B-OV-34D & V-W-04F The Star Ferry and Tsim Sha TsuiFerry Pier The Star Ferry's ferry crossings at Victoria Harbour are acclaimed as an importantpart of the commuter system between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, and essentialjourneys for visitors. The National Geographic Traveler named the ferrycrossing as one of 50 places of a lifetime. The ferry ride is alsowell known as one of the world’s best value-for-money sightseeingtrips. (The “Star Ferry” Company Limited, http://www.starferry...k/company.html) In Hong Kong, Legend Bricks, The Pennisula Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Heritage Project organize an exhibition named, Our Tsim Sha Tsui – Past, PresntAnd Future, showing the historical photos, products, history of the area TsimSha Tsui And our group, Legend Bricks was honoured and invited to contribute in building 2 parts of Tsim Sha Tsui using Lego bricks, the 1970’s and the Present. As Tsim Sha Tsui pier is one of the main building in Tsim Sha Tsui area in 1970s,I am very pleasure in building the Ferry and the Pier! This is the first time I build a ship, in a minifigs scale. It’s very different from making trains atall! Let me show you some of the photos of the ferry and pier first. Ferry6 Image Star Ferry The Lego time! Hong Kong - KCR Sir Alexander Locomotive and passengercar A long long time leave the trainsaway from me, and this is a chance to pick it up again for a historicalexhibition in Hong Kong, “Our Tsim Sha Tsui, Past, Present, And Future” The exhibition is now opening until 2nd September, showing thehistory of Tsim Sha Tsui, the products and photos at that time. And also ourfocus, the Lego models for 1970’s and Present Tsim Sha Tsui by Legend Bricks. This locomotive and passenger car appear in the 1970’s model, making with8-stud wide. This model number has been made from Superb (also a train playerin HK in loving the 6-stud train cute version) before with green bricks and6-stude wide. And, I start to make the train with 8-stud wide and follow the real colour ofthe train because of the real situation. I love following the real things! Thehistory part of the train has been presented by Superb, so I post the photos toprevent the duplication. And the important thing is, thetrain is still here in Hong Kong TaiPo Market Train Museum for a permanentexhibition. You can refer the history there if you come / plan to come to HongKong in the future. The train was very hard to built because the dark green Lego parts in Hong Kongwas so less, I only have : 2x4 plate, 1x1,1x2,1x4 bricks, 1x1 slope, 1x4 tile, 1x2x2 and 1x2x3 window, curve top Supposing, the parts were not enough and not detail to built for atrain/locomotive. So, let me show you the real things Locomotive Passenger Car Here’s the Lego version Locomotive Passenger Car ] Do you know where did the train appear in Hong Kong?? The answer is 1970’s Tsim Sha Tsui Station. Want to see more?? Stay tune for the next post. Thanks for watching For those who interested / plan to travel to HK for vacation, please come tovisit our exhibition Our Tsim Sha Tsui – Past, Present and Future Date : 11th May - 2nd Sept Venue: Thematic Exhibition Gallery, Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, Kowloon Park, Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday (except Thursday): 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday and Public Holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Closed on Thursday (except Public Holidays) Webpage : Legend Bricks Facebook http://www.facebook.com/legendbricks The content of exhibition : http://www.lcsd.gov....h_memorytst.php

Back To The Future III (WW Category 1 Train)
PrinceWilliam replied to PrinceWilliam's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for your watching and pointing out firstly. The landscape is one of the main creation to support the train, the car and also the track. It would be less attractive if the background is cut. A MOC full background is not allowed but my focus are on the trains, track and the car. Hope there could be anyone to confirm my entry or not. -

PrinceWilliam replied to PrinceWilliam's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks very much !! This is the first time I make the rail track!! Anythings that can be improved?? Please feel free to give comments ! -
Back To The Future III (WW Category 1) HelloEveryone, Do you interested in time travel?? If you do, you should remember the series film, Back To The Future (BTTF) Althoughthe BTTF series had been showed for nearly 20 years, the films werealways being my most favorite films at all !!! What scenes do youlike the most in the BTTF series?? Back To The Future I , The thunder storm stroke the tower clock? Back To The Future II, The flying Delorean ?? Or The modern flying time machinetrain in Back To The Future III?? Now, at the same time, there is a Lego scene competition holding in Hong Kong, titled “The classicalfilm scene” . Where there will be final 12 creations will be selected in 2011 Animation and Comics (29Jul - 2Aug, 2011). As a fan of BTTF,it’s a great chance to show “my honor” and feedback to the BTTFseries. Ido like the western story in the BTTF Trilogy, especially Martin andDoc. Brown “kidnap” the steamed train, use the moving train asthe force, and push the Delorean back to the 1985. As, my interest is making Lego trains, I choose thisscene as my competition creation in both Eurobricks and 2011HKACG finally. Let’shave a whole view of the creation (1) The front view The scale of the creation is 32x64 studs which including a sand western desert landscape, a steamed train and the Delorean mainly !!! (2) The right hand view The time machine and Martin Mcfly, do you remember?? (3) The left hand view There is a cave on the left hand bottom part. Still remember the scene?? This is the beginning of the BTTF III, Mcfly was chasing by the Inidans and Americans, and then he hid the time machine Delorean into the cave, then..... (4) The focus, steamed train The exploding steamed train, make use of the curve and the plates to make. (4a) The upper view of the train (4b) The chimney (4c) The exploding stove and the driving deck The exploding stove Please notice that the following pictures are not a photo editing effect !! But this is the real smoke-spread machine effect !!! (4d) The logo Due to the limitation, I change the numbers to a logo instead. (4e) The tire Do remember the tire used to separate the steamed train and the Delorean ?? (4f) The rail track The rail track also used a new method to build. (4g) The scene Do remember what are they doing? The scene I make with the steamed train is, Doc. Emmett Brown saves his lover, Clara. Clara chased the train after she knew that the "escape project" in the Doc's farm house. During that time, the red bombs exploded. Clara slipped over the train and the Doc wanted to save her. Martin Mcfly sent a hover board which got from BTTF II to Emmett.... ***Please noted the smoke is real !!! (5) Train-track style Delorean Nearly 88 miles !!! Ready to Back To The Future , 1985 The train-track version of time machine, Delorean. (6) The final Clara saved and Mcfly Back To The Future of coarse!!!! Hope you enjoy this creation !!!! Thank you for your Watching!!!! by PrinceWilliam

Japan Railway – KyotoStation Dream to having little Japan Kato trains modelset (with bullet trains, control, stations, houses, bridges, etc) when I waslittle boy, but there was not enough money. Dreaming to buy the trains modelset after I have got a job after graduation, but it’s hard to find the setsnow…. Until I had played Lego again 5 years age, and, after the power function train set was first promoted last year, my dreamstarted to come true… Let’s have a look of what I am dreaming of. JapanRailway – KyotoStation (The real one) The station could be divided to three parts(for front view, not the Kyoto Shinkansen entrance)) , left, middle and theright part. TheLeft Oversized Image 1 Oversized Image 2 If I don’t remember wrongly, there would bean exhibition showcase, restaurants, convenience stores, etc, with also theticket machine. TheMiddle The main entrance of the station. I likethis part due to the glass wall. Oversized Image 3 TheRight There is an Isetan Department Store on theright side, with also the observatory garden offering the full view of the Kyoto station and partsof the city. Oversized Image 4 There is a long long stair and theescalator, bring you from the ground to the observatory garden. You can alsoenter the department store through this pathway. Of coarse, you can also seethrough the glass wall. Less lighting systems, electrical energy are being usedbecause of the transparent glass. So this station could also be called “KyotoGreen Station”. There are at least 5 rail tracks inside, goes for different directions (to Tokyo / to Osaka / To Kyushu, etc) Oversized Image 5 And at the back of the station, there isalso an entrance for the Shinkansen. There is a bridge connecting between themain platform to the Shinkansen platform. Because of the limitation of resource, Ican only build the front part of the Kyoto Station, hope I can build theShinkansen one in the future and share to you. So, let’s go to the Lego Japan RailwayKyoto Station DayVersion NightVersion PrinceWilliam:This is the main entrance of the Japan Railway, Kyoto Station. There are department stores, shops, restaurants, convenience stores, etc. A brilliant modern construction / trainstation in Japan!! You should go to have a look if you can go to Japan!! PrinceWilliam: Haha. We have enough to time to have a sightseeing here. Girls, let’s….ss..s..s… go! Japanese girls:]oops, Otaku~~ (Otaku = Boys who are fond of animation, comics and online games and always stay at home.) PrinceWilliam:This is the JR Logo…:p PrinceWilliam:Let’s go to have a look for the left part of the station, by usingthe escalator. PrinceWilliam : I do forget what exactly the usage for the left part, so I changethe function to be an observatory place too. PrinceWilliam:You can watch the trains move around thestation throught the binoculars here and the glass !!! JapaneseGirls:Otaku! PrinceWilliam:Ah ha, it’s time to have lunch. The left part of the ground floor ischanged for two restaurants. PrinceWilliam:Delicious meal !!! Let’s go to the right part, but we should buy theticket first to avoid rushing for the train. PrinceWilliam:There are stairs and escalator to go on theupper part. It’s also the observatory place. PrinceWilliam:The original department store has been changedto the train information center. PrinceWilliam:It’s time for the train ride, let’s move to the platform. PrinceWilliam:We need to catch up the train on the oppositeplatform, let’s go up the stairs. PrinceWilliam:This is a good place to take photos for thetrains if you are train-lovers. PrinceWilliam:We are now going to the countryside, and wewill go to the Tokyo later on. PrinceWilliam:The famous Japanese bullet train. This is JR 500 series bullet train, bringpassengers from Kyushu to Tokyo, will go through the main city like Osaka ofcoarse. PrinceWilliam:Today, we take this one, the JR HK100series. Seeyou next time, haha!! 。。。。。。。 “Um…. How about the station in night time?” “Let’s open the lighting system!!!” Lighting main entrance Lighting platform+lighting bridge All lights on Lighting platform+ passengers waiting for thetrains (1)This is the first time I building thebig train station for 192 long x 96 wide. (2)Special thanks to tf2lending the JR 500 series bullettrain for photos. And thanks to Badleo for teaching me the lighting effect. Thanks for watching!!!

MOC: Japan Railway (JR) Hakodate Line Series 40 Locomotive
PrinceWilliam replied to PrinceWilliam's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks for your watching and all of your comments. These really encourage me to put more effort to the MOC train creation!!! It is my honour to have the first MOC creation being posted in classic-town.net. Thanks very much at all. Thanks for seeing the post, the photos are resized and it can be seen now. Sorry for late reply. It is very busy in the middle. The photo sizes are resized within 800 x 600. Is it ok now? -
Japan Railway (JR) Series 40 Locomotive I am really addicted to the Japanese trains. Why? It is because the design of the locomotives and also the color appearance. This production is mainly produced for the Brick Adventure 2011 in Hong Kong (Event will be held in 12-22th Jan, 2011). with also we have a great chance from Lego Hong Kong to hold an Lego Fans event in Tsim Sha Tsui on 30th, Sep, and challenge my master, AndyBear with his Lego JR train Yamate Line. So I decide to build this Japanese style locomotive to compete with him. Let’s see some of the picture of the locomotive first. And the show time, my JR Series 40 Locomotive The real Series 40 Locomotive hasn’t any pantographs The ventilation system of course. The locomotive can adapt around 1x passengers. Train doors can be opened of course. There are pillars for the passengers without any seats. The train driver of course. “Hi all, how do you feel about the locomotive?? Funny or boring?? Let’s continue to have look of the following. And that’s also the part I am really addict to….” The first locomotive. The front door is opened (compare to the above photo). What’s happening? Locomotive breakdown? There is also a locomotive entering the same platform. It seems to going to bump into each other. The front door of the second locomotive is opened. Haha !!! It is going to combine together. After the combination, much more passengers can be carried for each time travel. The real locomotive combination picture. Thanks for watching. Great pleasure and honour to be first posted in classic-town.net http://www.classic-town.net/?p=6818#respond

It looks great, but it would be more appropriated to credit the original designer of this model, HK Andybear. Andybear had built the buses since last year July http://www.minifigs.net/forum/viewthread.p...;extra=page%3D1

The chimneys are actually the ventilation systems in JR series 101. This car was original built with the series 101 and improved to 201 while the roof was still using the one of series 101. Thanks for your watching.

TTCE : Japan Railway series E233 (underground version)
PrinceWilliam replied to PrinceWilliam's topic in LEGO Train Tech
It is a demostration to show the different status of the doors for the wagons. You can see the doors in the first car are in opening status which the doors would be retieved to the 6th-stuf and spaces would be provided for the minifig entries. On the other hand, the doors would stay at the 8-stud in the second car while they are in closing status. Thanks for your support. -
Thanks for watching, as the competition limits the width of the entry trains, I would like to use the 7-stud as body width to make this train. If the train uses 6-stud width, it would be more narrow, but it would be too "fat" if the creation uses 8-stud with my several tests. So I chose the middle to create this train. For the 9V motor (create this for playing 9V track), it is 6-stud width. Like the above comment, if the body used 6-width with the 6-stud motor, it would be too smooth for the whole creation. If the body used 8-width with 6-stud motor, it would be very strange for "Fat body with slim leg", and it is needed to modified the motor by adding some anti-sound creations (I guess) to reduce it's strangeness, however, it would be not so likely to the original train. That's the problem I suffered in creating this train !!

ENTERED TTCE : Japan Railway series E233 (underground version) Category 1 entry Hi again, This is the next creation of my JR (Japan Railway) originally, but, due to the lack of skill sets, lego pieces, the train has been created far from the real train and my imagination at first. It was first created in 7 studs wide and changed to a 8 studs wide train which the feeling of the train would be a little "fat". So, finally I changed my mind, if the is not a train but an underground ?? The "fat" would be accepted in my point of view. Agree? Let's enjoy my "fat" creation. Real life Series E233 of JR My Creation Thanks for watching !!!

ENTERED Japan Railway series 201 for TTCE category 2 entry Hi everybody, This is my third time to post the creation here. It’s really exciting that a train competition would be held since the others like castle, city houses, star wars are far more famous than the train !! This offers me an opportunity to make a locomotive for the JR trains (Japan Railway). The creation is a series 201 model which operates in the central of Tokyo Japan. I would like to take this opportunity to show you how beautiful the JR train is !! Hope’s you enjoy also. Please leave comments/ suggestion for me to improve more on the train skill sets. Thanks !! Let’s show you some of the real life pictures of train The whole train The first car Let’s have a look of my creation (Inside can carry around 2x minifigs and with handles also)

Hi, I would like to ask when would be the submission deadline of the creations? And when will be the start date of the vote?

Hi everybody, This time, want to share with you a Hong Kong old version train. Actually, it's not a train but a light railway, taking residence back and forth in the country side in almost ten years ago. The train was replaced another new version train but I regard, the appearance of the old version one is better than the new one. So that, I had created this MOC. Enjoy ~~ The real train reference in Hong Kong reference source :http://www.hkitalk.net/HKiTalk2/viewthread.php?tid=190937 Let's see my creation. The whole train , with totally 6 pair doors. The real one only contains 3 pairs on the left hand side of the train. The right hand side wrapped with the windows. The windows changed from grey (the above photo) to the white train window because the grey windows are hard to find in Hong Kong ! Another view " The front is making with 4-width bricks while the body is making with 6-width bricks and 4-width bricks again at the end Front view with the train driver, can you see? 4-width front converts to 6-width body The electric power system Air cooling and ventilation systems on the top of the train http://www.minifigs.net/forum/attachments/...l.jpg.thumb.jpg This one, I will call it as a train-span (like wing span in aeroplanes), all doors can be opened and the drive sits in the front of the train. Passengers (minifigs) can get inside and take seats at all!! Thanks for watching !!
