I would've asked KimT before posting this if the base is 17x17, nevertheless this is pretty awesome, not exactly epic, but nevertheless awesome, I love the scene and the architecture on the back, the band is pretty good too, If this does get disqualified, just remove the base and I'm sure it will be fine.

The Penguin's Batman Minifigures. )
sok117 replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Nice Job Penguin, I tried making my own prometheus whil remainning pure, I can tell you he didn't turn out as well as yours though. Your ninja guy looks pretty cool too, I don't know himbut I think hes from the dojo where Bruce goes to train in china or japan, when hes just starting as batman. Calender man is perhaps my favourite of the bunch, although you said he was based on three different versions, It looks as though he just looks like the sketch from Arkham Asylum, nevertheless awesome, just though I'd point that out. Can't wait for another update, although I think your running out of gothamites to immortalize in plastic -
Wow, nice commercial, definatley gives me hope for next year. I liked Brick Daddy's laugh and Jawson right at the end.

I wish Draco was in more sets though, him along with Luna, I personally don't see fans getting the Hogwarts Express if they don't have any tracks to put it on, If it at least came with a circle I might have looked into getting it.

Well after I picked my jaw up off the floor, I had some time to really look closely at all these pics and I can say without a doubt that an epic creation such as this one comes along maybe once or twice in a lifetime, This scene is sooooo awesome, I love every thing about it, the monorail, the duplo ball, the aliens, the rover, the tracks, the river, all the little details, the power functions, the architecture, and all the scraps and containers just to name a few. This Is very Epic and well deserving of a frontpage because I feel the whole EB community needs to see this, but I'm not a mod, sorry. I could spend days admiring and playing with this moc, (and I'm well into my teens, so thats saying something). Once again, this scene is awesome, it reminds me of a cross between fallout, star wars and doctor who for some reason. I could spend a good three more hours going into detail about all the things I like but I feel as though I need to see a psychiatrist because this thing just blew my mind.

I think that was to better associate him with slytherin and the serpent, Although I do a green that black wood look better, I'm thankful for those lovely green robes, once i get the fig in person, If i don't like the green, I can just swap it out for a sith torso, which I'm sure many of you already have.
-
Yeah he does, The Slytherin Quiditch players also sport the same cape. It's really quite amazing.

I've been working on several characters, Colin Creevy Hair: Standard male Blond Hair, a.k.a Luke Skywalker Episode 6 Hair Head: Short Round Torso: Gryfindor Torso Legs: Black Legs Accessories: Camera and brown wand Cedric Diggory Hair: Mutt Williams Brown Hair Head: New Rebel Pattlepack Hoth trooper Head Torso: This was tricky, you can eather use the Hogwarts torso with the black hogwarts crest, or you can use a yellow torso, and sharpie half of it black with sleeves according, I've done it this way and it looks pretty good Legs: Black Legs Accessories: Blond wand I'll post pics later.

Right, Draco always seems to come into their cabin in every book, so it does get rather confusing, does anyone think that voldemorts face looks a little to lego-ish, I mean it's not very menacing. I think it's the smile

Forgive me for my insolence, but what happened to the review index? I can't find it

one word- Adorable I love the cute look on his face. 100% awesome maxifig "evildead"

WOW, that things a beast (compliment) All the fire power, and different angles, really true to a crab, I also like the non symmetry effect that really goes well with star wars creations, The boosters and the cockpit also look really nice too. This is a real professional moc and there is not one part of it that I don't like.

These sets seem to combine aspects of all the movies thus far into one, examples being the Ford Angila with the train (from the second)along with Luna Lovegood (from the fifth) and Draco with the invisibility cloak (from the third I think) That said, I wonder if Lucious will have a double-sided head with a death-eater mask on the other side, It could be possible, I mean no-one noticed that anakin had a double sided head in the freeco-speeder untill we got some reviews, what do you guys think, and more so, do you think there is anything else hiding within these images?

Thats downright adoralbe, I love it, but have you ever considered using decals? I think it would look great, but you would have to apply them covering more then one piece
-
No disrespect but your entry is really less then satisfactory, I'm no Lego expert, or that great of a builder myself, but really it just looks like a base with a load of minifigures positioned in cool fighting poses, there are some nice shrubs, but there is nothing that really makes it stand out, If you have the time, I would consider revisiting this and perhaps choosing a different scene, because I know Kashyyk is quite barren if your doing a swamp, though it may be realistic to the scene your trying to do, It's not very standout-ish. I hope this could be of some help

Does anyone know or think that there would be another year of SP III sets? I know who the story had been exhausted, but maybe they could move onto a different gang or something, maybe robots perhaps? or expand on Blacktron with wrench, or insectoids with Craniac. I think there is still a lot of potential left in the theme, and I feel as though we were kind of cheated with the lack of 2010 sets, even though the lunar Limo was pretty awesome.

How about a nice Eurobricks Stromtrooper? Your car is really nicely done, very classy and fast and a great representation of this wonderful website. Congrats

Oh boy, I have indeed been looking forward to this 1) What is your experience with mafia games, here and elsewhere? Well the only real mafia game I've played online was the recent Dystopia Mafia hosted by Ricecraker and Jim Butcher which I managed to survive until the very end without dying, until things went out of control and the game needed to be ended. That said, I have played Mafia before in real life, at camp and with my local church group 2-3 years ago, though there weren't many themes, and the games were rather simple, I have enjoyed it nonetheless. 2) What is your relationship with the Harry Potter -franchise? Well, I'm currently re-reading the books, and oddly to say this time through is my first time reading the first book. I saw the first movie first, then was captured by the magic, and sprang to read the second and so on. But with the recent announcement of new sets, I decided to dig into the archives and find a copy of the first book to read, after which I couldn't help but reading them all again. I've seen the movies all on the second day of them being out. And I have been lucky enough to acquire most of the Harry Potter sets past. Also oddly enough, I have been lucky enough to get the two Comic Relief books which I found most entertaining, Quiditch through the ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them. All and all I have really enjoyed the magic behind the Harry Potter Franchise and hope to take part in this exciting and In-depth game, whether I be watching it or playing along. P.S. sorry about killing you in Dystopia Mafia, it was an accident and I hope you don't exclude me because of that

I just saw Get Him to the Greek, it was hilarious, it was the same kind of humour as the Hangover, which I enjoted to the fullest, if you like that sort of comedy, this is definatley the movie for you.

I was waiting to respond once I put up more pictures, but I just felt I had to say that this really exhausted my collection of Tan bricks, I don't think that I can really make it bigger, and I'm already cooking something up for my medium entry, so I think I'll leave it as it is, Though it is kind of hard to see in this one pic, I can't believe no one saw that I used Indiana Jones whips as the tentacles grabbing onto the Sarlaccs victims, I thought that that was bound to get some recognition, oh well.

I played the demo as well, that was Macnair?!? I was calling him the masked wizard. I've compiled a list of how I saw the game. Pros Playing as the animals (I loved scabbers) wide assortment of spells unique characters funny videos Cons to linear no minikits can't destroy a lot of lego-built objects free-form building, it's fun, but sometimes it can be really frustrating spell aiming They didn't provide a good tutorial, so you had to figure a lot of stuff out on your own All in all, it was okay, as our all Lego games, I might get it when it goes on sale, or clearence, or used, or I might just rent it.

The Penguin's Castle Minifigures..... )
sok117 replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
ohh, I like how you painted the inside of the wizards hood so it still looks like he has hair, thats a problem that I've always had with lego hoods, they just make everyone look bald. Your knights are pretty good to, can't wait for more. -
There is nothig that I can really say that hasn't already been said before. Is the Gamma Gun the green gun the Trooper is holding on the rafters? If so, thats pretty cool. It reminds me of the episode in the clone wars were the droids made the weapon that would only harm bio-logical organisims. Awesome moc, and I hope you get around to entering the Epic Scenes contest. Cheers- Sok117

I've been working on this for a while, I've only got one picture up now due to time constraints but I will add more views of it later, they are already taken, just need to upload. I just thought I'd post it to give you guys an Idea of my MOC. Just to let you know, Boba Fett and the Skiff are connected by clear tube pieces, but I just photoshoped the first image, It's also my first time photoshoping, so be nice. There is also a bit of an underside with the stomach of the sarlaac, but you guys will see that tomorrow. Here you go

Showdown at Maryx Minor (updated version)
sok117 replied to RepublicForces's topic in Watto's Junkyard
All of Vader's limbs are robotic, and his ability to use the force is severely crippled, He can't use sith lightning.
