Good evening, I found this site with this excellent content is in Spanish but it's easy to understand: http://www.nxtorm.es/digitales/sd-c-software.html Would it be possible to connect the card with the NXT directly through this block or that would be in the same C with RobotC? Weavil But if I send the data by putting the address and the reg, is that the board would not identify which servo'm wondering trigger? Thanks

Well I already started the valves, they were very small, I'm using a 9G servo. https://onedrive.liv...4335465F701!883 Now I just need to keep studying a little to put them under the control of NXT. I'll try to connect the PCA9685 directly to the NXT via I2C control , do not know if it'll work, but I think it goes Thanks for all the help

Our thanks that's amazing , I'll buy a arduino in order to use it. But it would be possible to connect it directly to the NXT by I2C? Thanks

Good night everyone, :classic: I wonder if the possibility of connecting this board to the NXT or EV3 :https://learn.adafruit.com/16-channel-pwm-servo-driver/overview A datasheet: http://www.adafruit.com/datasheets/PCA9685.pdf How can that be done? Anyone know of any books or recommend a site where I can study about it? Should I use to trigger 9g servos to operate the pneumatic valves remotely. Sorry for the poor English Thank you.

Good evening everyone, I'm trying to use the compass GY-271 in my LEGO NXT but I can not. Anyone know how I can use it, I tried putting a 82K resistors as PullUp, but still did not get any result, anyone have any idea how to use it? Follows a link with her data: http://www.tinkbox.p...NIC_COMPASS.pdf Thank you all :D

Hi, if you need to pass a cable or hose from a static to a rotating surface, the best way is a slip ring, whether electrical, mechanical, HYD or FO. When I was riding my ROV had to use 2, one in the cage for theter and in the umbilical winch, follows a picture of the cage and slipring video running in the first test system has a signal loss but to the improving quality and making it easy. https://www.flickr.com/photos/118485053@N02/sets/72157641410773064/ There is another way of winding and unwinding a cable without the use of slipring, it is used in a satellite SEAMAXX ROV works somewhat like an inverted drum, the cable is played inside the drum and pulley is holding tension the tether.

Pressure Control Valve
NORAN replied to NORAN's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you all. Yes it can function as a check valve allowing passage only in one direction, and may even regulate a certain pressure it to operate as a true value. The pressure is given it is activated by spring force, then cutting some coils of the spring you can regulate the pressure. The two connections of the valve can be used, so if you want you can use the pressure valve output to trigger something if you want. Now I'm working on a valve limiting flow to allow the actuators to be slower allowing more precise movements without loss of strength. -
Pressure Control Valve
NORAN replied to NORAN's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks :) As I have no pressure gauge, I put the setpoint for a bit below the point limit of the pump. But cutting the spring at different points you can adjust to any pressure you want -
Good morning guys, Today I built a Pressure Control Valve, it is very simple to be taken is almost entirely of LEGO, unless the spring is pen. Well it is mounted in the pressure line, the spring can be cut to adjust the time of its opening. Blue O-Ring is a small piece of hose. Thus it regulates the maximum pressure of the system and increases the useful life of the pump and not force the engine. Below some pictures and a video which can be seen the difference in sound with and without the pump connected to valve by the pressure line. Grateful, apologize for English.

Lego Hydraulics

Guys, why not make a four-way valve, such as pneumatic like? would be a disc with two grooves "Sulcos" and he would switch to rotate the A B entries with P R. Sorry for English and for drawing. -
NXT problem (keeps beeping)
NORAN replied to NORAN's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ok sorry for bad English, I'm using a translator but I will relate What did happen at and what I had to do to solve the problem. Downloaded LabView for NXT, in order to create more elaborate programs for the NXT, but it connects to the labview asked to update the firmware on nxt then left updating for over 2 hours and did not stop the beeps then canceled the update and computer stopped recognizing it. then could no longer access it either by labview or by MINDSTORMSNXTsoftware. So to solve, I used another computer installed MINDSTORMSNXT it, called the nxt to the computer via USB, I started MINDSTORMSNXT, pressed the reset button on the NXT (below the USB conection) for 5 seconds and clicked update fimware, and ready he updated and started functioning normally: D -

So for those who do have this same problem: Just change the computer press reset for 5 segunds and update the firmware :D -

NORAN replied to NORAN's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The computer does not recognize it and the display is all white, and with the sound of beeps, tried anyway just download but there is no connection When changing port on pc appeared this information: Bossa ProgramamPort (COM7) -
NXT problem (keeps beeping)
NORAN replied to NORAN's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I pulled the battery waited for more than 1 hour, put them back, pressed the reset it with a paper clip for 5 seconds, but he keeps on doing the beeps and the program does not recognize it. : ( -
Hi guys, today I was using LabView for NXT 2.0, then he asked to update the firmware, then give it started making a beep every second, I left him there connected by more than 1 hour but not stop the beep, I tried to reset but that did not work, what do I do now? any suggestions? because I don't have conditions to buy another one right now. thank you and sorry for my poor english.

I think this can help: http://www.meccanotec.com/hydraulics.htm -
Thank you guys, now I'll see if i could write a program to execute the commands. Regarding use 2 NXTs, is a bit unfeasible 'cause here in Brazil it is very expensive, and with the arriving of EV3, I am in doubt which one to buy. Do you have any suggestions on what I should buy, the EV3 or NXT?

PF's really not very accurate, but if you have a constant supply, other than batteries, (I'm working on a direct source of power network), you can adjust the time in the program in milliseconds making it very precise. :) and sorry for my bad english;)

Good staff, there it is another MOC. This is a FMC based master controller, it is used to control a manipulator (slave arm). I've used 1 NXT, 3 PF receptor, 4 PF motors and one servo PF. The NXT to PF comunication was made using a IRLINK sensor, from HiTechnic. Its accuracy will always depend of the PF batteries, because we used a time variable of the positioning of the manipulator since it does not have the feedback, so if you have constant power, the calibration will be easy and very accurate. The display of the NXT is also possible to see all the variations that will be performed. The program has been made right on the NXT software, and used a system similar to Token Ring to store and run the values of variations. I hope you enjoy
