Me too! Simon was involved in early stages, but isn't any more. When I saw him last month, he said he saw very early concepts for the TFs, and they were nothing like he has seen before! I see this as a new phase in the Transformers story, in the same way Armada, Energon and Cybertron were, and don't expect it to be the same as the original. I am most definately a TF fan first (my collection dwarfs my lego collection) and am really excited about seeing this film. My two boys are TF fans too, and are really looking forward to it! Glad to hear that Furman's been involved as hes a great writer, i agree about the new phase for a movie its best that they started off without any backlog of storys. Is there any news on what TF's we are likely to see??

Hmmmm i have very mixed feelings about this film, im a huge TF fan hell i still watch TF: The Movie when i have the time. When i first heard about the new film i like many others thought that it was a terrible idea as i believed that it just wouldnt work, but after seeing the trailer i know believe that it could turn out good. When the TF first started the idea was that they were few and didnt want to be seen by the public thus leading to the disguise part, this for me was a great concept i mean even back then in 1984 earth weapons could of done some serious damage to the robots in disguise. So for this film to be successful i think that it would be best for the script to play on that as best it can, as for the design of the TF well i think that they should be shown with wires and hydrolics showing just like in the citroen ad as it shows that they are not all powerful and could be destroyed by earth weapons. Don Murphys involvement is good, i wonder if Bob Forward or Simon Furman were ever asked for there imput? Anyway i look forward to seeing more before i pass judgement.

Great ep and just what was needed after the football :'-( , i thought the same as you prime that the genisis pod might contain davros. It sure would be great to have him back in charge of the daleks, hopefully we will also see a great dalek cyberman fight.

yep, many analysts say Henry fooled the ref into having been hit in the face, leading to the free kick for 1-1... the same thing happened with Ivanov earlier on in Portugal-Holland. the thing is, these players are so experienced that they can even manipulate referees into giving yellow and red cards... The Germans are also extremely irritating in that regard. they constantly go to the ref asking for a card for any opponent whenever a teambember is down... that's why we really should have tv assisting the refs in the future, so we can at least put a stop to that... Oh i agree with you sne, tv would help to cut down on play acting. It really annoys me when i see a player cheat and in big matches like were now seeing it robs us fans of seeing which team is better. Back in the world cup of 2002 a turkey player kicked the ball at the brazilian rivaldo, tv cleary showed it hitting rivaldo in the belly/cheast yet he threw himself down holding his face and the turkey was given a straight red card. Now had they used tv footagae the ref would of seen rivaldo trying to cheat and sent him off. To me anyone who cheats in a game should have a straight red card and if tv was used this would greatly help the ref to get things right.

I watched it and was surprised that the free kick was given, oh by the way it was henry not vieria that knocked puyol over, there was this big debate about henrys actions over here as he plays here. Many agreed that it was not a free kick to france and that spain were very unlucky. I remember a year or so ago when the spain manager made some rather nasty remarks about henry that henry said he would getrevenge and i guess he has now.

Damn its a shame that the Goblin wont be more comic like, its such a good look and one thats original. At least the sandman looks good and im hoping that venom turns out to be a venom thats based on his comic form also.

It seems to me that everyone wants minifig packs but Hasbro prevent this happening. Now recent sets are minfig treasure-troves. How many did we get with the new new Slave I? With the Sailbarge? With the System-scale ISD? And now how many could we potentially get with the new new X-Wing? Maybe LEGO are trying to give us what we want - LOTS of minifigs, but in a way that won't cause agro. Be grateful! Now I'll wait for the complaints - yeah, but another LUKE, another HAN. Another C-3PO. As I said, be grateful and accept that new molds would up the price and give you something else to moan about. I for one wouldnt call this legos new way of getting us more figs at all, firstly the sailbarge had the right amount of figs for the price just look at other sets around that price like the clone tank, Lego have always thrown in more figs for larger sets. As for complaints about figs well i for one think that its a fair comment, SW is known for such a wide range of aliens etc and yet lego have barely scratched the surface. I want more new figs not just the same old ones in peach color, hell i would even be satisfied if the figs we have already at least came with different bodys like a hoth luke or a general lando etc. The new xwing set sounds like a set thats been thrown together by lego in an attempt to make yet more cash, i also thought the same about the inspection set as we were given most of that set in other sets throughout the years. Now im not trying to bash that set as its a good idea for newbies but what im trying to point out is that there was nothing new about it save from the imperial buggy things. What made the sets from ep 3 so good for me is that not only did we get new figs but we also got new vehicles also.

It was confirmed a loooooooong time ago ryhmer that sandman would be in it, heck you can even see him in the trailer. But if you missed it heres a few pics one that shows sandman. As for a sandman/venom hybred well i for one wouldnt like that, just give us a plain old evil venom.

*yoda* France could meet Italy in the final you know, though some may see this as a long shot it is possible. I expect italy to beat the ukraine and i beleieve that they would have a great chance against germany or argentina.

:-D I would love to see a semi between england and france, this would be a great match up and would also break the hold on the finals that brazil have.

Wow 6 figs for an xwing does seem extreme to me, but nothing surprises me more where legos concerned these days. I like many others would love to have a taun taun included and even a wampa but it seems that lego just dont want to do them, at least not yet anyway.

Ok so we know theres 3 villans in the film but what we dont really know is how and when they battle spiderman, it could be like in ROTS where the Sandman is mainly in the first half of the film much like Grevious was. Ive read that the goblin will be paying sandman to kill spidey so this would fit nicely then along the way spidey gets the new suit and losses it before setting up a final showdown with both goblin and venom, if done right this could really be good. Has anyone seen the animated cartoon version from the 90's with the venom suit?? There was a 3 part arch that involved spidey getting the new costume, fighting a few villains and then the birth of venom. This was around 1 hour long and worked really well, also in the trailer at the end you can see spidey hanging upside down in his new threads whilst looking into a mirror glass window, this was actually done in the cartoon so i wonder if the director has taken notice of the cartoon.

It should be a great game though i believe that the Germany v Argentina match will be better, just because of the passion involved from the german fans and the great skill that the argie side has. Out of all the quarter final games im looking forward to everyone but the italy game.

Saying what he did was just plain stupid and it goes to show just how inmature he really is, i expect that his club side will throw the book at him once he comes back.

The lego sets sucked if you ask me, i mainly bought a few for the figs really. Its a shame though as they could of been so much better than they were. Anyway before this topic goes into a lego set rant lets get back to the trailer, Apo i to hope that venom is like his comic counterpart if not then it will be a real shame. I loved the bit where we see the sandman in full sand mode crashing down and hope theres alot more of it in the film.

It was good to see ZZ back to his best but i wonder how long he can maintain it? His will may be strong but is his body up to it? i guess we will find out soon enough. I expected alot more from Spain though i mean heres a team that had gone undefeted for 24 games, yet they didnt play like that.

Therefore i have sent word for 10 ewoks to be taken to the Empire bridge on Coruscant.............. There we will attach a bungie cord to each of there legs and offer them a choice jump and win your freedom.......... Of course the catch here will be that if they dont jump then they will be fed to a rancor and 9 of them will have cords that are too long!!!!!!............... Oh and the 1 that does survive will be sent free on Mustafar.............. I really hate that place you know GM.

France do remind me of England when it comes to playing lower rated sides, we always play better against big teams. I remember us beating germany 5-1 then struggiling against greece a few weeks later *wacko* Anyway if we beat portugal and france beat brazil then that would set up a great semi final and one that not many would have believed could happen.

Well was i the only one who was surprised to see that france beat spain? I thought that spain would of made it through to meet brazil, i just hope that france now give brazil a good game.
