  1. Hi fellow Brickheads, this will be my first topic for you, presenting a classic Lego Model Team from 1997 - The 5561 4x4 Big Foot. I got this one as a child... now I discovered my passion for Lego again, emptied the attic of my grandparents were ALL my Lego was stored and started sorting and building 5561 - Lego Model Team - 4x4 Big Foot In the good old times, this was my second Model Team Lego kit I got, the first one being 5541, the Hot Rod in blue. I remember building this piece of art, it was amazing and great and I really enjoyed it. Now for the second time, better than ever! The Big Foot is quite a large model, including 761 pieces and some very cool chrome bricks. Lego Model Team 5561 by Brickmasta on Flickr Building the 4x4 Big Foot This Lego kit starts out with some Lego Technic basic stuff to get the core frame plus steering done. Unfortunately no suspension at all, that would have been cool. First Build by Brickmasta on Flickr You then get the build up the bottom and side panels plus interior including the small V4 engine. The engine is a bit very small for the car, and also just done by using basic bricks, nothing moving from Technic. Kind of fits the model team style but it would have been fun to use a bigger engine with moving parts. Small V4 placed! by Brickmasta on Flickr The interior is pretty fun and cool with custom built seats plus shifting, steering wheel and some control panels to go along with. I like that detail very much! Of course not fitting with any scale minifigure. Cockpit by Brickmasta on Flickr The building process overall is not very complicated but also not very simple. Constructing up the frame parts makes the whole car unstable in some parts. Moving it around during building process or gripping it at the wrong section can result in some braking apart. When you hit up the roof parts it gets better, much of the roof is holding everything from the side panel details together. The moving rear windows plus moving side doors are awesome, also featuring small doors at the cockpit. Steering works from the top of it, but due to the many moving parts and the slight unstable finished built it is not really recommended for playing with... Just for putting it on a shelve to look at it, a very nice add up to any collection In the last picture you can see that the front steering parts from Technic are having troubles supporting all the weight of the car... slightly bending under the pressure. Lets see how long this will hold up But overall an amazing Lego kit, building is great fun and it just looks so nice on my shelve. If you have the chance you should definitely grab one for your own collection! So far for my very first build up... will now get myself into more work for MAKTOBER  Hope you enjoyed, visit my FLICKR for more and just add me
