  1. ...but I still can't find mass amounts of Sand Red 1x2s!
  2. How cool would that be? To order almost any part still in production online direct from Lego SAH. Well, it would suck for Bricklink- but maybe at that point the used and new brick market would be a little better defined. I'm sure this idea has ever come up before, but why did a more complex project- Digital Designer- happen and not an online PAB? They'd certainly sell more bricks from an online PAB than they do through Digital Designer... Or maybe it's fear that no one would buy sets anymore? But if they're making money off PAB, where's the issue?
  3. Main Street was an unbelievable Legend set. With so many of the classic 80s and 90s Town sets being mostly simpler bricks and plates and with all the AFOLs coming out of the woodwork at every thread concerning Legends, it makes no sense why at least A FEW Legend sets aren't available. But then in another sense, I guess it does make sense. Lego was down financially a few years ago, laid off a lot of workers, which reduced their manufacturing capacity. Now in the least year or two, Lego has done better, but supply isn't meeting demand (and now seeing backordered sets on SAH is a regular occurance). Hopefully Lego can get back on it's feet into growth, then maybe we'll see more and more sets. Notice the sets they're releasing are the ones that sell BIG (and not just to AFOLs).
  4. I was up at the Lego Store in Marlborough, MA a few weeks ago, picked up: 5525 Amusement Park (marked down to $40 from $70) 7249 XXL Mobile Crane 3 big cups of pick-a-brick Some cool 2x4 brick refridgerator magnets (REALLY strong) Picked up 3 X-Large Gray Baseplates at a local TRU (these things ROCK for big buildings) Bought 15 bags of the 2x2 white windows from SAH and 5 bags of the old gray 2x2 bricks for good measure. Bunch of other misc stuff- I wish they still sold Sand Red 1x2 and 1x6 bricks! ...and way, way too much bricklink stuff. It's alarming to even a hopeless Lego addict when you're buying 500 bley 1x2 bricks at a time.
  5. I'm not kidding. Found them at a Stop & Shop in Connecticut on 2/19/2006. I was very happy just to see a classic town minifig somewhere else other than my house. You'd think someone at Lego PR would at least post a message somewhere to note these things.
  6. Found this is the frozen isle at my local supermarket (crappy camera phone picture). No free prize, although a few bricks would have been appreciated.
