  1. Hallo everybody, It has been a while since I last posted a MOC in my Greylands series, mostly because I joined LoR as well. So I hope you will like this one: =========================================================================================================================================================================================== Enjoying the nice paved floors in this district, Snip walked purposefully to his target. The fisherman's house was build of wood and had thatch as a roof. It looked small but comfortable. While standing in front of the door he repeated the same procedure he did with Wringer. But this time he stepped a few steps back, because he knew what was coming. For a few silent seconds there was not movement to be heard. But then the silence was overthrown while the door was being slammed open, followed by a small shadow which flew right at his throat... Snip sighed as he felt the weight of the little girl hanging around his neck: "Hi Mina, how are you?" The was around 12 summers of age and had long brown hair. Slowly loosening up Snip peeked past the girl to see his old friend Mr. Trout, which was obviously a fake name. He grinned while he reached out his hand to the big fisherman: "Lord Trout, how nice to see you again" Snip said. "Likewise Mr. Snip" the fisherman replied. "I got your message, your package is ready. I must say I was surprised to get this request, even coming from you. Do I even want to know what you are going to use this for?". "It is better if you are in the clear on this one" Snip replied. "I take it nobody knows about this?" Snip asked calmly. "No off course not" the man growled. "The house reeks of this stuff, so somebody would have probably noticed the smell though. It is packed as good as I could and it will not compromise you other than normal". "You have no idea how fond I am of your loyalty". Snip smiled and reached in his pocket for his two silver lings. "This is for you and the little one" Snip pointed to the now pouching girl. Snip walked over to her and whispered something in her ears. Her eyes lighted up as she turned to her father: "Are we honestly going to the farmers district tomorrow to get ice-cream?" The shoulders of the man visible lowered as he sighed: "Yes honey, you'll get some ice-cream". Snip reached for the man's hand again while he was now laughing out loud. "Thank you sir! And till next time!". The fisherman replied the same, only with a slightly sarcastic undertone: "Yeah thank you too, éh!". Snip waved as he walked towards the dark streets again. His mission succeeded so far. Only one person to pick up and his quest would really begin. =========================================================================================================================================================================================== More photo's available at my Flickr C&C is always welcome! - For anybody who is interested: I will not post any LoR MOC here and vice versa. -
  2. Hi Guys, This is my second MOC in the Greylands story. I have build a small one just to provide more story. I hope you'll enjoy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 1.1: Snip's Plan Thinking about his mission ahead, Snip finally arrived at his safe house. He was sure that the captain overlooking the city had seen him, so he took a different route to shake off some unwanted shadows. The streets in the Dark-District were very narrow as all scum, low-life, travelers and other undesired persons lived there. The houses were built in such close proximity to each other that opposite neighbors could shake hands from their attic windows. As Snip stood in front of his door he checked his surroundings and then pulled the lever above the door instead of the doorknob. This lever was the only way to open the door; a built-in safety to avert thieves and other riffraff. Once inside Snip lit some torches on the desk with his tinder-box. The small chamber lightened up. He hang his clothes and weapons on the wooden manikin and walked further in the room. He looked briefly in the mirror and smiled at his reflection. His dark eyes and half-long brown hair were always admired by the lady-folk. His charm was part of his arsenal and he knew it. 'Back to work' he mumbled, taking a last look. His desk was full of maps and letters with all the information he gathered in the last few years. Next to the desk was a big concrete model of the city on the wall. The city was built as a circle. With the citadel in the middle, five walls stretched out to the defense wall surrounding the city. These five arms, each containing its own gate, separated the five districts of the city. The Dark-District functioned as a buffer for the rest of the city. The Craft-District was built at the left side of the Dark-District. Here all craftsman lived and flourished with their respective jobs. In the northwest of lies the cities Elite-District. All mages, high-ranking officials and advisors lived there. This district was also known for its clean streets and managed foliage. The northeast was known as the Market-District. All of the cities food was grown and sold there by vertical farmers. The last district was the Free- or Labor-District. This district was inhabited by folk who had a general job and could pay for an average house. Most of them consisted of soldiers, farmers and craftsman. To navigate the upcoming journey to the citadel Snip attached a string to the citadel forming a path through the city to his house. He had carefully chosen his route, depicting the hurdles he needed to take. He had to take the gate from the Dark-District into the Craft-District and from the Craft-District into the Elite-District. To take the last gate from the Elite-District should prove to be the most difficult task, except from stealing the jewel of course... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More pics @ https://www.flickr.c...157654745440943 C&C is welcome
