Hey Francis. In my opinion, and if it's possible for you, using dark red 1x1 cylinders would match the color scheme of the ship the most. If dark red isn't possible, I would go for black, giving you plenty of palm tree trunks, and also matching the cannon and masts' color. Brown in the other hand gives a little too much brown for the ship. But either way, your ship looks pretty good!
