  1. I have to say I am not impressed. This should not replace Agents. The vehilces do not look very well designed. Its like Hot Wheels meets lego. They are probably going for the 5-11 year old boy demographic. As others have said, there are a few interesting torsos but other than that, not much. These are all a non-purchase for me. diggity.
  2. I could see the old man now as he hands Bobby his air tank. "No.. really Bobby... if you rub that giant shark right under his left forward fin, he will go completely relaxed. And then he will be your friend for life!".
  3. Do you mean a return in 2011? Agents WILL come back eventually, possibly not in the same flavor, but the "Secret Agent" theme has been a theme that Lego has been doing for some time. Remember Alpha Team, then Alpha Team: Mission Deep Freeze, and then Alhpa Team: Mission Deep Sea? The agents even had some of the same names as the Agents and Agents 2.0 sets. (Just like Atlantis is a continuation of the Many Aquazone/Aquaraiders sets). I do like the more James-Bond-Austin-Powers tounge in cheek of the newer Agents sets. I think it would be AWSOME to have some more sets, but for now I have to just enjoy the ones I have. I will say that among my kids, the Agents sets get more time than the Lego Star Wars, which is probably not typical. They are certainly well loved.
  4. This set does not do it for me. I think the playabilty of this set could have been DRASTICALLY increased with just a little cost. If they had widened the main ship hull by about 4 studs (two per side), that would have made the internal science area 6 studs wide, isntead of 4 studs wide. Seriously, this needs to happen. You can barely squeeze the minifigs in there, and thats just wrong. This sub could have been fantastic, but I think that TLG went high on design, rather than playabilty. Yeah it looks good, but its really too small a scale for what it represents. If I ever find these on sale, I may buy one and the MOC Mod it to be wider. The more that I look at the Atlantis sets, the more I think that the minifigs are nicer, but the sets themselves dont hold up to the old Aquazone sets.
  5. Was the red Octupus guy in 8061 available in any other set, like an impulse buy? For some reason I keep thinking I saw him in one, but I could be blending memories. Also i really want to get a better picture of that Underwater base, and the price point. I need to decide if its going to be worth picking up one (or two) or I should just buy the parts and MOC my own.
  6. Dear Fellow Eurobrickers. I was unable to see the program when it aired due to a bit of a work emergency. Work before pleasure when your the sole bread winner. I have searched all around the internet trying to find out if it is comming on again, OR, if there is some other *ahem* way of obtaining the video to watch it. If some kind AFOL here on eurobricks could Private Message me I would deeply appreciate it. Diggity
  7. Today I did my first Pick a Brick wall. I was well armed after reading the instructions on many sites, including the ones squirreld away on lego's own site. When I went into the store. They have a nice brickwall where I live, 12 bins wide and 8 bins tall, though the top 2 really have repeats from the bottom stuff. I told the Lego people that this was my first cup. The friendly lego staffers said "This is going to be a fun time for you. Take as much time as you want to stuff as much as you can into the cup. We will help with some tecniques if you need them". Mighty sporting of them I thought. So they had a large bin of 1x4 medium grey bricks. A Castle Builder's dream. That was my main target, as the Agents need a new base. However, they also had 1x4s and 1x2s in Power Miner Lime Green. So I knew I had to pick some of those up for the kids. My basic premis was this: in the bottom moat of the cup, put 1x2 bricks in. About 18 fit, fill in with plates. Then, snap together sections of 1x2. lay them side by side, so the holes line up vertically to one side of the cup, and see how many you can fit in one layer. I would do a layer, and then fill in with "filler", mostly transparent 1x1 plates (square or round). Once that was done, I did another layer. The only layer I had troube with was with the 1x2x2 transparent windows. THere was no way to get these in flat, since they are not solid, I bulit lenghts, as before, and then nestled each pair of lenghs inside each other. I created a whole level of these, and then shook more 1x1 rounds into them. this filled up all the airspace! Here is my total haul. 38 1x4 Lime Green 66 1x2 Lime Green 47 1x2x2 Transparent Clear Window elements 172 1x4 Grey 18 1x2 Brown -> should have done these in lime green, but saw the brown first. 66 1x1 flat round plates, transparent yellow 41 1x1 flat round plates, transparent blue 26 1x1 flat round plates, transparent orange 75 1x1 flat square plates, transparent green 36 1x1 flat square plates, transparent red 31 1x1 small nosecones, transparent yellow 13 1x2 flat radiator grill, transparent red 05 1x2 flat radiator grill, white 09 1x3 flat tile w/ dials and 82 on it "No. 101" 10 minifig heads, assorted 05 female hair, long *rare red color like in set 8970*. 04 Steering wheels. Now the lady was nice here. I asked her if i could include a few minifig parts. she said "show me what you want to put in." I showed her the heads and the hair, and she said. "Thats fine but no more, you cant fill a cup up with figures". Now for giggles, I put this all linto the Pick a Brick online. 674 pieces. The total if I bought it online $91.88 USD! Not bad for $15.00 USD Im very happy with my haul. I have greys for wall building, Windows, and a lot of colored bits for electronics, weapons, etc. I dont possilby see how I could have gotten more in the cup. Score one for the cheapos!
  8. Unfortunately, thats where I was leaning myself. Not trying to lead anyone on anywhere, just confirming my suspicions. Frankly, Id love to have 2010 Agents sets, but I think we would have heard something by now. Thanks to everyone. Diggity

Anyone in the know can you add any confirmation to the set list above? With so many leaks of the summer Star Wars sets, im surprised that if there were new agent sets comming out that we have not heard of them yet.
  10. No sir, I was not aware. The Etomology of the Decal Maker's lifecycle is a new set of study for me. If you have any information about their mating habits..er... well.. lets skip those ok? Great thanks to you for the Mr. Freeze head. Very much appreciated. Perhaps I could entice Captian Kirk to do the Ivy Torso. Thanks again, Diggity.
  11. Mnifig Decal Request. I realize response may be slow, since there have not been any decal makers posting since the 7th of November. I may try my hand at some of these myself if i can figure out how to paint without the jaggies. I need a Mr. Freeze Head Decal, please. I also need A Poison Ivey Torso decal, but I need it in YELLOW instead of flesh, ( I asume you could do both easy with a paint swap) Any help would be greatly appreciated. THank you. Diggity
  12. THanks, Kirk does do some incredible work, thanks for showing those to me. I will reach out to him in his thread about Harley Qinn, and Poision Ivey. With Kirks work updated in the Index, that would be fantastic. Thanks, Diggitydug As of now, there seems to be no decals for Bane Harley Quinn Poision Ivey Robin (actual Lego Version)
  13. Hey all, I looked through the Licenced Decal Index, and found some of what I am looking for. (Like a batman toro, batgirl torso, and a nighwing torso, and nightwing mask, and the dick grason Robin I can use) however There are a few decals that I want to make. 1) A Poison Ivey face and torso (I want yellow instead of flesh, but I can re-color a flesh one) 2) Mr Freeze head 3) Harlequin Head 4) Joker Torso (Like the lego version, not from the TDK movie) 5) A Robin head / mask. The search engine is not really good here, and your limited in the amount of detail you can use to refine your search. Can anyone direct me to these anywhere? If not, i can try and design my own. Thanks, Diggity
  14. Some brilliant ideas guys. You are all obviously old pros at this. thanks for the heads up. I agree, I have got it bad. I just purchased my first Lego set for ME ever.. the Agents Command Center Truck. Im going to wrap it up for myself and put it under the tree for christmas. Im very excited about it.
  15. They had 4 boxes of these at my local Toys R Us. Each box had about 100 keychains in it. I was able to get about 12 keychains by going in and out of the store over the next few days. The Lego lady would literally give you one every time you walked past her. As of yesterday they still had two boxes left sitting open on the counter in customer service. Im going to pop the keychains off the top, remove the heads, and make robots out of them! Lego Robot Santa Army for the win!
  16. Hello all, About a month ago, I was working on Cragislist (an independent classified add site here in the US). A lady was advertizing for 3 large ziplock bags full of legos for $60. My kids have just gotten out of playmobil and have moved on to legos. As one medium sized set in the US can cost $60, I thought three freezer bags of legos was a decent deal. I emailed her and we agreed to meet. When we met, these were not the 2-quart freezer style bags, they were the lage 30-quart storage bags. THREE of them. IT clocked into about 60lbs of lego! I quickly gave her the money and then left. When I got home with my mega-haul, my wife said "Thats too much lego! the kids will never find everything in there". So I spent three nights going through the bags, picking out the really good pieces, and moving all the simple pieces (old style primary color 2x4s) to another bag. I was able to cull the collection by about a third, finding the pieces I kept were a collection of Castle (Vlads fortress and good guy stuff), Exo-Squad, some of the yellow underwater sets, dinosaur, and a bunch of other stuff. These parts facinated me! We never had a lot of money as a kid, and I had only a handful of sets, including my covetetd Galaxy Explorer. All the new cockpits and wings and engines and other bits went into my bag. When I was done, I took the bag of booring bits, and sold it to a neighbor for... $60.00! Effectively getting all my legos for free. But now IM hooked! Ive been on bricklink getting some armor for those poor knights, and some missing sword... oh and Ill need a dragon, and wow those parts look keen! Its bad. I feel like im 10 years old again, only this time *I* control the money. I have a feeling were going to get back the sold volume of legos probably by christmas. So thats my introduction, here are my questions: 1) My kids have been into Lego Batman the video game. These sets are completely out of my price range. Are these sets ever going to come out again> 2) How do other people store their bulk lego for thier kids to play with? Can you buy storage play mats or someting? 3) Any good ideas for sneaking large bits of lego into the house past the wife? Thanks, Diggity
  17. Best: Agents 8970. For the person who loved the crystal king, think of this madman's mech as a giant crystal king you can put a minifing isnide and drive it around! Burn my helpless minifig minons! Worst: Temple of doom. for 90 you get a rickety half rolercoster with limited playability? yeah, i can see kids keeping this one together for a while. NOT.
  18. With three children under the age of 9, I can barely keep my sets together for a week without someone sneaking into my room and taking them off my shelf. "Look dady! I made it better!"
  19. Gizmondo did a story about a trip to the lego factory last year that was really cool. What impressed me the most is that all these sets seemed to be put together by massive computer automation and robots. You would think with all that technology they would get their part count right, or at least have a set done by weight. I known the scale at the supermarket it precice enough to tell if i had a greeting card or not on it, they could make a scale that could tell if a set was correct or not. but what really boggles my mind, is how does that WRONG piece get in there? If the machine is running bins of black 1x2s and 2x4s and 1x6s where the heck does that white 1x3 come from? The block fairy?
