and 1800 hours, unless otherwise specified. Your quarters are in Complex Besh, Room 272. I’ll introduce you to the squadron and our support staff at tonight’s briefing, 2100, conference room Four, Complex Besh. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For my first ever Eurobricks RPG build, I’ve created the hangar-space for Blackmoon 9 (indicated by the Aurebesh “9” on the floor) at the New Republic base on Phindar, the accompanying E-Wing starfighter, utility towers for mechanics, a mobile refueling tank and a ladder for climbing up into the cockpit. I hope you like it and would appreciate any feedback! 24. *Your entry has earned 11 XP + 10 bonus for a total of 21 XP (S:4, T:4, A:3) Life Day on Dathomir (or The Night(mare) before Life Day) Dathomir: a remote planet full of wonders and with a strong presence of the dark side of the force. It is the home of the Nightsisters – the Witches of Dathomir – who practice an obscure facet of the force, called magick. Under the rule of the Nightsisters are the Nighbrothers, a group of fierce Zabrak warriors. During the Clone Wars, the planet would come under attack due to a power struggle between the Sith and the Nightsister mother, leading to the destruction of the witch matriarchy. Since then, only a few Nighsisters and Nightbrothers remain, caught in despair and loneliness. But the Witches have one ghoulish power: Reciting the chant of resurrection, they could summon their dead sisters who would emerge from burial pods, hoisted up high above the ground… It’s the night before Life Day, when a Nightsister decides to do something against the loneliness and calls a gathering. It’s a family holiday after all… *********** Hello and welcome to this Life Day Entry Dathomir is not the planet you probably would call ideal to convey the spirit of Life Day... ... and indeed, it is not. But hey, Life Day comes in many variants and flavours across the galaxy. The build has got the Life tree and the burial pod is like a large, hanging Life orb. And above all, Life Day is about family. I don't know if the Nightsister and Nightbrother will really enjoy themselves with their undead sisters though... (they're zombies and old, so they probably have a different political opinion they would express loudly, when drunk at dinner) My other stories and builds:
  25. *Your entry has earned 16 XP + 3 bonus for a total of 19 XP (S:5, T:6, A:5) Raiders of the Lost Art - A Star Wars Mysteries Story Chapter Overview with Link: Dramatis Personae: ******* Chapter 17 - Castle Vonreg << to previous chapter of Raiders of the Lost Art After Ward Len’ya’s swing-and-miss at getting the location of Baron Vonregs secret base from Momma the Hutt, the sly Bothan spy somehow managed to get the coordinates. With the New Republic Gala looming on the other end of the Galaxy, agents Arthemias Bolt and Xher arrive on Acorvus, an obscure, barren planet in the Expansion Region. Len’ya’s information was just right. The planet - also known as Lazerian III – serves as a less known penal colony and hideout of the noble Vonreg family – the Castle Vonreg! » Castle Vonreg…there it is! « » There’s a lot of imperial activity down there. It will be difficult to sneak in... « » You don't say? I have a bad feeling about this. « » Len'ya has been planning this for a long time. We can't back down. « » I doubt he knew about this little gathering of Remnant blokes. After the failure with Momma the Hutt, I'm still wondering how Len'ya managed to come up with the position of this castle. « » Yeah, probably made a deal or two. « » Oh, sure he did. The question is, with whom. Anyway, let's stick to the plan. We'll sneak in, receive Len'yas transmission of Vonreg's personal codes, open the vault and retrieve the Ring of Nurbia. The Ring is key to find Emperor Palpatines treasure planet, right? « » Right... « » At least we have support from the special forces. « » I told you we don't need them. You, me and Rietta would do. « » Rietta wouldn't fit into a stormtrooper's uniform, would she? Anyway we need her to slice the local network and help us out! « » I hope these two are as good as you say. « » Hey, don't worry, sweatheart. Cahain and I got into places more heavily guarded than this. « » More guarded than this?! They have walkers, they have a shield generator, all these cannons and guards...« » Geller and Cahain are Pros who just returned from a rescue mission! No one keeps their cool better than these two. Len'ya trusts me with my choices and I do with his, see Black Sun? « » Ok, I guess you and Len'ya are square then... Look! That one guard is leaving the sentry again! « » Ok. Now or never! Xher, take out that guard! Geller and Cahain? Secure the left flank and shut down those cameras. We'll meet at the outlet! And y'all watch out for the AT-ST and them Viper droids! « to next chapter >> ************************************ Hello there and welcome to the next episode of Raiders of the Lost Art! The tension rises, as the Republic agents lead by Arthemias Bolt locate Castle Vonreg! I hope you enjoy all the microbuilds Here are some bonus images:
