How many meet-ups do you have?! Very nice Disney collection.
-
I doubt that's much of a problem. I've started removing a few of the pieces from the LUDO set, and there's no evidence suggesting that a chemical reaction has taken place.

That is one cool vig! ... This was a triumph... I'm making a note here, huge success...

Agreed. Thanks for the early (and great) review! Quite a few new elements in this one. They probably had so many of the "unnecessary" new elements in the set just to break them in. The 2x4 tile seems interesting, it would save a lot of time and money on SNOT work. Although it doesn't seem to be as smooth as the regular tiles.

I've never seen any red-and-white cement trucks here in Sweden, but the shape is just... Superb. In conclusion, I'd say this is a very well executed construction site!

Looks very cool. The two level aspect really adds to already awesome MOC. Great work!

Wait, I thought the Grand Carousel was a MOC that TLC liked so much that they had it mass-produced? Anyway, I am loving this thread!

Dr. Inferno's Cargo Train of DOOM!
Topsy Cret replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wow, that is... Really freaking awesome. Not much else to say about it really. How about a wagon just for Dr. Inferno? He could have a desk, some sort of prison... And of course an escape jet. -
Most impressive! I'd been wondering where you got that avatar photo from...

Whoa! It would seem that I've been sitting on a few $100s worth of unusual Technic pieces. Anyone interested in air pumpers and air tanks?

I couldn't find a thread about this, so I though I'd make one. The set LEGO Ludo 851857 (review can be found here) comes with a LEGO board that is entirely glued together. I was wondering if anyone had a good technique for disassembling any glued LEGO sets without accidentally damaging the baseplate. Thanks for your help.

Wonderful review, Svelte! I didn't actually expect City Corner to be that good of a set-it seems I was proved wrong! Also, isn't that a new shade of 1x1 plate on the back of the bus?

It is a store/marketplace offering a wide variety of goods. I only have the first two buildings that were released, so it looks like I'll have a lot of catching up to do! With the way that the modular sets seem to be improving set by set, I am very anxious to see this one. Why can't LEGO give everyone a one year break so we can restock our wallets?!

New LEGO Indiana Jones Armor Case for Nintendo DS
Topsy Cret replied to squidman85's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hmm... I must admit, I had the same idea for using the tiles as a billboard. If I really can't think of anything to buy, I might get both of them. -
The Pirates and the NXTfied Theater (by NeXTSTORM)
Topsy Cret replied to Capt. Kirk's topic in LEGO Pirates
You guys should hang around YouTube more often, I saw this months ago. Yeah, I know that was bragging, but meh. Still though, it is very impressive even after you've seen it a few times. -
I know I once made a simple woods landscape in snow. Unfortunately, I never took pictures of it-but I can assure you that it wasn't as good as the ones featured here!

I'm pretty sure that's mustache. Either way, that restaurant can't have that many stars if they let their cook have that much facial hair.
-
Ur... Isn't this old news? I heard about this a few months back. Anyway, even though I have a DS, I doubt I'll buy this. There's a slight chance I'll get it for the tiles, but that's it.

MOC: The Lindbergh Special "The Train That Raced A Plane"
Topsy Cret replied to Cale's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Wow! I love it. Nice snip of history to go along with it, too. -
Very nice review, Brickster! Unfortunately, this was one of those sets that I never ended up getting. I agree, a newer model is just what the doctor ordered!

I'm in a bragging kind of mood so here I go: you should you see it in the flesh! I've been and watched the whole thing twice (I only went to Hamburg the first time cause I knew they had a LEGO Brand store there ). The thing is MASSIVE. The place has installations depicting famous cities, countries or just plain famous things. I'd definitely recommend trying to go see it (a word of caution though, you must be there just as they open, seeing as how the place gets crowded in half an hour). Onto the actual topic, real water in any LEGO layout is impressive. Though to really give that wow factor-I'd have a stream or waterfall. A slow-moving river or lake just wouldn't cut it for me-you may as well just use transparent plastic. For a waterfall, pumping is definitely not a problem (just get a hold of the Technic pneumatics, tanks and other related things that were released in the mid-90s sets). Leakage is. I would probably make three (magic number! ) one-stud layers of wall, then have some sort container around the outside of the wall. This container would have various "suckers" to pump back any water that got away. Obviously, this would have to remain invisible to the public eye, but meh. Although moving on to something else - how about water IN trains, or a working water tower? The list goes on.

Ooh... Thinking of the future. The coolest thing that TLC could release for the train line (in my opinion) would definitely be a train crossing. And it wouldn't be some flimsy baseplate with just two red-and-white bars on it. No... It would be a large grand baseplate, with at least two buildings (preferably one being a small train shed), and the gates would be motorized! Seriously, that would be some awesome ****. Although for something smaller, I'd hope for a collection of train signalers. Well, here's hoping!

MOC: Swedish state railways RC class engines
Topsy Cret replied to Selander's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Wow. The photo of the blue and red train was taken about two kilometers from my Legoratory. I love those trains. Nice MOC, too. How about X2000 as the next one? -
Video of Lego Buddhist Temple In Pop-Up Book
Topsy Cret replied to RepublicForces's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ur.... Wow? Seriously, that is very impressive. A perfect example proving that the LEGO medium can accomplish anything. Masterful. Although you say "LEGO set"-do you mean an official set due to be released by TLC?
