Any suggestions for how to use KK2 colored knights?
willy_poodle replied to Shroffy123's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think KK2 knights can only be useful as some kind of Power Rangers (if such a thing can have any use) Oh, wait... Maybe it could work as some Manga RPG kind of fantasy -
I repeat my question: Where is the best selection of Pick-A-Brick in UK?

Green 32x32 baseplate not sticky enough?
willy_poodle replied to Trango's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I was just going to make a topic about that, but found this one. It's very bad, the minifigs fall over everytime you move it. It's better to be too tight than too loose - you can always use the separator for the plates. -
D2C Designers requesting feedback for 2012 models

1. No 2. Individual 3. Conwy Castle , Chester (UK) City Centre, Charles Bridge (Prague), 4. Tudor mansion, medieval or 19th century town, medieval farm, cathedral, victorian house, more modular buildings, landscapes (european forest with animals, fjord, huge tree) 5. I'd like more plants and leaves and new animals like deer (both sexes), roe deer, brown bear, bison, fox, badger, beaver, wild boar, lynx, elk/moose, red squirrel, falcon or hawk, eagle, pigeon, stork, heron, pheasant, partridge, More historic, fantasy and adventure sets, less contemporary and futuristic. More buildings, less vehicles. -
Argos and Toys'R'Us have Prince Of Persia with lowered prices. Toys'R'Us and John Lewiss have Toy Story 3. I asked today about Kingdoms in Toys'R'Us and The Entertainer and in TRU they didn't know anything, in TE they said they are going to have it from July.

Congratulations to the winners!

This is how mentioned Raaco inserts look like. The smallest size is good for standard minifigs, but Squid Warrior doesn't fit. A horse fits to double size, but not a camel, ostrich fits to smallest one. Big troll would need 4x mini, but sticks out and you can't stack or close if you put the inserts to the suitcase-like container, which they are designed for. Some minifigs with height-adding stuff need to be bent to fit (like Indian... sorry - tribal hunter with feathers).

Yeah... Sure, especially when you look at my example it shows how FAIR it is. Green Grocer - price in GBP: £ 99.99 (477.56 PLN), price in PLN: 749.96 PLN (£ 157) I think it's more popular in Germany, but ONLY because in Poland it's a luxury, people can't afford. Would be more popular if we had the same prices.

Have you got anything left from that? -
Where is the best PaB in UK? I've been only to Lego store by Lego Discovery Centre in Manchester's Trafford Centre, but PaB is very poor there - just a few basic bricks, nothing to choose from. Unfortunately all the other Lego stores are in south-east I think.

1 point - Fatyankee's Abdullah and Ackbars bizarre fast food 1 point - greg3's Kaseem's Camel Dairy 1 point - greenskull139's Ali-karim and kosos' market shop
-
1 point - Fugazi's Persian Grocer 1 point - Sandy's Hippogrif Palace 1 point - brickzone's Camouflaged Den I also like MrTools' Modular Market Square, but I voted for the ones that kept the original purpose.
-
My voting considers the rule "It should look like a set that LEGO might actually produce." and how Persian does it look to me. If the former one wasn't there, there certainly would be points for lego-maniac and JopieK, but I don't think LEGO would ever produce their excellent work as sets. There should be another category for them: detailed MOC. 2 points - Mr palmtree's Sultan's Palace 1 point - Johnno's The Skeleton Merchant

Are you complaining about prices in UK? Here you go... Lego prices in Polish Zloty from S@H and shops in Poland: Medieval Market Village - price in GBP: £ 69.99 (334.27 PLN at the moment), price in PLN (Polish zloty) 499.95 PLN Trolls' Mountain Fortress - price in GBP: £ 74.99 (358.15 PLN), price in PLN: 539.95 PLN Battle Of Alamut - price in GBP: £ 69.99 (334.27 PLN), price in PLN: 399.95 PLN Quest Against Time - price in GBP: £ 39.99 (191 PLN), price in PLN: 279.95 PLN Green Grocer - price in GBP: £ 99.99 (477.56 PLN), price in PLN: 749.96 PLN Fire Brigade - price in GBP: £ 99.99 (477.56 PLN), price in PLN: 749.95 PLN Grand Emporium - price in GBP: £ 139.99 (668.60 PLN), price in PLN: 749.95 PLN Imperial Flagship - price in GBP: £ 139.99 (668.60 PLN), price in PLN: 749.95 PLN Typical wage in UK: £ 1000 - 1600 per month Typical wage in Poland: 1200 - 2000 PLN (£ 251 - 419) per month What do you say to that?! Any reasonable explanation? Is it the fault of greedy distributor and why TLG doesn't care? This is one of the reasons I'm afraid to go back home - I would never be able to buy Lego anymore.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
willy_poodle replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
For me series 1 is much better than series 2. In series 1 I HAD TO get: caveman, clown, indian, forestman and optionally cowboy I got all series except the robot and the former 3 I got 5 of each. I series 2 I only HAVE TO get: afro hair and MAYBE Mexican, Roman and Pharao. The rest are too ordinary and there are too many contemporary ones. Whaddya think? -

I think I should have added some chest or some other stuff for more details, but I was in a hurry. -
You can get them made by Raaco in Clas Ohlson. They also have nice flat cases for fishing or electronic parts or whatever and trays of inserts for them in different sizes, also by Raaco . The smallest ones are perfect for most minifigs and if you change order of the minifigs on a tray, you just swap the cubes instead of taking them all out. If you get jus inserts they are missing any cover, though.

I don't understand why official Lego boards are so heavily moderated. I know there are kids there, but come on... You're not allowed to write ANYTHING that's not just childish chat and especially any expectations or complaints. It's all cut out or dissaproved. What's the purpose of the boards then?

I have posted my creation. I was leaving it for later all the time, because I had to sort my bricks, at least the most useful colours, but finally made it in the last day. I know it's not the most detailed of the creations posted, but it was supposed to be set-like, so it is. Mr palmtree, I like your set based on classic POP game. I was thinking about making something in this style too. -

Draxes' Palace Travelling through the empire Dastan comes to the palace of Draxes, who according to gossips kidnaps the most beautiful girls from far parts of the empire and makes them his personal slaves. Is this the truth? Dastan has to find out and free them if it is. -

Nice entries everyone. But I have to point out a few things - Ostrich would jump over the fence in Masked Builder's stall - Some items are out of time and place. I guess some of them are intended to add some magic/time travel. Modern clothes, books, fez (the red cap) is to modern for ancient Persia. Ok, now I have to make something, but it's not easy now, when you've done everything already. -
If they've tried, I have no idea why they haven't got it. I suppose it's quite expensive, but it would sell extremely well. And if they haven't tried, then I have no clue why as well. I'm sure it would sell at least as good as Star Wars. Does anyone have any information about it?

Thx for info, brickzone. Unfortunately they don't have any store in my area.
