I agree with you, around that time. Although it's hard to tell preciously. But gunpowder was actually discovered a long time ago from 1000 AD, though it wasn't made into weapons until 1000 AD (ish) and there weren't any affective guns until the 17th - 18th century.
Mmmm... I think that there is a definate lack of Green Dragon knights in this set, 2 knights for their base!
That said, I do love the new portculus. I also like the fact that most of the tower is realisticly acsesable by the minifigures. Personly I don't like it whe there is a lack of ladders and staircases.
I definately would like to see more figures like the ones included in the Market Village set.
Also, however, I would like to see more rich lords without armour wearing marvelous clothes, like the torso under the recent kings' armour.

This is Toys r us in the UK, I found this set with the name "Desert Attack" but it is different from the one with the shrubs and the horse, can anyone explain this?
Ok thanks ^ But after seeing that wikipedia i thought how would you make that in lego (fire grenades) anyone got any ideas? In addition does anyone have any tips on building viking transport because I've a small horde yet it seems empty without a means of locomotion.
Hi, Im totally loving the dinosaur use! While I was surfing bricklink, i came across a troll green dinosaur with a long neck, I was thinking, if there was a grip point in the mouth you could use it as a kind of massive spear. Just an idea.
Hi, I was wandering, what is a medieval fire grenade? Plus i think your tips are totally right, except, Vikings didnt use bows because they thought it was cowardly.
