An interview with Zack the LEGO Maniac, done in 2008.

Can we make a topic exclusively for LEGO commercials? Or is there one already? There are lots of other great ones... I just found this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2puR0wBUz4...feature=channel ...I should have been more careful with calling the one I mentioned earlier "BEST EVER", now that I think about it...

Thanks. I personally think this bear is the greatest thing I have ever made out of LEGO. It's very playable (or swooshable? Is that the word?)! I also think that the 2nd picture turned out quite cute, with that bat looking at the bear. It was supposed to have slept along with the bear in that cave, but the bear hadn't noticed it before...

Back when I was little I would collect (well, not really collect as in, collect for the sake of having it, if you know what I mean) all kinds of stuff including: - plush toys - small toy cars - fake LEGO (LEGO imitations) - those Kinder egg toys But I stopped it a LONG a time ago. Now I only care about LEGO. In fact I have a big box full of this stuff, and I think I'm gonna sell it somehere...

Does this have anything to do with some LEGO pieces now being made in CHINA? By the way, I bought a Creator (or whatever that line is called; it just says "LEGO" on the box...) set (a pseudo castle set, so to speak), and I immediately noticed the quality of the pieces is clearly worse than most of those from my old collection (note that I didn't buy any set for 5 years a little earlier than that, so I was comaring them with much older ones). The chain from that set especially caught my attention. It feels so... plastic... I'm not sure how to put it, but when you touch it, you can somehow feel the poor quality of those pieces. Has anyone had the same experience as described above?

"Duplo" sounds a lot like the Polish word "dupa", meaning "butt"... but it's kind of more vulgar.

When do you think the Adventurers theme takes place? Is there an offical time frame? Or is there a way to deduce it from what we know about this theme? My guess, is it's in the 30s. Some of the vehicles look too advanced for the 20s to me. But then again, the Island Hopper looks too advanced for the 30s, also... or does it?

Mine is the number of a Technic figures pack: http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=8712-1 Bleurgh... I never really liked Technic... I guess you can pretend those are some kind of giant people, if you want to incorporate them into LEGO System...

I really like this one! And it's one of those classic impulse sets from the 90s! Those kind of sets were always very cheap, but most of them contained some useful pieces. The Indian minifigures were extraordinaly detailed for their time; especially their faces (actually, so were the "cowboy" minifigs... well, maybe not THAT much). I also find it incredible somebody would put a new LEGO set on a shelf and let it just sit there for years... Hmm... I think I ought to do the same... if I really want to review the T. Rex Transport (which I'm kind of planning on).

So it's a contest within a contest... Extremely bizarre award. Then again, I would expect no less from pirates!

My entry into the miscellaneous category. A bear was sleeping deep in its customly modified cave (with a hidden entrance) when suddenly... - SQUEEEAK!! - Urrh...? The bear promptly walks out of the cave, and stands on its hind legs in order to examine the situation... To its surprise, though, it doesn't notice any presence around. - (It was nothing... guess I'm gonna go back to sleep, then...) The bear thought, turned around, and saw the source of the noise: Bat: (OH HI!) Bear: (Hey, didn't noticed you before; how did you...? Ah, whatever...) Image - (I guess I'm just gonna eat this delicious salmon...)
-
Yes, of course, same here, but that's kind of a given; that's why I said I liked the second one!

Can you add my reviews to the index? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36868 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36893 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36866

I had all the other sets from this special collection, but not this one (because I was playing a more realistic castle, and didn't need another dragon at the time). Now I regret not buying, because I could have had that cool chrome armour complete. I've lost the chestplate and the bull shield, anyway, but still... the chrome helmet is a very useful part in its own right. All of those 4 sets had great and rare stuff in them... but one thing surprised me: the price the reviewer mentioned. In my country those sets were much cheaper.
