  1. I am not younger and I like it. It isn't in my budget (I'd rather build with my lego than wear it!), but I like it.
  2. I actually find that the extra door on the side interferes with one's ability to fit in a couple of tables inside - I plan to convert it back to a normal window...
  3. Thank you, ACCURATEin! :)
  4. Oh, you betcha. But first, I have to acquire some more bricks. Hoping to find some grey or brown to complement what I've got at the PaB in Charlotte when I pass through this weekend. UPDATE: and here it is!
  5. Oops, I meant to put this into the General forum. Would a moderator kindly move it for me? (Newbie, sorry.)
  6. I'm headed through Charlotte this weekend, planning a stop at the LEGO store. I checked BrickBuildr, but the Charlotte PaB wall doesn't have much information. (I'm excited about brown 1x4 tiles shown, hope that's accurate.). Can anyone who's been recently tell me anything about what to expect? This'll be my first PaB opportunity (recently returned AFoL), and I'm trying to be strategic about what I get. I'll have a pre-schoo FoL with me, so my time to think on the fly about what to snag is going to be somewhat limited. Thanks!
  7. One thing I don't see in the original review that surprised me a bit during the build (hooray, got mine in the mail today) was the number of technic parts. Substantially more (as a percentage, anyway) than GG or CC, the only two sets I've built in the past 20 years. ;) That wasn't a bad thing, I was just a bit surprised to see 'em. Fun build (although I saved the tree for tomorrow), next up is opening the SECOND 10199 box and making a reasonably sized building to keep the modulars company.
  8. Thanks :) Interior's bare (and top floor's about half facade at this point - out of bricks!), but I was intending the middle floor (with arches) to be either office or apartment space... assuming I keep that floor at all - I may go rip it apart and see if I can't come up with something snazzier.
  9. Howdy, new AFOL (former pre-teen FOL in the 80's) here. I wanted to share a MOC work in progress, using some old motorcycle shop parts that came out of the depths of my collection. I'm mostly happy with the color scheme, given that the bulk of my bricks are 80's era classic town, and so are pretty much limited to primary colors. I'm reasonably happy with lower and upper floors (pending some extra PaB arrivals for tiling), but that middle floor (in second picture) isn't working for me. Comments/suggestions most welcome!
