  1. 6357 was an awesome set and I played with it for hours when I was little. I still have it assembled. I don't think I ever took it apart once I built it. Anybody remember the 6 wide 6336-1: Launch Response Unit? I thought I would add it. http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=6336-1
  2. You are one of the few who understood my question and may be on to something. I believe it's lacking some detail from the one Dug pictured (which I really like BTW). My version based off of set 10133 captures the GP40 locomotive extremely well. The amount of detail and lines they put into it really makes it look realistic. It's probably one of the reasons I decide to get back into Lego (train). I missed out on buying the set but I love the general design. That's very true about what you are use to but I love the look of the electric engine you posted. The engine in Deluxe Cargo Train Set doesn't capture that feeling of it. Very true. Thanks, one is very limited when working around the constraints of the RC power box... I really don't want battery powered box cars.
  3. Why is the Locomotive from the Deluxe Cargo Train Set so ugly? I can't quite put my finger on it. I have been trying to work on the design but there isn't anything that really helps it out....:( At first I thought it was the John Deere color scheme so I switched that up to black and green. Still a no go...then I thought maybe it was the noses but that didn't help. I'm stumped...maybe it's just a blah design. Maybe I'm spoiled since I built these... The white and red one is a dummy locomotive (non powered) My modified RC acceptable Diesel Locomotive (powered) Thanks, Zach
  4. OMG That's crazy
  5. I like how simple it is and works great.
  6. The tanker, train station, and cargo train are definitely on my list. However I hate they don't include the base plate for the train crossing.....
  7. Now that you mention I did but that wasn't intentional. When I first modified it I had light gray and all blue. It didn't look like an official set. So I went back to the drawing board on it and kept messing with it. While deciding on the colors I kept making it sturdier and can't believe how solid it is now. I played around with making the bed longer but decided against it. Thanks for the input guys. I will have some more up soon....hopefully whenever I get some time.
  8. No, that's not me. The chain idea just came to me after I couldn't find enough 1 x 2 with Arm Ups in white. I only had 3... ;) I'm suprised that nobody caught my modified wind turbine rig in the background.
  9. Can you host it on rapidshare or something because I can't send messages (too new). I would normally just send you my email. Thanks! PS I hate the flash based instructions...
  10. Long time reader but only posted a few times. Blue Flatbed modified using various Lego standard building techniques. Later
  11. It's still down. Does anyone have the instructions for LEGO 7686 Helicopter Transporter? I was wanting to get a look at how they built the semi. Thanks, Zach
