Hello fellow brickheads!
I was just sitting here having my first cup of jo, checking e-mails and listening to the news. Then, a commercial for the new Sherlock Holmes movie came on.
First thing that popped into my head was "WOW - think of all the possibilities this could provided for a new theme set of LEGO!!".
These sets could tie into so many other sets out there not to mention the popularity of Steampunk as well. I wonder if those at LEGO know how HUGE the market would be to the Steampunk community that had never really looked into that genre. Can you imagine the tie ins that could then go into Jules Verne type sets - 'A Journey to the Centre of the Earth', 'Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea', 'Around the World in Eighty Days' and 'The Mysterious Island' to name just a few?!
you have all those fancy sets like the 'Market Street', 'Café Corner' and 'Green Grocer' that easily adapt to the whole Victorian theme - not to mention la Tour Eiffel!!
What do you all think? Anyone know if LEGO is even looking into it?
Moderators - if I have placed this in the wrong section PLEASE feel free to move it. I'm still learning my way around this excellent site!
Yours in bricks,
Larry
