  1. Galen pauses for a second, panting from the mad rush up then down the stairs. On the second floor he caught a glimpse of Flavius, bleeding from numerous wounds. He hoped that the Rito would somehow manage to evade his assailants. Regrouping with Alex and Luke, Galen applies venom to the blade of the Sword of Bashing. In such a long battle, even small things could make a difference. As he turns to the stairs preparing for the onslaught, he hears footsteps behind him and a familiar voice -- Nyx rushing to join them! Their fight already seemed a little bit less desperate. OOC: Would it be possible to poison two weapons during the same round? (With two venom vials, of course.) -- Um I suppose not, it would count as using two items, right?
  2. Galen climbs the stairs and dashes into the first room on the second floor.
  3. No room for dickussions! Vote: Andrew Gordon (Scubacarrot)
  4. This has already been posted some time ago, so I will merge this with the existing topic.
  5. Galen barely had time to accustom himself with the new and disturbing visions in his head that he noticed his team companions were gone. Hearing noise upstairs, he made it for the staircase, all the while wondering if it was a good idea to leave the entrance of Alandri's Wing unattended.
  6. That was awesome! Stumps are the future, Town Cops are so overrated! Now that we finally have a known scum identity to work with, I feel that our work will be much easier. This is probably a turning point in our fight against the Purists.
  7. OOC: My dagger shouldn't be struck out, it has been recovered after the last fight!
  8. This seemed fairly legitimate to me, so I decided to go along with it. Wait a minute right there... I understand that York was trying to lure scum again by claiming to know all of the PRs and more weird things. Even if it was an ill-executed plan, there's nothing wrong about trying. But... the part about knowing all of the PRs appears, according to the quote above, in the original claim by York to McAndrews. I would like for York to confirm, do you actually know all of the known town PRs? That's a bizarre and unlikely claim, and without backing hardly a proof of towniness? I don't understand how McAndrews took this at face value -- fairly legitimate? Please tell me that you have at least tried to confirm York's allegiance? I don't think that York is clear of suspicion for having participated in this sting. She used what seems to be a lie to convince McAndrews that she's townie. Added to what I mentioned about her yesterday, I think that this case is far from closed.
  9. Happy birthday Croissant, badboy and everyone else!
  10. "Time to move on!" Galen attacks Imperial Guard D from the front row with the Sword of Bashing.
  11. "Whoever your god is Nerwen, they're being very kind to you -- and us by extent!" Galen attacks the Heavy Elite Guard from the front row with the Sword of Bashing.
  12. Thank you for the nice book review, Big Cam! We don't see enough of these around here! This sounds like a very entertaining read and certainly one I would consider buying for my non-FOL better half!
  13. I think this is a question best asked in the Minifig Customisation Workshop, moving now.
  14. Galen retrieves his throwing dagger from the battlefield.
  15. Given the conversations taking place since this theory was proposed, I think that scenario 1 is unlikely. It was an attractive one at first, but Burbank and York have done a good job fighting in what seems to me like a genuine argument. I don't think that they could fake this kind of argument convincingly. Scenario 3 seems plausible, hence my vote goes for vote: Julius Burbank (Brickdoctor) But I wouldn't dismiss scenario 4 so readily. Scum could try to defend a townie just because they know they're townie, and it would look good on their record later on. Look at it this way: Burbank was not under pressure, so York defending him wasn't going to spoil a lynch. Besides, York's intervention alone wouldn't have saved Burbank from a lynch. However, York could have used his defence of Burbank to a) show his unwillingness to jump on just any bait; and b) get in touch with Burbank and try to extract information from him -- which is what actually happened. Looking back at that conversation between Burbank and York, York looks just as scummy as Burbank. So although I support this lynch as a means to gather information, we shouldn't dismiss scenario 4 if Burbank happens to be innocent. This may perhaps not be the best scum strategy, but York is not the most experienced crew member either, as he mentioned himself. York's defence of Burbank is the kind of small slip that even the most experienced scum team as a back-up won't be able to control.
  16. "Oh Cronk, it's good to have you around! I brought this Guard to his knees, feel free to finish him off!" Galen attacks the Heavy Elite Guard again and again from the front row.
  17. That would be a terrible thing for a standalone server.
  18. Oh! I'm a tree stump too, can we have babies?
  19. Please avoid quoting picture-heavy posts unless it's required for the sake of clarity, thank you!
  20. Unsurprisingly, I never had heard of this park. Do you happen to know if there are still rides/attractions from the original LEGOLAND still in use in Hansa Land? I googled the park but didn't readily find this information. I did find a Brickshelf gallery of pictures taken in the original park though!
  21. This has already been posted about a week ago, so I will shortly merge the two topics.
  22. "It would also take a miracle for me to actually land a hit on someone..." Galen attacks the Heavy Elite Guard again from the front row.
  23. Ensign Williams does have a point. How can we analyse patterns when people don't even care to speak their mind about what's going on? Today has been a pretty exciting day with a few accusations or at least suspicions flying around, yet very few crew members have voiced their opinions. For instance: See? Commander Walters has spoken up quite a few times, yet not once he has voiced the shadow of an opinion on the present accusations. How's that for flying under the radar? Active yet not really, I bet he will just jump on the most promising bandwagon when it will have gained momentum. The worst thing is, it wouldn't even mean that Commander Walters is scum. We just can't tell. So yeah, I'd rather have people summarise and repeat, and at least chime in on accusations so that we can retrospectively try to figure out their allegiance, instead of just voting late in the day when the direction of the vote is already obvious. Oh and... Waaaaaaahhhhhhhh3 waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! I'm a tree stump! Because it is important to keep the dead folk entertained!
  24. "Cronk, maybe your warrior half isn't doing so well in this battle but your cleric half is working wonders!" Feeling much better, Galen attacks the Heavy Elite Guard with the Sword of Bashing from the front row.
  25. It's a compelling theory, and the more I think about it the more I like it. I initially thought that it would be risky for scum to lie about the parameters of the simulation -- as the v1.0 scum team might have privately discussed this with other crew members after the simulation was halted. On the other hand the Admiral advised discretion, and scum impersonators wouldn't know how the reboot would be structured -- and whether some of them would remain scum. One possible explanation is that someone among the scum was in on the plan from the very start. Ensigns Falcon and Pewter can't answer now, but perhaps Lt McAndrews knows who might have spoiled the sting. Statistically speaking, it's rather more likely that one scum character made it from v1.0 to 2.0, than zero, two or more (I'm assuming 5 scum members like in the simulation). But the Admiral could have decided that none of the original scum characters would get to play a similar role in the sequel, which would also make sense. I'm not sure how this hypothetical merging of two scum teams would have happened from a night action point of view -- but I presume that sending enough scummy 'vibes' to Ensign Pewter could have been enough for his side to target you and accomplish the merge. So you not 'taking him up on the offer' in so many words doesn't seem to me like proof that you weren't serious about it. On the other hand, I agree that asking about other members of Pewter's gang isn't something scum would have cared about so much. Quite the opposite actually, as it would have made them sound as townies fishing for information! So yeah, the case against you isn't clear cut.
