Beautiful. The little details are my favorite, like the little stairways, i might have to steal the design . Excellent shuttle design as well!
-
Thanks, and no, i dont think ill make an AT-OT, but im starting to try and build a UT-AT. I haven't seen anyone make one of those yet.
-
I think your version turned out perfect. The scale, and the angle of the slopes and wedges look to be better proportioned anyway. Great job! Cant wait to see the Executor!
-
Just a few more photos, this time, with my LAAT/i included.. And my matching mini speeder, version 2.0:
-
These torsos were really reasonable, i believe i got them for less than a dollar each on bricklink. It was the helmets that were expensive... : P
-
Wow, i really like this! Great design.
-
I had a lot of fun building it. I never really design anything, i just sit on the floor with all my parts and put things together and take things apart til im happy with it. Thats true... but i think mine looks a bit more robust than this, haha:
-
thanks! and no, its just grey, but i added some fun bits. Heres a linkto the post i made for it.
-
My brother asked me the same question. Since its a land based vehicle, i thought red was a little too much. The grey makes it a little more tactical, more like a real tank.
-
Since a dropship needs something to drop, i built a more heavily armed (of course) version of the AT-TE, and changed the colors up a little bit too, as usual. Ill get some pictures of it with my red LAAT/c as soon as i finish building the connection mechanism.. Enjoy! Front: Overall shot: And some detail shots of my redesigned, un-manned turret: I haven't completed this yet, i'm still designing detail aspects of it, and ill post more pictures when i do so. Thanks for looking! comments and criticism welcome as always!

Im with brickfoot on this. You're always posting these enormous, elaborate, beautifully constructed works of lego art. Where do you find the time for these?!
-
Thanks! It was a lot of fun to design and build. Ill have to post a picture of both of my red LAAT's together. Very imposing. Also, would it be possible to add my LAAT/i and LAAT/c to the star wars MOC database?
-
Haha, thank you very much. You'll probably enjoy the new post i made about my version of the LAAT/c too as well : ]
-
Thanks! To answer your question, I decided to leave them in just the uniforms, since the light grey panels on the front and back of this torso reminded me of body armor. I didn't want to clutter up the figs too much, since they're supposed to be an elite squad anyway.

You all may remember my re-imagined LAAT/i (republic gunship) in an all red colour scheme.. (click here if you didnt see it) well, i decided to just keep going with that theme and built an all red LAAT/c with a few of my own little tweaks. Here are some pictures for you... From the front: Overall shot: Some greebling that replaced the awkward-looking carry handle on my design: And the tail end of the ship. I removed the tail gun, since it would work in tandem with my very heavily armed version of the RGS/LAAT/i: (The grey structure under the ship is just a support stand, i didnt want to put stress on the fairly fragile arms) Thanks for looking! comments and criticism are very welcome!

Thanks, and yes, just click the link in thee first post and it will send you to the thread i posted awhile back for it. Lots of pictures!

Just a little squad of minifigs i put together for my big red gunship. (click here if you are curious about that) This squad is made up of a lieutenant, 3 srgt's, (with packs) 3 heavy gunners and 6 standard troopers. The whole squad together: Ready for deployment in their gunship: Detail of a srgt with his equipment pack, which carries long and short-range communication equipmennt, and portable jamming units to protect against thermal, infrared, and other forms of detection devices: And, deplaying from the gunship! Only 8 fit inside, but there is a reason for that which will be revealed in another post soon... Thanks for taking a look! comments and criticism welcome!

haha thank you. yes then, i have commander cody with the armor and dual blasters. which will be included of course.
-
thats fine by me. i only have two regular clones, and one of the commander clones, with orange. i dont use star wars figs so if you want we can trade those? what would you want as a trade?
-
Hey guys, im looking to get some power miner figs, the 2010 versions, with the silver helmets. I have two standard clone troopers, and and orange clone trooper (sorry im not sure which one he is) tto trade if you are interested. i also have a few more SW, indiana jones, atlantis, and exo force figs, if any of those interest you... just shoot me a pm! thanks!

Thanks for all the comments everyone!

Yeahh, i kind of agree with you, maybe ill get some custom decals for the nose, to help break it up a little. i might try and build different doors, we shall see. And for Walter, the side guns do move up and down, and since they're only attached by one stud, they have a slight degree of movement from side to side. I liked them as a kind of ground bombardment weapon, like in the AC-130 gunships. But if you don't like them, thats alright, you don't have to : ] And i guess if you guys want a back story... maybe its a crew of bounty hunters, and their stolen republic gunship with modifications! haha. i didn't have any of those cool clone troopers with the red ( or dark red, i cant remember) and i really like the silver helmets and visors of the power miners, so i made some mini-figs of my own.
-
Overall shots... Nose... Engines detail.. Wingtip ion cannons... Side detail... And replacement of bacta tank with anti-personnel, dual-blaster emplacements... Rear... Interior... I removed the speeder bike from the troop bay, so i built my own matching speeder and replaced the silly command center thing as its hanger.. The new speeder... And finally, my "custom" crew, the dark red/body armour is the pilot/captain, the other two are gunners, one in the rear, the other in the front cockpit.
-
ahhh perfect, thank you. yes, i included lots of greebles haha. pics ASAP!

update.. if you guys are still interested anyway? Its about 90% finished, and i took a bunch of photos, ill post them as soon as i find my USB...
