  1. Haha, I've been facinated with the Creature ever since it scared me poopless back in 97'! That is also on the top of my list too! Why can't TLC just bite the bullet and make it already! But I think it may be in our near future given the recent spur of ROTJ tatooine sets!
  2. Thanks a lot! Cause from the pictures my mind is thinking the face is printed to far down.
  3. Thanks for the review again, I have a question though, could you post a picture of Lando with his classic hair? I really want to see what it looks like.
  4. there may be an aunt or uncle connecting the two, we'll never know. Thanks for the comments everyone!

    Canadian Eh?

Hey guys! Has anyone seen the new Batman Jet-ski polybagin stores yet? I could really use that new Batman Cowl!
  6. Well Comic-con is like a month away, So I think thats when we'll get our first glimpses of the new sets! Heres hoping for The Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and Nightwing!
  7. This is a really cool figure! I especailly like what you did for the legs and I may use it, but of course I'll credit you.
  8. In my opinion, the Furry is an awesome set, but it is way to overpriced. Wait for a nice juicy sale before making your move.
  9. Thanks a lot for the comment man! I took the one strip off of the helmet, but I kept the ones on the wings, I didn't want them to look to Batty. I'm going to try uploading more pictures soon.
  10. How can he hear the world scream if he makes it mute? Escellent entry, this guy is deliciously evil! And I love the bowler hat
  11. Well I like him the way he is, so I don't think I will change him, any colour other then black would not work well, sure Indiana Jones and Han solo both have holsters, but to put tan or dark blue pants on him would look unnatural, and what colour hat should I put on? Brown, tan or purple? any colour other then black would of course, look ridiculous. So I don't think I will use your suggestions, but thanks anyways Also, update with new photo!
  12. Well, after my first entry into this category was a bust, I had to go back to the drawing board. This idea was my joke idea, and I hope that it's okay even if it's a bit, how should we say... mature, or immature. Now may I present, the beautiful Candi! Candi, A woman of ill repute by sok117, on Flickr Beatrice Smith was born on the east side of Gotham. Her dad was a drinker and her mother was a drug addict. Her parents, along with her abusive brother came together and made one big happy family! However, when she was only 11 she decided she couldn't take it anymore, she hopped on the number 2 train and never looked back. At first she was homeless, wandering the streets. She tried some weird things in that time and much of it is a blur to her now. But that all changed when she met Big Al when she was only 16. Al offered her a job at his Gentlmens Club where she quickly became a favourite of all the patrons. She started making money, friends, and a new family of sisters. Needless to say life was sweet for Beatrice, so sweet, that now she went by the name of Candi. She could afford designer high heels, beautiful red velvet clothes, and fashionable hair-doos. Candi had all she could ever want now. 13. Well, I'm just happy with the fact that it's an original idea that I finally put to use. I think I'll wait for more input before deciding to change it so far because the look I was going for could only be achieved with the bandit from series 6, that look was a mysterious modern bandit with a western motif, and by golly I would say that has been achieved. I guess I'll work on the back story just for you. Oh and the sticker wasn't just "slapped on", it was carefully applied. Thank you for your comment! It was the mysterious loner look that embodies this character, and the fact that I used the Bandit as a base should not hinder that. All and all, I'm very happy with the finished product. If others are unhappy with it, by all means I'd be willing to change it.
  14. I agree, It's hard to make a really good entry when all entries are restricted to being "ordinary", I think this should be fine, but of course it's not my contest.
  15. Although this is a great entry, My jimmies can't help but feel a little rustled with the fact that you stole the name of my hero.
  16. Thanks for the kind comments everyone! I guess my Hero is just so good that he's spawned some imitators
  17. Thanks Penguin! For this entry I knew I wanted to do a western motif because I've never seen it done in the bat universe. I also really liked the idea of LoneStar having no face and being dressed in black to really make him fit as a plausible bat-villain.
  18. Oh thats to bad then. But wouldn't a Batman copycat be kinda ordinary in a world full of heroes? I know that they were pretty ordinary in The Dark Knight.
  19. Giant cracks on the right hand side. And the face has a splotch of paint missing from the lips.
  20. This is my entry into the build a Gothamite contest, it is inspired from Gotham City Imposters. Bobby "The Bat" Johnson by sok117, on Flickr Ever remember dressing up as a superhero when you were a kid? You know, dawning the old bath towel cape with pajamas, maybe wearing you underwear outside of your pants? Well old Bobby here never really let that childhood memory go. While Gothams other caped crusader is off on a mission, Bobby takes to the streets in his own bat-suit, fighting crime in the most ridiculous ways. He’s armed to the nines with his minimal protection flannel pajamas, and his costume prop FX officially licensed Batman Cowl TM, oh and don’t forget his trusty 12 gauge shotgun to blow away the criminals. Bobby knows hopes one day the Batman will realize the good work he’s doing and maybe they’d go out for a drink and become really good friends, then solve mysteries and go on adventures together, oh and when Bobby is getting married, Batman can be his Best man and they will be the best of friends! … yeah right. It’s often said imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but Bobby’s doing a better job of making the Dark Knight a big joke. Imposterble by sok117, on Flickr Cost SleepyHead minifigure = $3.49 Bat Cowl = $0.80 Cape= $1.20 Stickers = $1.00 Head = $0.60 Spring Boots = $2.75 Total = $9.84 Thanks One more time to Luxor and Penguin for hosting this wonderful contest!!
  21. Here is my entry for the Gotham City build a villain contest, the Highly Dangerous LoneStar! Showdown by sok117, on Flickr LoneStar by sok117, on Flickr The Wild West comes to Gotham whenever LoneStar is in town. This armed and dangerous gun-toting hitman makes a living off of bank-heists and bounties. No one knows the true face hiding behind the Star mask, but rumor has it LoneStar is disfigured, and a shadow of a man. LoneStar takes to the streets with his two dual-barrel quick-draw pistols, and while packing over 1000mg’s of ammo in belts and cases, Batman better bring everything he has got for a one on one. Can Batman hope to defeat the mysterious LoneStar? Or will he just become another bit of target practice for the infamous LoneStar. 22. This is my entry into the Gotham City make a Hero Contest The Amazing NightHawk! Batman meets Nighthawk! by sok117, on Flickr Nighthawk by sok117, on Flickr Ever since Jamie Kyle was a little boy, he knew he was destined to fly. He would try crafting wings out of cardboard, or tiring balloons to himself, heck he even flapped his arms for two days straight. But Jamie’s dreams of flying were put on hold when a lone gunman killed his brother Arthur in a random act of violence. Jamie spent years looking for his brother’s killer until one day he found him, and pushed him off a building. But before the murderer hit the ground, he was rescued by none other than BATMAN! Batman saw a hope in the misguided Jamie; he offered him a chance to make up for what he did and bring justice to the scum of Gotham as the hero NightHawk! Defender of the Sky! Now Jamie is armed with a super light-weight, hi-tech glider which he uses to soar above the roof-tops of Gotham to spot trouble. His helmet is equipped with state of the art Heads up display and radio cryptographer. And his suit allows him to withstand enormous amounts of wind resistance and G forces. The fully Armed and dangerous NightHawk is ready to avenge all those who have fallen to Gothams Crime! Nighthawk by sok117, on Flickr Nighthawk by sok117, on Flickr Cost! Captain America Head = $3.00 Regular Blue Torso = $2.00 Galactic Patrol parts= $3.00 Batman Wings= $4.00 Stickers=$3.00 Total = $15.00!!! Thanks to Penguin and Luxor for hosting the contest! 23. Awesome! I especially like your King Cobra and Doctor Strange!
  24. Finally finished all my figs! Now I just need to build me some vignettes! I'm really happy with my product!
  25. I like how TLC has a trend of releasing redesigned OT "planet" themes around the same time, Hoth, Endor, and now Tatoonie is getting the full treatment! This set and Jabba's palace are the two must-buys for me this year in terms of Star Wars! Thanks for the awesome review! And you forgot to compare this to the 2007 Desert Skiff from the Sail Barge!
