Thanks for all the kind words about the layout. I feel it is the best I have ever done. The layout has been undergoing changes for years. Seems like I'm never happy with it. I have a couple things I'm going to change but for the most part stuff is going to get more detailed. As far a getting brick I can say that I have purchased a lot form Lego store back when it was easy to get cases of pab and it was discounted at conventions. Also I have bought out 2 individuals and that doubled my collection. On the layout I ran the outside loop on 9 volt and ran as expected. Fun fact that tract running all day the train travels 10 real miles. Inside look I dabled in powerfunctions. Ran AA battery box to 2 train motors controlled by the sbrick. It was outstanding. Being able to control the train from my phone. And people loved it. Only went through 3 battery changes. Better than I thought. As a one person show I wouldn't want to go much bigger. It took 4 hours to set up and then another couple detailing. Teardown took 2 hours. I did have some help with teardown from another guy in the club. One other thing. The base is a lot of duplo built up and 8x16 brick

My layout is displayed over this weekend at brickworld Indy. I redesigned most of the layout from last year and built quite a few new buildings. Have a few small tweaks to make but plan on keeping this one for a while.

What is the switch on the side for? Can you explain the lighting wiring more. I'm working on building an engine with my sbrick.

The current transfer table isn't powered. The previous version was powered via ir remote. The layout is 5'x24' it's just me setting it up. I can set it up in around 3 hours and took it apart and loaded in my trailer in about hour and 45 minutes The string is something from Walmart. Not sure what size or brand. Yes they are 8 wide.

Here are a couple videos of the layout.

Thanks guys. I can't take all the credit for the angles section. Ondrew Hardigan built that section. I added more photos and will post a video later today.

As requested here is the layout I put together and displayed this weekend at brickworld Fort Wayne https://www.flickr.com/gp/9312385@N02/s99Wbq

Just read all the thread. I'm interested in two complete circles to keep the metal rails. As far as radius. I'd be happy with the same as curve-straight corners make. 72r I think.

I have them cleaned up but have to take it all apart to clean the ends. Still having some conductivity issues. I used the highest fine sandpaper i could find and shined them right up. No damage at all. If I was home I might have done something different. But this was last night setting up fro a show today.

Has anyone ever seen it this bad. These are stored in a wood crate in a trailer for a few months. The track in the cardboard boxes was fine.

My layout is all built up 5 brick. Lots and lots of diplo and large brick plates. Some areas have a grid of 2x2 and 2x4 like gmltc did. https://flic.kr/s/aHsk8Bo2Fr
