  1. Cool, yeah this looks sleeker, lower down.
  2. I was looking at this guy's BTTF delorean, and I decided how amazing it would be to remake a whole movie using LEGO. It would be the exact same movie with the same soundtrack, only LEGO visuals. I think Back To the Future would be real easy to do. The problem is I have not even barely enoguh LEGO, so I was wondering if anyone else would ever do something like this.
  3. Looks fiddely, don't know if anyone "normal" would be able to do this. Anyway, I just don't like this new system non-stop, but if LEGO keeps the adult line, or whatever it's called, going, we might see R.C. level crossings and stuff, with real working lights, just like 12V.
  4. Yeah, really cool, I requested this like 2 days before so I'm so happy LOL. Anyway, can it lift train coaches. Try a 4561 coach if you have it. I was interested in transporting coaches with the heavy loader and the transfering using this crane.
  5. Hobbes, have you been thinking about picking it up LOL. I really want to see some "real" pics of the set.
  6. The truck looks awesome, way better than in the official pics LEGO took.
  7. "The Web site cannot be found" :'-( :-P ;-) I thought you hadn't understood the post, until the :-P ;-) :-$
  8. Western was another example of a theme that really worked, but LEGO killed too early. This theme needs to be brought back, in fact, LEGO just need to pick up any catalogue from 1990-1999 and copy what they had their.
  9. European deffo. The thing is, the American trains lack character, it's just a hunk of metal to pull lots of freight IMO. Wheras sets, like the new ones, look kind of quirky. The ICE style one is super cool, and the net green freght one is establishing that LEGO wants to get back to the way it was.
  10. Four words, I am the cookie monster X-O
  11. Welcome to the baords. I started a thread, quite recently, asking the same question, only I said, why can't be just attach a 9V motor, instead of the same bogie with a battery pack attached. Unfortunately, we don't even know the look of the motor, we have been promised a lot mre information in August.
  12. O.K., now, get this site passed about all other forums you know with LEGO fans on it, and we might be onto stopping LEGO from making huge mistake.
  13. ^^^ I had a fear of not recieving one of the magazines, but they all turned up, maybe your membership expired whilst the series was being sent out. Yeah, the beast thing about it "Sting", is that I have two of these giant posters, because my little brother recieves the magazine also. So every poster I've got, I have spare in case someting happens. Yeah, I can't wait for this years, as you've seen from the first post, it looks like the train system will have some really nice shots like the Construction sets from the 4 part poster. I will alert you guys with a new thread when this years collection is over. *sweet*
  14. I don't think we can really comment on what LEGO will do with the current system, that is what they are trying to say. Nothing is certain yet, so lets not jump to the conclusion that we are al going to need to stock up or anything like that.
  15. Sorry, I'm relatively new, so I don't really know what has/hasn't been brought up, delete this thread.
  16. Why is it that the LEGO City theme is kind of sub divided, wheras, in the good old days, we just had construction sets, police sets, and hospital sets WITH tow trucks, cars, banks, other buildings etc. It seems now, the only thing you can have in a city is a police station, and hospital and construction site. If you don't understand me, look at the vehicles in these scans, why aren't there sets like this any more. Catalog Scan This is why LEGO is failing, the have annoyed all the fans by ruining there set lines, and discontinuing themes like Space, which now relies on Star Wars instead of original space ship designs.
  17. Bet you to it Toa Tilius ;-) . I've pieced together last years and the link is included below: Once again, very large resolution: All 4 A3 Posters This is an absolute mammoth poster when pieced together, that's why I had to lift my camera up high to take a picture of it on the ground. Oh yeah, my cat managed to get into the picture on the far right, she left it to the last moment to run up and take a look. I have kept all 4 of my posters in pristine condition, and hope to save money and frame it eventually.
  18. Last year, LEGO magazine was nice enough to give us 4 A3 size posters over the year, which we could join up, to make a mega poster. Don't know if this happened in the U.S. also. This year they are providing us with a new collection of posters. I have the first part, and it looks as if this years is going to be brilliant. Here's a link to a really huge picture, sorry dial up users. Poster Is it just me, or has the huge crane (slightly cut off, will be completed with the next poster), been scaled down somewhat. I think LEGO has been cost cutting again. The promise us great models, and then remove about have the elements before final production. EDIT___Looked at the two crane, and they are both the same, don't have a clue why I thought the poster version was smaller. Probably an opticaly illusion seeing as half of it has been cut off.
  19. ^^^ I hope LEGO does do this, it would be great for LEGO to respect it's fans for once. I also hope we get the stuff that is missing currently from the 9V line. For example, electric level crossing with workings crossing lights and barriers and also electric swith points. Maybe these could be R/C controlled, instead of the confusing 12V wire collection that builds up.
  20. Wow, that last shot is extremelly nice. Where are these images sourced from?
  21. A very very very costly build though, that's about 4-5 planes worth of windows.
  22. The new system was supposedly created with AFOL's in mind or helping LEGO. A statement that is EXTREMELLY hard to believe.
  23. I don't particularly like Ferrari's either, but at least I don't post things like that. What a waste of space that dude is.
  24. With regard to Firefox not beign a decent browser, I can't even access the Eurobricks site on IE. And how many oppertunities has Microsoft had to put a tabs feature on IE< and are now using at as a selling point for Windows Vista.
  25. Don't get me wrong, these are probably the best trains I've seen. Another thing, can you sit back and watch your trains go round, or, do you have to contantly have your finger on the forward button of the R/C controller. One last thing, can we set different paces, or is it simply forwards and backwards.
