I guess my accusation towards Loki was rather il-timed, but If we don't make accusations we will never get much done, I'm still awaiting a response from Loki, where is he by the way? I have my suspicions and I am looking at a few distinct characters, as for Crudo, I believe he should be trusted, he's been teaching her for quite a while, how long was it again Crudo?

Nice job on these figures Thrash, they remind me of an A-team sort of renegade group, By any chance were th confidental folders based of of the G. I. joe action figures? I know each of them comes with a cool confidental Folder card to collect.

Warner Brothers planning CGI/live action LEGO film

You guys are joking right? Clutch Powers? -
I don't think it fair that I should be penalized for being the first to act, I'm quite sure many of us were thinking the same thing however I'm waiting to see if other people agree with my assumption before acting, Besides there isn't much to go on as of right now. And I feel that if we wait another night we could be dealing with another attack.

How did you manage to do the suspension, I have only managed to workout very crude and barbaric suspension, and It be nice to know what other builders are using as techniques. It's okay if it's a builders secret, but a hint or two would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Nice tank, I really like the way you did the turret, the shape looks superb.

A complaint about the new SW sets
sok117 replied to ThatGuyWithTheBricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
True, but we as a community posses a quality that most kids, without AFOL's in the family, do not have, I'm speaking of course of the ability to mod, moc, and create improvements to the set as we so choose, If you take a look at an official Lego set, then perhaps a MOC from an experienced builder, you can see that the two are very different. A MOC will pay way more attention to detail rather then putting in functions to maximize the playability, this is when Lego comes to a fork in the road, they can either satisfy the demands of the younger generation of builders by making the lego sets do such things as store other ships and vehicles, or shoot lousy flick fires, or they can make the detailed models, as we see once a year with the UCS, and now with the MIDI- Scale, which are much more accurate representations, but now we don't get the minifigures (which I think TLC is changing with the recent UCS sets being somewhat to scale with Figs) and the lack of any interior. This is why I like the idea of system scale sets, for the kids who can't mod, they've got a cool set that they can live with and play with, but to the AFOL it is all but to easy to take out the parts of a set you don't like such as the colours or the functions and replace them as you see fit with bricks from your collection, or with a quick order from brickforge. -
I don't get it, is the magma mech suppose to be being squashed underneath his foot? I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't even use any parts from the offical set besides the fig. That said I do like the look of this, the gunner turret looks really cool onto of the pilots legs, Awesome job, and the long barrel gun is really cool to, but what piece is that?

A complaint about the new SW sets

I think you are forgeting that Lego is in fact... a toy. Designed for Kids, who unlike us, play with their lego and don't care about the little details such as, Whys Boba taller then vader? or why does Han Solo look funny in carbonite? As for the price, I personally think that TLC might just be testing the buyers of the Star Wars sets, if they can still sell as well with a raise in price, then they will look into extending the license, but if the fans stop buying the sets due to riddiculous prices, the SW line won't be around much longer, I know it does sound rather far-fetched, but it is plausible. I do agree with some of the colours, but I don't mind to much, If sets would remain strickly to only one colour, if I took all my SW sets apart, I'd have three big piles of grey, dark grey, bley, dark bley, white, and republic red. With a few mismatched pieces here and there, so I'm okay with changes in colour as long as they arn't visible on the final model. As for Boba's slave 1, If you look at some of the pictures, it is indeed dark red, however it is a bit overwhelming to see the shiny dark red, on a ship that is supposed to look scratched and beaten up, that is why the brown looked better to us. Personally I love SW, I would not be an avid fan of lego if it weren't for Star Wars, sure I like Harry Potter and other space sets, But I usually try to get every Star Wars set in my budget no matter the cost for me. -
Unfortunatly, TLC has neglected to make any african-american females thus far, and I don't know how they would do that hair piece, and I don't even think she was in the book. sorry to bash your Idea like that, but I would have no idea how to make her.

And so the decision is left in our hands, we must come to a conclusion before tonight, or bear witness to more attacks. I know I'm going off with no real evidence, but Loki Malfoy is directly related to a long line of death eaters, perhaps it runs through the family? I'm not voting yet, but what do you guys think on the matter, and Loki, is there anything you can say to defend yourself? Perhaps you are here to carry out the deed your uncle failed to do all those years ago Loki. What do the rest of you guys think, I mean, we've got to start somewhere, and we know for a fact that Loki is related to many Death Eaters, It may be our best bet.

ohhh Good Idea, I think lego does a really good job of putting really expensive figures in magnet sets, However, magnets sets are usually made of only figs in the largest sets, except for the senator one I think, you could always use bricklink as an alternative for getting one of the figures, but I say there will be a pretty good chance of getting Bossk in a magnet set last year.

Do you mean the Mutt William hair? And I agree that Dean's hair isn't that big.

What, Proffesser Lastrada missing, well that teaching position is supposidly cursed, I was practiceing on the quidditch field this morning, bewitching the quaffle so I could practice, Mr. Longbottom, does this mean quidditch is canceled for the rest of the year? we have to defend out title! I guess the question is who is part of this dark association? Strange that the Slytherin Teacher is the one that went missing... Not nameing any names, but Slytherin does have a reputation of turning out the most Dark Wizards, not to mention they don't seem to have much spotsmanship on the pitch, Perhaps it was not chance that Lastrada has gone missing rather then killed like the other students, does anyone know what houses they, the students, were in?

Rocky Broomwell here, after stepping onto the qudditch pitch I can tell this will be an exciting year at Hogwarts, tryouts for the Gryffindor team are two weeks from today, I've managed to book the qudditch pitch so to all you interested, make sure to bring your A-game. Reason for edit: two "O's" not two "M's"

Those are australian prices right?... right?...*gulps* right? Thats just crazy!! and I have a feeling your wrong, the toyfair cards displaying the models said they were much cheaper then those ludicrous prices.

and don't forget the aliens, everything works better with aliens, but not those squishy jellies, In this day and age, it would be cool to have a space theme with aliens and humans working side by side for a common goal, on both good and bad teams, or neutral,or whatever TLC may choose.

I've recently been to Lego Canada (yes I am Canadian)and they don't have a warehouse for all thier stock anymore due to budget cuts, so all their merchandise ships from the states, and Is then distributed to other stores, so I would imagine that products ordered of Lego.com are coming all the way from the states.

New space police game on Lego.com click here to play galactic city getaway. I think SP III is still going strong and it's definatley plaussible for new sets in 2011.

Theres been a lot of talk about boycotting the movie because it doesn't stay true to the avatar franchise that we know and love, I think it's really terribble that they are white washing and I can only see Ang as asian, I also really don't like what he's wearing in the movie, It doesn't look anything like him in the show, I'm going to boycott the movie, Not sure exactly what that will do, but I'm doing it. Heres the leading websire Racebending.com

first to post* WOW thats amazing, I especially like the complementary colours (perhaps inspired by world racers?)Looks great, I like the way you did the legs with the backwards knee, It goes really good with the rest of it IMO, Can't wait to see your 96x96!

What makes you think he is the good character? Even Evil dark lords of the sith still have soft spots for there mom's. As for the Moc itself, It's rather small, but I guess thats what your trying to go for, a small scene that really depends on the minifig, I like the way you did his legs, and altogether he looks cool with the blood, as for the song, well, lets just say Good Charlotte and me don't get along very nicely.

I loved that Robot Chicken Episode, and Gambort, I'm glad to see that your still in the contest, KI do agree that it is a bit silly to disqualiffy it when it adds nothing more to the actual vig, I just was pointing it out thats all.
