Heroica RPG - Quest#19: Let's Start a Riot
The Legonater replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Dyric too, had his worries. However, for once since being tortured and exiled from the Kingdom, they were not for himself. He though of Haldor, the tortured soul across the campsite from him. Yes, Dyric undestood. He had been there, and far past. No, he would not let Haldor fall into what he had himself been torn apart over for so long. He couldn't. No, Jess would be rescued. For Haldor's sake. The sake of a friend. And thus, Dyric's first truely noble act in Heroica began. -

Dyric looks at Haldor, and realised what he had to be thinking. He then approached Haldor, placing a firm hand on his shoulder. As you know, my own was killed before my very eyes. The same is not going to happen to you, Haldor. Not if I have anything to say about it. -
Depends on which movie you're talking about. Skrall
-
On more realistic terms, Skar could shoot an arrow with a message attached to it, and see how far it goes...
-
Somehow I doubt Dyric can contact De'kra However, if any of the rebels has contacts in your area, that could work.

I stand up behind the Beast, and hurl my dagger at it again from the back row. -

I watch as Haldor falls, but with nothing to do to help him, I retrieve my knife. -
For the record, I've thought about a few pretty good ideas for your quest. However, I'm not in your quest

Same here. I can pass on a few sets, but it's still going to be painful. -

I hurl my dagger from the back row. I assume that fourth round does not carry over to the next battle? -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
The Legonater replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, the in-universe answer is that it was one of 150 contingency protocols drilled into the clones along with their military training. Frankly, this has always made more sence to me than genetic programming. -
As for Dyric's past, it's been generally told already, but it doesn't hurt to review. "This is better explained... in backstory." Dyric and his brother Eyric Rone come from a long line of rogues. Their family has long been employed as the royal guards to the Duplovian throne, using their rogue abilites to capture criminals and assisnate those liable to rise up against the throne. The most 'recent' election ended with a king who was distraught apun learning of Dyric's family, as he was extremley anti-rogue. He quickly had Dyric's father- Cyric- executed in the most bloody and painful way possible. Dyric was the oldest son, and thus he was forced to watch the death as his own torture. As Eyric had not yet gone into the family business, he was left alone, but Dyric was put under extreme pain. The friends of his in the Duplovian military were put in what was predicted to be the bloodiest battle in the past 20 years, and the predictions were right. Dyric was brought to the base camp and watched the fight which claimed all of those friends' lives, as he was held back by chains. His other friends, as well as his lover, where tortured and executed in a various of bloody and violant ways, with Dyric forced to watch it all. He was next. Through the next month or so, he was beaten almost to death and healed by a cleric, over and over again, until they finally forced him into exile, never to return to Duplovia. He made his way to Heroica, where he hoped to redeem himself in the king's eyes, and return to his country. So, yeah. Dyric is pretty messed up

Four rounds of combat... that's about two rounds with my throwing knife. I'll take those odds. I upgrade my chain whip -
As for Dyric, I merely chose Rogue because, well, it was the most interesting class to me. That and the throwing knives For his name, I really just the first cool name that came to mind. It was only until after I had written it that I realised the connection with LaRone, a stormtrooper in Timothy Zahn's Allegiance. And his backstory... I'm not entirley sure how that came to me. I know the idea of him being Duplovian came from the quest I'm finishing up with Masked Builder's help, but everything else was just a really good idea that popped in my head. So, yeah. The creation of Dyric has one of the more boring histories

Feeling the adrenaline, I begin singing an ancient Duplovian war song. -
On the contrary, I quite enjoyed the Mortis arc, but I know there are many out there that despise it. Also, Lucas' involvment has been growing through the seasons, and- in my opinon- it would appear the quality of the plots have degraded in synch with that. Throughout the years, TCW has gone steadily more hit-and-miss.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
The Legonater replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't see why people think there would be a Season 3 Ashoka and a Season 1 Malevolance anyways. Sure LEGO puts random figs in, but there's usually some connection- like Jedi to a Republic Ship- and I've never seen any 'time warping' on LEGO's part. If Ashoka were to be in the Malevolance it would be Season 1 Ashoka. -
I beg to differ. It was Lucas' influence that ruined TCW. He was the genius that though of things like the Mortis Arc, afterall. Filoni had more control earlier on- when the stories happened to not have a political base every second episode and focused more on the war- and so I think it'll be good, especially with all the new advancments.

I really can't wait for the Brickarms ones. I've never tried Little Arms Shop, but they just don't seem to have the same quality. -

I still think Orcs look very similar. If we could get the head of one- already dead, of course- that would go a long way to 'proving' Haddock's death. -

I wisper to Skrall We should kill either of them. But I still stand by my theory of faking their deaths. That way we get the maximum amount of troops, plus both bonuses. -
Well, we can be certain Lucas isn't writing it, as he says he's retiring in the article below: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/22/magazine/george-lucas-red-tails.html?pagewanted=1&_r=2 I must say, it's a strange shock. Yes, he's getting old, but he's made some amazing movies, and despite all the things people hate about some, they were revolutionizing in several ways.
