This review was hilarious and very true. I knew this line was coming out months ago, but I ignored its sets until last month. I finally viewed the sets and I was impressed with the colors and parts included. However, I am at that age where manly pride got the better of me and I decided I wouldn't buy any sets. And then today, while at Target, I saw the house and thought the level of detail in the interior was amazing. However, I still refrained from buying. Moving on to Toys R Us, my mother and sister (sister is 13, I might add) saw the sets and thought they were cool for both the pieces and the ideas represented in the sets. They convinced me to buy the the Workshop and Stage set, and I think they're just great. So now I want to buy tons of these sets. You review picked out some interesting points, such as how detailed this one set is compared to most City sets. I love it. I wish City sets had the amount of cool details and more "civilian" buildings. LEGO has been getting better, but still... At this point, I'd agree that Friends is better then City at this point. Excellent review and I will definitely have to pick this up at some point.

What will you remember from 2011 with Lego?
Xenophilius Studz replied to eliminator's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I thought 2011 was an interesting LEGO-filled experience. This was the first year since becoming a FOL years ago that I felt little appeal towards any theme this year (not including Alien Conquest and Pharoah's Quest, two themes which I enjoyed greatly and will be said to see go). I picked up some small sets from themes like Ninjago and Pirates of the Caribbean, but the themes seemed lack luster compared to previous years. In 2011, I felt a stronger urge to MOC instead of buying sets. And it has finally happened. I built a spaceship and ordered parts from Pick a Brick to begin the official rebuilding of my LEGO Town. Also, I got my first Modular building (the Grand Emporium) this year. I now wish to collect more of these buildings and MOC my own. The GE is possibly my most favorite LEGO set and most appealing set to look at ever. -
Does anyone have any ideas on how to build Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head? I'm on a quest to get/build all of Andy's toys from Toy Story 3, plus some others, like Lenny and Bo Peep.

Hogwarts Mafia Sign-Ups
Xenophilius Studz replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Cool! I think I give it a try 1) I haven't played any mafia games on Eurobricks, but I have played live Mafia games and understand the basic ideas. I've also followed numerous mafia games on here, including the Baritones I & II, Prohibition, Imperial Mafia, and Infection. 2) Harry Potter is my favorite book series of all time. I've read every book numerous times, have seen the movies numerous times as well. I know many of the spells and potions, like Veritaserum, the truth potion; Polyjuice Potion, which altars the drinkers appearance, Accio, the summoning charm; Fiendfyre, dangerous cursed fire, and Lumos, the light spell. LEGO wise, I didn't buy very many Harry Potter sets because I didn't really care for HP when they were out. But I plan to pick up at least one HP set this year, and possibly the videogame. -
D2C Designers requesting feedback for 2012 models
Xenophilius Studz replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
1. I haven't bought any World Icons, but if I do, I would say NO because I usually bye LEGO sets for design rather than pieces 2. Individual 3. Well, one idea listed was a Roman Colosseum. That would be cool. 4. Oh wow. Lets see. Monorail System (City)-Like the classic monorail system, but with new track placement, monorail design, minifigs, and buildings. Carnival/Street Fair (City)-With carnival games and rides and concessions. Personally, I'm happy with a lot of the core themes that are going on currently. When your done with Prince of Persia, I'd like to see the return of Johnny Thunder and the Adventurers. Someone else also listed the return of LEGO LEGENDS. I applaud you. Yes, I would love if you guys re-released old LEGO sets. I'd also like to see the return of Wild West on LEGO shelves. And all though this is unlikely, I'd though I'd throw out that I wish to see the return of LEGO Island. It might a subtheme of City or its own separate theme. It would include buildings, vehicles from the original game and more action sequences from the second game, while leaving the third game untouched since it has already been touched enough, and not very well I might add. And, as told ahead of me, pick up the quality on minifigs. Its truly a shame for company who's motto is "Only the best is good enough" doesn't give its best on minifigs. -
Although the city calender lacks minifigs, as I would enjoy three more to make it more complete, this one is pretty cool. It doesn't have any police officers or firemen. Its centered around a family and is full of toys you can add to Winter Toy Shop. These recent calenders have been way more Christmas-y than previous years, which I enjoy very much. Keep it up, LEGO!

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
Xenophilius Studz replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I hope the Creator doesn't have the limitations of the still-awesome LIJ2 creator. You could only add a certain amount of living organisms and vehicles before it wouldn't let you add any living things or vehicles into your level anymore. -
A LEGO Universe Darkling
Xenophilius Studz replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very cool! You got the Darkling on the the mark. These guys are hard to make in purism, do to their half-skeleton body and assorted other pieces. You could buy Mad-Eye Moody's leg-piece that has a Grey peg leg, making him more accurate. I hope LEGO makes a Darkling so you can make your own army of Maelstrom to attack your minifigs. -
I'm part Irish, part German, and American, of course.

Ah yes. The LEGO Episode III sets in 2005 interested me to a point of starting to like Star Wars, like you. I would watch the Original, in order as I did, then the prequels. Yo can go to a site called Watch the Clone Wars to watch the clone wars TV series that has aired for two years or so. I'm not sure where you can find the original Clone Wars cartoon.

Imperial Soldier's Mafia - Sign Up
Xenophilius Studz replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'd like to join up the Imperial Soldiers, General! -
My favorite themes are City, Indy, Space Police, and Power Miners. I've gotten sets from each theme and I'm hooked! However, I think I will definetly like Atlantis and Toy Story when I pick those up.

I once made Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Vice President Henry A. Wallace minifigs for a school project. They aren't real spectacular, because I was busy getting the rest of the project done. They're still built, but they're lost in my Man Cave/LEGO Room/Current Storage Room in unopened boxes from when we moved to a new house last summer. EDIT: I just noticed the Lincoln in YG-49's post was in Standing Small that came with the LEGO Book

Here's my sig-fig. Optional is the golden epaulette and the Indy Bag. You also don't have to have the right hand black. You can just keep both hands yellow. The legs are from SPIII Kranxx.
