Review: 6082 Fire Breathing Fortress
Extreme Sadness. replied to ZO6's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
*Looks at massive floor space* *Drools* WANT. SO. MUCH. WANT. Seriously, why can't Lego make sets with that much floor space anymore D: ? That looks better than quite a few new sets, to be honest. Great review, as well. -ES -
Review: 2113 Zane
Extreme Sadness. replied to tin7_creations's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
$13? Seriously? Is this a joke? $13 for a minifig, some cards, a few bricks and accessories, and a top piece? WTH? Definitely not buying these, I'll still buy the system sets, sure, I might even buy the Spinjitzu base set, but I'm not buying the single things for $13 each, maybe if it were Ten, I might be able to stomach it, but thirteen? No. -ES -
In regards to availability, they're out in my local TRU, I picked up Breez 2.0, Evo 2.0, Surge 2.0, Nitroblast, Jetbug, and Fire Lord a couple days ago. They had ab huge amount of heroes, mostly Nexes and Evos, with the occasional Breez or Surge, I didn't see any Stormers or Furnos, though, wich was a shame, as I wanted to get them instead of Breez and Evo. Nitroblasts flamethrower really doesn't need the extra supports, though, it handles fine on it's own, so I'm puzzled as to why the designers did this, since realy it's only purpose is to restrict the arms movement drastically. It wouldn't've been hard to change it so that the tank remained, but was attached directly to the torso, instead of attaching to the limb piece on the back, as well as remiving the arm that was attached to the torso and replacing it with the flamethrower arm, Nitroblast looks much cleaner without the extra arm, and the Flamethrower is no longer restricted. -ES

I was doubting this set after reading the BZP review, but I don't mind it afterreading this review, she'll probably be my fourth 2.0 set. Great review, as well, the pictures were very nice, and seeing the combiner was fun. -ES

Review: Poor Man's Gold Chrome C3-PO
Extreme Sadness. replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Those abominations look absolutely horrid. I had an Ewok minifig pen like that a while ago, but at least they didn't butcher the Ewok . -ES -
I thought I saw somewhere that HF was originally planned to co-exist alongside Bionicle. So I'm pretty sure that Hf wasn't originally planned to replace Bionicle. -ES

I believe we've gotten confirmation that the new armor peices are connected via Balljoints. If you're wondering what I mean, check the official HF topic on BZPower, page 110. 2011 peices have been found in LDD 4. -ES

Updated thoughts on the new sets: Unless the Villians get a complete overhaul(as in, completely scrap the designs), I'm not spending a penny on them, they look too cluttered, have too many new peices, and look too much like those Bionicle ripoffs from a while back(The ones that had very stylized peices), not to mention the new parts are WAAAAY too smooth. These thoughts go quadruple for the Fire Lord, unless he gets a completely different design, I'm not touching it's box with a ten-foot pole. I'm not very optimistic of the heroes either, their designs are also too smooth. I blame all the people who said "we need craploads of new molds EVERY YEAR" . -ES

. . . . . . . That's pretty effin' sweet, man. You even gave him Knee articulation! This makes me want to remake my heroes. -ES

MOC: He's Benton Destruction, Henchbot for Hire
Extreme Sadness. replied to Milargo's topic in LEGO Action Figures
The detail parts are Perditus-tastic =D . I like the thick armor, although I have a hard time believing those Legs could hold that Body. -ES -
New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley
Extreme Sadness. replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Licensed
Okay YES. I had a feeling that the set Svelte was talking about was a Diagon Alley set(This IS the one he was talking about, right?) But I really hope those Goblins get printed eyes in the final versions, they look creepy at this point. . . . . . . . -ES -
OH MY GOD. THEY ARE AMAZINGLY SIMILAR TO THAT M3G48l0K5 THEME. *BRAIN MELTDOWN* I'm glad to see that the most of the sets have more peices than the 2010 lineup, although I'm not expecting much from this "Fire Lord" guy, considering his peice count compared to Von Nebula, who barely managed to be custom. -ES

Erm, I never pictured Marendar looking so. . . . . . . . . .Bestial. And I think the hands are too messy, The assymetricality doesn't work IMO, and the Tail is just strange considering what it's supposed to be. Sorry, just doesn't cut it for me . -ES
-
OH GOD LEGO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THIS AWESOME THEME?! HF had potential, it could've been great, but Lego had to go and do this. And if Front isn't kidding, I AM SSOOOOOOOOO PISSED RIGHT NOW. I miss the Inika build, and, y'know what? I think I preffered small sets to not have knees and elbows, the 2010 heroes didn't have them, and I'd say it isn't detrimental to their awesome factor. -ES
-
I meant mostly pricewise, cause judging by this year's prices. . . . . . -ES
-
Well, doesn't look very promising this year in terms of SW, I'll probably only be getting the battlepacks and whatever the 26.99 set is if it's good. -ES
-
Revised my opinions on these: Awwwww, I was hoping they'd use the Hero build for at least one more year . Heroes: Eeeeh, I don't like that they don't have many axle holes, just the rods, this makes me sad, the posable limbs are nice, I guess, but waaaaah I want the old HF style back D: . Villians: GAAAAAAAH. WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS?! Like the Heroes, these aren't as good-looking as the first wave . And WHY DO THEY HAVE THE SAME COLORS. Overall, these things are gonna need to look REALLY good out of the package if I'm gonna buy them, I don't remember ANY sets looking this bad in even the Preliminarys. The System sets I saw look AWESOME though. But SW is looking to be stupidly priced AGAIN. -ES
-
Haha, you seriously think these sets are HF? Those are the Bionicle ripoffs from a while back. *Gets handed note* Oh. Well, then. They look interesting, but they look like there is WAY too much one-sidedness colors-wise. Too much yellow, Red and Silver, and the villians all have the same scheme D: . The heroes look very good though, and glad to see that Stormer and the rookies are returning. -ES
-
Not really interested in that prize, but I might as well make up a little pet for my entry to the other contest and post them together. -ES
-
There is only one word capable of describing this MOCs look:\ AAAAAAAAAWESOME. Seriously, the design, the look, the coloring, everything! -ES
-
Yeah, probably, although you might get lucky and get a full set, or you might get an awesome figure(Like the Spartan)for a double. -ES
-
Blaster is the only Slizer I own, and I'd say you've done a damn good job updating him. The gun is the best bit, and I like the way you made it lookn almoist like an older version of Blaster, more mature, so to speak. -ES
-
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS! I'm REALLY glad this is happening, I'm a little surprised though, considering that Bionicle/HF have been kind of neglected here. -ES
-
That settles things: I am getting this set as soon as possible. BTW, good job on the recolor for Furno. -ES
-
*Seizures*Well, I think I might be inclined to take apart a few of my built sets for this. I shall start soon, hopefully I will have it up also soonish. -ES
