I wasn't planning to pick this one up, but after your excellent review I'm really tempted to buy it & see what can be done about trollifying the fortress further.. Spectacular, xplmy, really well done! Your paperwork (hehe) is quite ingenious, but the diorama as a whole stands on its own legs. Beautifully crafted figs & scenery! I especially like the armour-bat-pillar-thing, really cleverly done. Again, excellent work!

An absolutely marvelous creation, Brickzone! I'm mightily impressed by how planned-out the end result seems, what with all the opening walls and such, even though you didn't have the blueprint down whle you were building! It must have been very interesting, seeing the castle take shape as you went along.. Yup, there is a certain "it" to Craghold Castle that I haven't felt in a Moc for quite some time. Maybe it has to do with that the build seems "doable" - more often than not, when looking at the fabulous creations of the professionals with huge LEGO stockpiles, it just somehow doesn't feel like a LEGO build. They are, of course, but it's not something I could put together in this lifetime, since I only have a quarter of their skill and a hundredth of their brick stash. Thus it doesn't really seem connected at all to what I'm doing when fooling around with my meagre bricks, late at night when no one is awake to berate me for it. Your castle, on the other hand, is - to me - not about such steamrolling overwhelmingness, but more of the hobbyish happy toil. Normal castle wall pieces, studs where they're supposed to be - Craghold seems built purely by a brilliant imagination and a deep love of the brick. I haven't felt so inspired in forever! A totally adorable castle, Brickzone, congratulations and thanx for sharing!

As has been said in the other thread, the price seems perfectly reasonable for what you get. It's a lot of money, sure, but you get just as much lego per buck as with normal sets, perhaps even slightly more. I really don't get the reasoning that LEGO "killed" this set with the pricetag - it's in line with what prices have always been! The previous speculation that the tag might read $150 was quite silly to begin with (sorry :-$). So, perfectly reasonable price, with the exception for Canada - Blue&white, I truly feel for you! Normally we Swedes get robbed; our prices are usually the same figure as the american plus a zero, which means an increase of about 35%. Thus i expected the Swedish tag to read SEK 3000, but surprisingly it's 2200, meaning we pay about the same as the americans! And free shipping! I'm placing my preorder right now. *sweet*

Your Technicoedia is truly marvellous, Erich! Thanx a lot for your time and effort! I spent hours upon hours in there digesting what you've written so far, rediscovering lots of childhood loves. Good thing you're not done yet, or I would still be lost in there... :-)

Star Wars rifles? Right, sorry. :) I would very much like to see IJ in LEGO form! But, as most of you guys around here, the return of JT would be even more appreciated.
