  1. I love your work on here keeping this thread alive Oky! Great single-panes that make me laugh whenever I see them. Particularly like the Les Miserables funny here even if I didn't like the film. Great work!
  2. Hello! I'm Bagginses, also known as George. I've loved Lego since a very young age and got a few sets during my younger childhood, but except from a few one-off occassions where I've suddenly loved it again, I only really started collecting them "properly" at the beginning of this year. I started with Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit (which you could probably guess I adore with my username! ) but then have also expanded my collection to include Superheroes (one of my least favourite themes but a nice one all the same) and Star Wars, which I've always been a big fan of (including the prequels - no hate please! ). One of my biggest passions (probably just before Lego) is video games. These include the Lego games too and I've played Lego Star Wars I and II, as well as the Complete Saga, Indiana Jones I and II, Lego Batman I and II and really want Lego Lord of the Rings! I have the Elrond figure which came with the copy I bought for my younger brother (or bother ) who enjoys Lego like me but unfortunately smashes most of his sets bought for him (except for Riddles for the Ring which I rescued! ). Other game series I like include The Legend of Zelda (my favourite - the Cuusoo project looks awesome!), Skyrim, Pokemon, Half-Life, Minecraft (don't have the set though ), and Mass Effect which I have just started. I primarily play on my laptop through Steam, and am hoping to get a proper gaming PC eventually. I also have a PS3 but I don't use it often and am considering selling to help fund my Lego collection! I also enjoy films, such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, Star Wars, and read a lot of books (currently reading the second Song of Ice and Fire book and hoping to start on the TV show soon - no spoilers please! ). I am also a large Doctor Who fan but much prefer the Classic Series (Seven and Four are my favourites) and I heavily dislike the series that just ended. I've been watching this place for a while now and have just left a Doctor Who forum and so decided to fill that gap with this place as it looks to have a fantastic community, even though it looks massive and the forum looks a little complex to get around. I don't get much Lego that often as I'm quite young (by some of your standards perhaps - I won't say my exact age but I'm definitely a TFOL) but whenever I do I cherish it and display it proudly. I only have two Star Wars sets and they're £20-£25! Because of the unfortunate price range of some of the sets I often buy Lego Minifigures, which I started collecting in Series 9. I hope to have fun on here and enjoy myself!
  3. Hullo, I just signed up after watching this place for a long while now, and I intend to have my opinion on this. I'll be posting in the welcome thread soon enough. In response to the two sets you mentioned, I actually was convinced to buy Droid Escape after seeing the nifty little hoverspeeder one of the Sandtroopers has and seeing clearer pictures of the pod interior The Corporate Alliance Tank Droid is on my must-buy list also because of the build, the minifigures are important as they were in Droid Escape, but I do love the Tank Droid's design. I do see your point, but some of the builds in sets are fantastic and I don't quite get why you wouldn't want awesome-ly detailed minifigs such as the lovely new design of Boba Fett. But some more detailed sets would be nice.
