I remember a MOC from a while back that was a town on top of a massive vehicle. I've tried searching for it myself, but I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone give me a link to the topic? If I remember right it was featured on the front page.

I was thinking it would be rockraider/power-miners with swastikas.

Here is what the page shows, I have no idea what's wrong with it. -
Is the Brikwars Site Down?

Hmmm. Can you give me a link to the forums, so I can make sure I'm not typing the address wrong or something. -
I'm wondering if it's just me or is the Brikwars site down for everyone. I've been unable to access it for awhile, the page only coming up as "cannot be found" or something. I was wondering if the site moved or something. Can anyone else access it?

Something about the purple fig with the space limo screams "space pimp" , thought I doubt thats what they were going for. Considering the music even young kids listen to nowadays(I've seen a rap CD with things like humpty dumpty on it, and not thats not a euphemism) you gotta wonder how many kids would make the same connection.

There have actually been a couple of sets that included a hot air balloon. The balloons themselves were made of two large half circles, which could easily be hinged to allow it to be opened. Here are some pics. Link 1:http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=5988-1 Link 2:http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=7415-1 Hope that helps. Good luck with the MOC, as well as several other things.

I kind of doubt you need any extra couter weights if the thing has 36 AA batteries.

Dreaded Porcupine was the name given to a biomechanical creature that was found by a UA* patrol ship in and astroin feild. When they found the creature they beleived it to be wreckage of an ordinary space ship. Upon approaching for close inspection they saw the of it's "eye" dimly flickering a dim red. Quick realising it was a member of the rumored mysterious race that was destroy colonies on the edge of inhabited space. When radioing back to the commander wondering what to do with the creature they were shocked when he ordered them to bring the monster back to headquaters immediately and tell no one. Under incredible secrecy the creature was repaired, using human technology where nothing remained of what was originally there. The creature was kept tightly restrained as repairs were going on, although they were'nt needed as the creature never tried to attack the crew. Even once it was fully healed, it was puzzlingly docile. The creature, out of gratitude for saving it, now serves as a nightmare of an attack dog alien for the UA*. This originally started as a "satellite hacker"(like Soundwave in the new Transformers movie). As it took shape it turned into an attack drone/space probe. Close to finishing it I realized it looked like a Black Fantasy** monster, though it had dark grey on it. That's were the story started forming. By the way, don't try taiming demonic-planet-destroying-aliens-born-out-of-fear-and-hatred, it doesn't end well (I call dibs on using that to explain scars) * The UA(Urban Assault) is the name of my lego army, it's colour scheme is light grey, dark grey and black. Most of it's made in LDD do to my lack of enough physical bricks, I plan on buying most of them eventually(this one costs 71.50 for the DP alone). I've posted others on here before, you can fing them by looking up the topics I"ve made. ** Credit for the original Black Fantasy creatures gos to Nannan.

Well is it going to be in the middle of the city or in the suburbs? That would have a lot of effect on what to put. If it's in the city just think of what's out behind a building in a big city, such as a dumpster, old boxs and crates, forklift pallets, a hobo, etc. If it's in the suburbs put stuff like a grill, tool shed, and so on. One thing that could wouk for both and help use up unnessacary open space would be a trailer the club uses to haul all their instruments to an event.

Very nice , I curious how you did the front wheel. The only thing that might improve it would be a 2x2 black tile and two 1x1 tiles to cover the studs on the front.

Looking at the scale I not sure it's UCS. I think It's just correctly scaled to mini figs, since the head looks wide enough to hold two drivers side-by-side.

I happened to have an old train topic in my favorite so I think I know whats going on. I've seen a new picture atleast. I've also come across what appears to be subforums in the Pirate section that regional.

Well you proably won't be a millionaire by selling lego peices, unless you have a box full of maersk blue hard hats, those thing alone are worth like $500 USD from what I saw on bricklink. There aren't too many peices that are worth alot other than some Star Wars figs.

Pros and Cons of the various types of trains.
Madcat2000 replied to Madcat2000's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Probably one of the worst things lost in the 9V to PF conversion was the ability to make certain types of locos that don't requrie other car(s) behind them for power or propulsion. The two main ones that come to mind are shunters, due to their small size (I mean the little tank engine steam shunters and the small deisel ones like that 3 axel one), and hood body deisels like the BNSF a few years ago, which to my knowledge is the primary type of deisel for freight use, as most car body deisels (like the Super Chief) are passenger locos. -
This is an armored train being mostly designed in LDD(as I don't own any actual train parts at the moment), so far I've semi finished two cars and a third which will certainly be redone. If you have any ideas or suggestions it would help alot. Here are the pictures of a few of the train car finished so far. Ram car This car is at the front of the train to make sure the track is clear of anything that might cause problems, such barricades, other trains, etc. Cannon Car This car mounts a turret with two (insert fancy name to be determined later) cannons. This one will be remade almost completely except for the turret, if you have any suggestions it would probably help. Passenger Car This one I based mostly on the Emerald Night's passenger car. It is used to carry troops and support personell. The locomotive for this train have to be built in real life unlike the other cars which can be built in LDD first. the reason for this is that it will a totally fictitous (atleast as far as I know) hybrid Steam-deisel drive system, meaning a deisel engine with the drive wheels of the Emerald Night. It will have to push a few car ahead of it which from what I understand is hard. If I can I'lldraw and post a concept picture sometime in the future.

I've seen something similar just yesterday(although on a trunk not train). It was a single tank of some kind in a frame so in could be carried like a standard shipping container. I'd imagine something atleast similar in function to what you built exists. Here a picture similar to what I saw.

What trains do you want Lego to produce in the future? More real locos (Super Chief,BNSF), if so which ones? What kind of cars will it pull, will they be sold seperatly? Post what you want the future lego trains to be like. What I want. 1. A way to make hood-body locos (BNSF) with all the PF stuff in the loco itself. 2. A way to make shunter locos. 3. seperately sold rolling stock, like My Own Train. 4. A rerelease of the Super Chief since it is easily converted to PF, or so I've heard. 5. A deisel freight engine of some sort. Are there any car-body locos that pull freight or are they all passenger? 6. More trackside structures, stations, cranes, etc. Also because this doesn't need its own topic I'll put here. Not really relevent but funny and train related.

Well I think mine are more awesome than any car, but i haven't read the whole thread yet. My actual dreamride is the Russian built Mi-24 attack helicopter. But if realism is flexable then the Panzercycle. And now a real motorcycle I think it might be based on.

I understand why lego switched to PF, so it could have a singe power system across themes, but why make the RC trains? And why are they still here.

A question about a "megatruck" for a train.
Madcat2000 replied to Madcat2000's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Would it be possably to move the turntables back to the back of the train baseplate to allow more room on the front of it or would cause problems like puting all the weight on the back truck and mabey causing the front end to even rise up a little? -

Madcat2000 replied to Madcat2000's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I think I'll put the support cars on a pair of seperate armored trains that run ahead to clear any resistance. That should alleviate a fair amount of weight. The actual dora and gustav used steam engines over long distances and once they got close to the site and assembled it would be moved by a pair if oil engine so the enemy couldn't see the smoke of a steam train. So most likely it will at first be pulled by a pair of Emerald Nights, until I can build more suitable engines. Also just so you know the RC engines are notoriously bad for pulling power and quality, which if I read right is what you used , I heard of a guy whose RC passenger train could barely pull itself in normal configureation. If that is the case a pair of ENs should be enough for the gun atleast. Thanks for mentioning that the technic beams might not be able to support it, I'll try to double it or find a way to make it work.
