I like it. I'll admit I'm not entirely convinced by the hands, but I'm sure that one of my old Exo-force robot's will happily "donate" his arms so that this guy can have a nice set of opposable thumbs Thanks for the great review quy

REVIEW: 7307 Flying Mummy Attack
Barricade769 replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think this is going to be a must buy for me. I think that the plane is brilliant, and it'll be even better when the crystal grabbing arm "accidentally" gets left off The obelisk is a little bit of a let down seeing as how it's basically just scenery, but I think the figs more than make up for that - the flying mummies are excellent, and Jack's bomber jacket is fantastic - looks like there's more than a little bit of Harry Kane from the old Adventurers theme in him. Thanks for the great review Brickster -
Simply beautiful. The body is spot on, the engine and interior are fantastic and I love the pop-up headlights. The only thing I'd change is the antenna; it seems a little out of place on such a sleek body. Keep up the good work

You had me at halftrack I've always loved the old Adventurers theme, so this is probably going to be right up at the top of my 2011 most wanted list. I hope we get the same great temples and period vehicles that made Adventurers so great - but then again, halftrack . Halftrack halftrack halftrack

Barricade769 replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in Special LEGO Themes
oh, you crazy cavemen you I wasn't really planning on buying this set, but your review might have just changed my mind Thanks for the fantastic review, Brickster! -
Nice - I like them I usually like my trucks and SUVs to be 6-wide, but these look really good . Maybe I should reevaluate the size of my other vehicles Keep up the good work Allan

Atlantis: Undersea Explorer Review
Barricade769 replied to TimToyGeek's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I like it - I'm on the fence about all of this years other new Atlantis releases, but if there's one thing I'm a sucker for it's a transforming robot, as I'm sure my Transformer collection will attest Thanks for the great review, TimToyGeek! -
MOC World Racer Entrants
Barricade769 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Awesome - I think I like these more than most of the official World Racers vehicles I concur about the weapons - over-sized cannons don't really work on racing cars. I agree that something like this would make a great competition - let's hope the Mods think so too. -

Review: 5987 Dino Research Compound
Barricade769 replied to ZO6's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Now this takes me back - I remember getting this for my birthday and playing with it for hours. Adventurers is one of my all time favourite themes and this set is a prime example of why. Thanks for the fantastic review -
World Racers Summer 2010
Barricade769 replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
These definitely look like they could be interesting - I'm getting a really strong Wacky Racers meets Mad Max vibe from 8864, and Wreckage Road looks like a good, fun set. I'll definitely be picking up some of these sets - even if it's just for the new printed helmets -
LEGO Collectible Minfigures Series 1 Poll
Barricade769 replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Going to have to be the zombie for me. They're all brilliant figs, and I plan on getting them all, but I just love zombies Hopefully I'll be able to get enough zombie heads to get a fully fledged zombie apocalypse on the go - then all I'll need is a gun, a chainsaw and a big red metal door to hide behind -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Barricade769 replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Oh man these look awesome - and just when I thought it was going to be a quiet(ish) year I hope that you get a complete figure and not a random set of parts, but either way I'm going to make it my mission to get them all (plus extras) - I'm a sucker for this kind of collectable stuff. On the subject of accessories, I don't think that they'll all have them - I mean, what could they give the zombie? A brain? A severed limb? Tickets to the Jeremy Kyle show ?
