How to start building up a brick collection best?
Ak-47 replied to funkybrick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The problem with the large brick bins is that they don't include smaller pieces. They usually have your standard 2x2, 2x4, 1x2, etc. All those pieces would be a lot cheaper buying in bulk through bricklink. I recommend getting a sets, and when you want a part of one, well, take it off! -
Rolls Royce's are so ugly. I saw this one that was flat black and I was like "Why the hell would you want something like this? It makes me wanna throw up..." right as the owner walked bye.

These two are bugatti veyrons, 1.5 million each, and out of the 16 in the world I saw two. Front. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, 1.9 million and only 5 were ever made (all of which were already sold!). Only it's third time appearing in a public event. tell me if you wanna see more from Laguna Seca. I have 90+ pics.

Sorry, but I'm sure we'd all like to see a small motor and a small 1 AA battery box, but it'll probably never happen. It'd also be nice to have technic and stud mounts, but they didn't did they.

Digital Tablet reader to view instructions
Ak-47 replied to happymark's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Did you just say a netbook looks better than an iPad? You need to do some research. The way I see it is if you get a tablet than you get all of its included features. -
I have a Sony Ericson from like 3 years ago, use it like 5 times a month. Maybe I'll get an iPhone. My parents say I don't use my phone so they won't get it but they don't understand that all it can do is call people But, don't you tink 6 gb of streaming is a lot? I mean A LOT!

Oh my, quite sorry about that. I never did much in it, just looked at the guides for taking pictures, editing mocs, etc. I thought I remembered something about being able to do it after 500 posts, but I figured the rule could've changed do to growing members, etc.

The point is that we'd see what they prevent and appreciate them more, no one really knows what they deal with or anything. And, they'd have to not give us the date so no one would plan an attack on the site

I honestly don't see why this is a terrible idea, I think we need a moderator/admin to tell us how much goes on. If it's to much, then we'll just let this idea go. BTW, i used the little button that says "create poll".

Just wondering, maybe as a little social experiment none of the mods log in all day? I don't know how much deleting/other stuff they actually do (not trying to offend!), but it'd be interesting to see! I bet it would really show how much they keep this communtity together, and make us appreciate them even more!

Yeah, looking back on it, it is skinny. I don't think this would fly in space

A long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away... Wait WHAT?!? Nononono, the only thing this ship has to do with star wars was it was made using only the parts from LEGO's Y-WIng (7658). Well, I guess it was made in Marseilles... Oh well, here it is in all of it's hard to balance glory- A little snapshot of it's greebles (they're still called that right?)- And a little shot of it's extremely delicate backside - this thing can barely be touched!- Funny thing is, this thing was made back in september 2008 when I went to France. Pretty much my second space-ship, so comments and concerns are really appreciated! Thanks everybody!

It has to do with pictures so there, thats why it's in multimedia I can't seem to deeplink pics from flickr, ever since they made that redesign that I hate. I mean, I CANT FIND THEM! My god, for the life of me I just can't do it. I'm sure someone here knows how to do it, so could someone please tell me how to find the deeplink? ~thanks

Oh, they're still on my floor. Imagine this forum with simple looking buttons and no pop down menus.

Pretty amazing how much this sight has changed and grown. Anyone else remember back in 2006-2007 (can't remember), when this place was at like 1000 members. I just looked at the moderators list, and boy, I can remember talking to them when they were new like me and making friends with them. I know this sounds really cheesy (and I'm only 14), but it really makes me want to get into LEGO again. ~Ak-47

How do you do it? I didn't know humans could do this, you must have monkey's in your brain. -
RAF Pilots, Britain 1940.
Ak-47 replied to Snowspeeder Pilot's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Pretty good, I especially liekd the head and helmet choice, it really suits the time period. The life vests however, do not. They seem a little bright, maybe trim them down with a knife and paint them? -
HIHIHIHI I'm kinda back, but seeing all these guys post has reminded me of all the good times! Are any of them still active? BTW, I know most of these guys through being a mod at tabletown.

The Pirates and the NXTfied Theater (by NeXTSTORM)
Ak-47 replied to Capt. Kirk's topic in LEGO Pirates
I don't believe it actually looks like that, because it's impossible to do all that in such a small space. I'm willing to bet the theater is only a facade and that the creation extends under the table and 1-2 feet back. I mean, did you see that Imperial navy ship go under? It would need to be much, much bigger if that could've actually happened. -
Petition: We want the Pirates Advent Calender in the United States
Ak-47 replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
I am just shocked and amazed. I mean, you think maybe the people at Lego would have learned from past business mistakes. Seriously, what were they smoking down at the headquarters when they made this decision? -
Number 1- Emperor's Arrival by Morten Sonne Number 2- Master Yoda Talkshow by Basiliscus Number 3- What if...? by Der Seb Number 4- Rogue Tauntaun by Commander Tac Number 5- Luke's Landspeeder by Lars That was surprisingly hard, there's so many good MOC's to choose from. Did anyone go to Pebble Beach or the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca? I did. There was 2 Buggati's (sp?) there, along with about 50 ferraris, 25 Aston's, and since Porsche was the mark this year, like 2 billion of them, including my dads. And that was just the parking lot.

Warner Brothers planning CGI/live action LEGO film
Ak-47 replied to Whittleberry's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Don't think so, especially as Toy Story 3 is coming out, and by the time this came out Toy Story would already be out, and I can guarantee if this is true Toy Story will be better. Anyway, does this seem like a good idea to anyone?
