Great review. I finished this set last week. The only things that bothered me were the lack of a crow's nest (what kind of ship wouldn't have a crow's nest?) and the missing cannons. 4 more cannon wouldn't have cost much to put in. I'll just have to get them off the net.

Yet another newbie to the forums. The name's Steve. I'm an AFOL who lives just outside of Chicago, IL. I grew up playing with Legos (Black Falcon's Fortress was my favorite set) but sadly they were "lost" in a move when I was a teenager. I've only recently gotten back into building, and I've done two train sets (Emerald Night and the passenger train) and the Pirates' Imperial Flagship.
