  1. Thanks to all for the warm welcome! I'm glad you liked the blog
  2. Hi everyone! My name is Guilherme Santos aka gads and I'm following Eurobricks for some time, in fact for several years History bricks is my brand new blog that presents LEGO creations related in someway with Human history. It might be interesting to members of Eurobricks since medieval and pirate ages are two of the main topics discussed in the blog. I hope you like it! http://www.historybricks.com
  3. Thank you all for your kind replies :-D I'm glad you have enjoyed them. I've a third, but stills a work in progress. I didn't have time to finish it before the competition's deadline. Perhaps this weekend I'll end it :-)
  4. I forgot to say. The red building, was inspired in a real power plant. The old Lisbon Power Plant transformed into an Electricity Museum :-)
  5. Thanks! :-) I used the string that came with this boat 4011
  6. B-M-1E & B-M-2A I would like to present my two latest MOCs that I have submitted to a contest organized by PLUG :-D The rules of the competition were simple. The theme of the contest was "Industry" and we had a size limitation of 16 x 32 studs. This is my first experience building in micro scale. I really enjoyed the challenge of building tiny little things. Sometimes it's hard finding a good solution to represent small details. I hope you enjoy ;-) Power Plant http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/52822 Construction Yard http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/52824
  7. Sorry for reviving this old topic again. But I'm also interested in getting a RSS feed URL :-) I've tried to find it by myself but without success...
  8. Mine is 6225 - Portugal :-D
  9. hahahahahah! Great vignette :D I only saw this episode today, and this vignette became the cherry on the top of the cake!!! :D

    Bugio's tower

B-OV-6D Hello people! Here it is. My newest MOC X-D This construction was based on a lighthouse named "Forte de So Loureno" (aka "Bugio's tower), located at the end of Tagus river where it meets the Atlantic Ocean (Lisbon - Portugal). http://picasaweb.google.com/guilherme.m.santos/TorreDoBugio (google photo gallery). Here's the real one. It was the first time I have built "rounded walls", and I found out that it's much more complicated building such walls, than it look at first sight... Finding the correct sizes and "roundiness" to plug all pieces together turned a simple task into a "nightmare"... but it was what gave all the fun :-D I hope you like it, and suggestions are welcome ;) Cheers!
  12. Indeed :-( I must replace them with a new ones! Thanks for the great comments :-D
  13. Finally, I finished one more "dust proof shelf" :-D To celebrate I built a small layout with my old adventurers sets. I hope you like it :-) Click on the image to zoom in. I added more info (such as the sets I used) on a small article published on my homepage: <click here>

    Gothica

Wow. I really like your model *wub* The overall design, the color scheme, the details are perfect X-D You have done a great job attaching the smaller ships to the mother ship. Well done! *y*
  15. Excellent idea! It never cross my mind doing something like this. Well Done!!! *y* Both the representations are very good, with nice details. If I had to choose one, I think I would pick
  16. I agree, in the past few years both sets are the better castles :) I have chosen 10176 for two reasons. First, it reminds me a bit the classic sets. Second, I don’t like the 8877 multi-colored soldiers… they remind me some sort of power-rangers with big swords :-/
  17. Congrats for the good work! *y* I saw this castle yesterday on brickshelf and I loved it *wub* It reminds me the sets 6085 and 6086. All that minifigs inside the castle brings it to life. I really like the main entrance with the bridge, that iron chains and the dragon
  18. Thanks for the tips. I'll take them in acount ;-)
  19. Yeah!!! I tested the base structure before I built the digital model, and it worked fine :-) The trigger system... I'm still workking on that Thanks X-D

    Favorite Airport

I like very much of 6392! Maybe, because it's the only one I have :-P Speaking more serious, I like all. Each one have their special features. The 7892 have the better plane, and the 6597 have the better helicopter (and problably the better building). But I like the classic style, so I choose the 6392 :)
  25. Yeah, that's one of my favorites too :-) I built that base when I had 14 years old (I think). Another creation I had, was a lighthouse built on the rocks with a secret military cave! Unfortunately I don't have pictures of this :'-( Now I'm working on one of my country's castle :-D
