  1. I recently came across a pretty good sized box of random pieces and had to go through them. They had been in an attic and were subjected to moisture, dirt, and insects for a good number of years, so everything needed cleaned. I put them into a plastic container filled with hot water, added a generous helping of OxiClean, and let them soak for 24 hours. After that, I dumped all of the contents out into a net and rinsed them with hot water - than put everything onto a few towels to dry. They came out very, very nice and clean (and fresh-smelling!). As an addendum, none of the bricks had stickers on them, so I cannot say the same treatment would work on those.
  2. My guess is that we'll see the end of Agents (the 2.0 selection is rather small), Power Miners, and probably Pirates. I think that it is also likely that Space Police will be put on hiatus. I have no idea how well Bellville is doing, but I suppose that is a good possibility - though having a girl-oriented theme is not a bad idea at all.
  3. I plan on finding out soon - if my wife and I can get our schedules straight, we plan on going as soon as possible.
  4. Kolding? We're like... neighbors! :) Selv tak! The Digital Blue stuff are the cameras and such that were announced earlier this year.
  5. That's really sweet work, bro. I'm pretty much in awe how it looks - most really tall mechs seem far too skinny in one area or another, but this looks like a real beast.
  6. Yesterday I was at my usual haunt for buying Lego sets - checking to see if the Glatorian Legends had hit the shelves here. I ran across the owner and struck up a conversation about when we could be expecting the aforementioned sets, since they've been out in the states for so long now. Denmark is scheduled to get the 6 Glatorian Legends and the 5 vehicles in August - so we here are following the original release dates. The new film will be released here September 22, as expected. I got a chance to check out his latest retailer sheet for the rest of the year and was a little surprised. As it stands now, the Bionicle Digital Blue products will not be released in Denmark. Nor will the Titan Mata Nui. The store owner (this is a family-run store - not a chain like TRU) related to me that Bionicle is not selling at all as well as it has been in past years, and that the 2009 sales have been far less than had been hoped. He made a rather ominous claim that he thought the line might be "finished". Take that as nothing more than one owner's opinion - but I will say that he is rather reliable and "in" with those in Billund. This took me slightly by surprise as from what I have seen, the sets released here this year do seem to be moving quite well in most stores. I haven't had a problem finding anything, but I notice that there have been quite a few re-stocks in my area. At any rate, that's what I gathered from that conversation. Also - I have not been able to find Tuma anywhere, though he has been released. Finally, it may be of interest the following clearance items: Føtex - All 2009 Bionicle products are being clearanced out at half price and will not be restocked at any time soon. Bilka - All 6 Mistika are 1/3rd off retail price to 75 kr. TRU - The 2006 Lava Chamber Gate is on clearance for 175 kr. (it may actually be less than that, I can't remember for certain) and the 2008 Matoran are 30 kr. Buddy and Legekæden - Axalara T9 is marked down 100 kr. to 399. Hopefully this is of interest to my fellow Danes.
  7. I smiled through the trailer, so I'm sure that this is going to be a film that I'll love. You could almost see how much fun Woody was having.
  8. I noticed that the last time I was at TRU, they had several of the Exo-Force sets in their clearance area that had come out of the back. I bought up the ones that I didn't have - for about a third their original price. :)
  9. That is really, really nice work. I'd like to see a mask on it, but then I'm afraid that it would loose the very sleek look that it has.
  10. I burn them in our firepit. I think that while most of them are rather nice, they take up far too much room.
  11. Sounds like a topic right up my alley! Wargames played: War of The Ring, Lord of The Rings: The Strategy Battle Game, Secrets of the Third Reich 1949, BattleTech, and Field of Glory RPGs played: Alpha Omega, D&D 3.5, d20 Modern, Shadowrun 3rd, MERP, and Dark Heresy Boardgames played: Decent: Journeys in the Dark, SPQR, Elfball, Field Commander Rommel, and Saganami Island Tactical Simulator
  12. I expected very little from the show, but gave it a try. Love it! If I would add anything, it'd be a season finale with all of the season's winners taking each other on to decide who is the deadliest warrior.
  13. English, Danish, History, Christianity, Mathematics, and Science. Space (everything from classic till now), Castle, Pirates, Vikings (of course), Exo-Force, Agents, Bionicle, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. Hejsa! Mange tak, Kim.
  14. Hi EB, I’m Brian. Late '30s, married, kids, and a mess of pets. If the name didn't tip you off, I'm from Denmark. I’m passionate about the things that interest me. My family. My pets. A metalhead at heart, I listen primarily to music made in the mid seventies to late 80s. I read voraciously and collect books as well, but only in specific genres, particularly fantasy and hard science fiction. I’m passionate about my profession - education. I'm a teacher and am fanatical that what I do as my calling, my vocation. My focus is on equality of opportunity rather than outcome; where diversity is celebrated. I encourage mistakes. When I'm not working at work or around our farm, I run a gaming news website and am an indy press game publisher. I'm also pretty passionate about Lego - my first set (that I can remember) was the 375/6075 Yellow Castle when it was first released in '78. While I've been out of collecting for a good number of years, I've recently been drawn back in. Hopefully, I'll be useful around here.
