  1. Very cool! My family is from Aurora, IL, any chance this is still on display in St. Charles (or anywhere surrounding)?
  2. Hey all, Last week while I was browsing US SaH I noticed the Eiffel Tower (10181) was on sale for $149. With free shipping on top of that, I figured it was a pretty good deal and snagged one up. Not to mention the largest piece count set I've ever owned before this was the Creator House. Checking SaH's site again today, it seems they've pulled the Eiffel Tower sale page down; I can't find any record of it. Considering the last topic about this set was over 2 years ago, I'm curious if anyone has any information on the future of it.
  3. That's great to hear! I've heard from a few reviews that the build can get rather repetitive and boring. I figured at the very least it was a cheap source of 3000 similarly colored pieces for a MOC.
  4. Hi there, I recently (within the last year) got back into Lego in a big way. I grew up with Lego between 92-98, a fantastic time for the little bricks. I would call it the golden age of Lego, but I suppose if someone grew up in the 80s with Lego they would be apt to call that the golden age About 6 months ago I finally got my old rubbermaid tub of Lego sorted and into much more organized tackle boxes. I would love to get them further sorted by color, but as I live in an apartment I just don't have the room for that kind of organization and storage. Some day. A few weeks ago I started rebuilding the few old sets I still had, making sure they were 100%, then getting them into storage bags instead of just throwing them in the boxes. I got rid of a lot of my old sets, which looking back is a damn shame, but I kept some of the gems. I still have the Sail n Fly Marina (6543), Shuttle Launch Pad (6339) and Metro Station (4554). Looking back, I'm kicking myself for getting rid of some true classics, like Fort Legoredo (6762) and Royal Knight Castle (6090). So that's my background story, I found this site while searching for reviews of the Eiffel Tower, as I just bought it on sale from Lego Shop online. Not sure how long it will be on sale, but it's $150 in the US right now, with free shipping. I couldn't pass it up, it will be the biggest set I've ever had, by more than triple the piece count. I look forward in joining in some wonderful discussions, as I rebuild both my passion and collection of Lego.
