Compared with the Monster Castle it is off scale quite a bit. I also don't think it's a modular build. It looks to me like it doesn't have a wall on the back. It might be lighting or the poor quality of the stills but it hink the walls at the back are at some strange not 90 degree angle. Whatever it is I'm also looking forward to this set.

if i buy this set i'll probably mod it to be on just two floors (like the fire brigade) and use the remaining bricks to fill the hole left for the elevator control arm. I don't like a modular building so high and the empty row at the back is unacceptable. Overall - this looks like a simplified modular building and very different from the rest. I cannot say that I don't like it but it could have been better.

No comments on the MOC as it is a truly gorgeous build so far. The thing that bothered me the most was the quality of the photos :) Because of the flash and bad lightning I had hard time distinguishing all the neat details you put in your creation. Please, please use better lighting when shooting as your skills deserve it! :)

You fitted 4 buildings on 3 plates - ingenious :) The buildings are not overly detailed but very realistic and look very well together :) but the vehicles are the best of all in this moc - the Citroen and the bus - excellent work (worth stealing right away ;)

Excellent review! :) And the set itself looks very promising. I had difficulty choosing my favorite build from the 3 options. This shows that they are well thought out and are not just there to fill time. Waiting for it in my local store!

Thanks for your comments and compliments, everybody! Actually no. It'll become too tall and not match the other modular building. I have been thinking about eventually adding more of the brown floors thou. I tried with tan, light bluish gray, dark red, dark brown and white. And in all of these variants the contrast with the rest of the build is either too much (white, tan), or not enough (light gray, dark brown). So I decided to stick with reddish brown. A 170 if we need to be acurate :) Nougat is expensive :) And didn't quite fit with the dark gray when I tried with few parts. Maybe its me but I didn't like the combination.

Hi people! In the past month I've been working on my last MOC - a department store. I really wanted to build a massive looking building - with large windows on the ground floor, a lot of dark gray and massive arches. I used a lot details from the Grand Emporium as I really like that set. And maybe it that is why its probably more appropriate to call it modification. While I'm not quite happy with what came out (especially the third floor - the reddish brown really doesn't look as I imagined it would) I decided to post it here for comments and ideas before I break it down. The basement idea is great :) Really love it. And the interior details are great. I also like borrowing ideas for my MOCs from official sets, but you have done very good job with the atlantis set and city bank - really seamless integration.

I don't think they need new molds for animals. My suggestions is that the animals will be brick build - something like the toys in the Grand Emporium and Winter Toy Store. Or the seaguls in the recent Lighthouse sets that we've seen. If it is going to be a Pet Shop. And I'm realy hoping for a Post Station.

Thank you all for the nice comments! :) I'm planing an interior for this building. But I'm a little impatient when it comes to building and was so eager to finish the exterior that left the interior for later. Encouraged by the comments I'm now more motivated to finish it properly :)

Here is my latest creation. For some time now I've wanted to build a tan house, and a house with columns. So this is what came out. Heavilly inspired by Marcos Bessa's Ancient Lady Museum (mainly for the windows) and teddy's Public Library. The front: And the back with a little bit deserted garden: This is how it looks next to my other modular buildings: Any comments are welcome :) It is a relatively simple build - not much details on the facade. My biggest dilemma was about the scale - the floors are 9 bricks tall and this is maybe a little bit larger than the original CC modular buildings. But I still don't have an original Modular to compare so suggestions are welcome.

Thanks all! Glad you like it. Actually I was thinking about this while building but decided that it wouldn't look good. But when you said it, I decided to give it another try and here how it came out: It's better this way and closer to the original. 10x for the tip! :)

This is my second try to build a CC style building using a real world example. It's a simple build as I didn't have time and bricks to make it very detailed. Anyway all comments and ideas are welcome - especially regarding the roof (it turned out to be very hard to replicate this construction with plates).
