:-| The "point" being? What was this "point" supposed to be? This is such a silly gripe...the "point" is that the figs are based on the animated series, so they are drawn to represent the art in the animated series. You can "personally" object, but there is most certainly a reason for it and the reason makes total sense from a marketing point of view....no one cares about someone who already has 1000 clone troopers...it's more about the person yet to buy one.

IJ 7622 Race for the Stolen Treasure: Missing Pieces
androodeetoo replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Licensed
i know...seems like a crazy long time to mail a minifig head, but i'm not going to complain...i've bought tons of lego sets over the last 4 years and this is the first time i've ever been missing a piece, so i'll see how well they hold to their word before getting angry...besides, i've already wasted enough energy and anger when i realized the piece was missing. -

my brother bought me the Lost Tomb set for Christmas...and Marion's head is missing! To say we were mad would be an understatement. We pulled the room apart, thinking it might've rolled away or something...drove us nuts for about 2 hours until we gave up. I am using a spare Hermione head until Lego sends me a new one...anyone have experience getting missing parts form them through the service portion of the Lego website? I put in a request this morning...wondering how long it'll take. -
[quote name='Batbrick' date='Sep 6 2007, 12:14 PM' post='191501' I think that everyone will be glad once StarWars is over, it had loads of great sets, boosted Lego up, and once it is over then Space can reappear. :-| Maybe some of the 50 or so posters on this forum....but thousands upon thousands will stop buying Lego altogether once SW is done. Besides, as a few people have pointed out, there have been way more "busts" in Lego-originated designs than in licensed lines. Licensing put butts in the seats when Lego needed it. I think they should do more of it in the future. I know plenty of people who only started looking at and buying Lego again becasue of SW, Batman, Harry Potter AND Spongebob. So Avatar and NBA did not do so great...whatever. If not for the licensing end, most people would grow out of Lego and never go back.

"You may not like it Minister...but Dumbledore got STYLE." Very nice!!!!

Yep, originally from Mineola now living in Carle Place (after a stint in Long Beach). They always seem to get the sets before the TRU in Manhattan, but run out much quicker (less inventory). The Wal*Mart in Westbury (i think it's Westbury...by the Source Mall) is strangely good too...they had tons of both BattlePacks way before I saw them anywhere else.

I wonder when it'll be in Toys R Us in New York! The Carle Place, NY Toys R Us seems to get stuff pretty quickly...

I think it looks great and will work well with previous Hogwarts sets.

What is your favorite Harry Potter year??
androodeetoo replied to Pepper Roni's topic in LEGO Licensed
I have every set from all 4 years. Year 3 sets are my favorites. -
Pink fig is Umbridge. Very cool. figs seem to have new expressions or new hairpieces or both. Looks like the middle part fits right under the last castle from PoA. Nice. Umbridge's offics looks neat, as does the greenhouse.

new order of the phoenix sets....that's all.

You must have a racically different picture from everyone else. Or very special eyes complete with wishful thinking sensors :-P . There is no Umbridge or Malfoy or mystery fig in that pic. The blond is Luna...look at the long hair. And the purple girly clothes. Probably not Malfoy. and the fig on the far left is bald...either Filch or Wormtail. Plus, TLC always uses those big dress bottoms for the older lady teacher figs....not legs...so no Umbridge anywhere in that pic. As far as a mystery fig...why would TLC go out of their way to paste a flying Ron into that layout just to obscure another fig in the pic?
